1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Taproot proposal on: January 28, 2020, 01:38:32 PM
Right now I don't think the current amount of engineering interest in Bitcoin is particularly healthy.  Many long time contributors, including myself, have essentially stopped contributing for a variety of reasons (including uncertainty around political disruption of deploying even fairly boring new consensus changes, concern that too much bitcoin hashpower is controlled by bitcoin adversarial parties who would attempt to block protocol improvements, etc. on top of more generic factors).  Lightning is also easier, faster, and often more interesting to work on and so it has diverted a lot of new blood.

The bips 340 341 and 342 if there is in the community a large consensus for their implementation, will in my opinion be one of the most important upgrades to Bitcoin. However, this implementation will also be a test of the community and its future, because if Bitcoin was already advertised by governments as a facilitation of money laundering, as well as the financing of criminal and terrorist organizations, with this upgrade, we will see strong attacks by political power.

Regarding to the hashpower, the new stratum v2 protocol, aims to further decentralization and break, in part, with the pools decision-making regarding to block protocol improvements.

3  Economy / Currency exchange / Looking to buy over 10k btc on: June 25, 2018, 03:57:11 PM
I'm looking for bitcoin sellers, with great delivery capacity over 10k bitcoins.

Let me say that these buyers are legit, and have immediate ability to make purchases of bitcoins and that the transaction will be bank to bank, with KYC.

The procedure starts with an initial draft agreement, then video call in which the seller shows POC and the buyer shows POF simultaneously. After this is arranged a metting on the bank with the seller and the buyer. In this meeting, the agreement will be finalized and signed.

PS: Scammers do not bother to contact, your not welcome.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] [BCL] BitcoinLatina | For Latin America | First EOS-based blockchain ⚡ on: February 25, 2018, 04:37:51 PM
I think people are still confused with BitcoinLatina, because ANN does not clarify the miners well.

Let's see if I can help.

BitcoinLatina has a project behind the coin, it is not just on more, and I think that can change the view in crypto world.
You can see the first WhitePaper - https://bitcoinlatina.org/assets/documents/BitcoinLatina_White_Paper.pdf?platform=hootsuite

Now the important thing for miners to know, what are the specifications:

POW Algo: Ethash (can be mined until at least June 1, according to the team's, after that would be an swap to EOS blockchain)
Block reward: 3
Block time: 16 sec (more or less)

For those who have not yet realized, this is the most profitable currency of the moment. You can do about 20 BCL with 100Mhs and you can do the maths by seen the exchange - https://wallet.bitshares.org/#/market/BCL_BTS

For now we can not put the mined coins directly into the exchange, but Team will do it for us as already described.

So enjoy mining.

Here are some more important links:
Explorer: http://explorer.bitcoinlatina.org/#/
Wallet: https://github.com/bitcoin-latina/clavis-wallet/releases

The difficulty is rising, but with 100Mhs you can still make about 15BCL/day. The exchange rate is now on about 1BCL=10BTS.

Each BTS is at 0,21usd, so do your maths... This is the most profitable coin to mine with GPU. And with an huge plus, the project beind.

Go to telegram, the admins are there to help.

See you all in the pools.... Safe mining  Grin

"MN auctions in discord.
Start in 9:00 UTC 08/02"

People are still buying MNs in discord after all the scams?

I agree with you.
There are "dev teams" that start Mastenode coins and then open a discord, do pre-sale and or auction and then either coin does not even start or after being on masternodes.online with 1000% and 2000% ROI the "dev teams" start to dump, and then start a new.

And if you look the specs they are almost the same.

https://medium.com/@MedicCoin/how-to-evaluate-masternode-coins-35eba588cec3

Hello & Happy New Years to everyone!

This is a first working day in the year 2018, and we have some update.

- We get back the SSL key from previous VPS provider, so you can see the green secured icon in our website (https://edollar.cash)

- The language translation bounty are moving to this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2676729.new#new, we are processing transferring bounty reward. Logo design bounty will be updated soon.

- As comicbook125's suggestion, We will have 'monthly update day' to list what We've done in the previous month. We are considering the 1th day of every month.

- We've contacted with some exchanges, many were delayed because of the new year holiday. Hope that everything will be alright in this month.

It's always great to see a dev team that gives update about what is being done. This gives the assurance that this project is here to stay.

Now the comunity needs to grow, and why not a telegram?

Hi guys,

The sense of comunity drove me to this coin, and i'm now mining. Really tinhk this is very undervalue.
But a think i read all of the 22 pages, and i can't find what would be the total supply.

So, GDAX and Coinbase are going to add new coins, this is gona be huge for the selected coins.

Can Bitcore have a chance? It would be massive.

1) Is it an open financial decentralized network with that promotes innovation and economic freedom providing more control over individual’s wealth and property?
2) Is it a secure open source code, with tested and documented peer review, demonstrating a security and disclosure of vulnerability?
3) Is it run by a qualified team, good interaction with the community, and does it have venture capital firms or hedge funds working with it?
4) Is it scalable which allowing for growth?
5) Does it have practical applications and real world implementation and does it help solve problems?
6) Does it have a mechanism for raising funds for future development
7) How liquid is the asset?
Cool Is it globally traded?
9) Is there demand and enough tokens available to the public?
10) Does it comply with Anti-Money Laundering?
11) Is the ownership stake retained by the team is a minority stake? (Interesting they put this under token sale structure and what they “believe” are the best practices for ICO’s.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sikka - Cryptonote POW- New Coin- Great Black Friday Lottery! on: November 20, 2017, 11:19:15 PM
How about exchange listing, dev? By now, the coin has been released almost 3 months. It's old enough for exchanges. Thank you.

We will complete 2 months on the day after tomorrow.
Can you list any benefit or requirement to go early on the exchange. Apart from visionless miners want to dump and then mine another new currency and keep repeating this with every new coin.
We are not scammer or students in college who launch a coin and then move on to exchange to encash and than close the project.

We do not see a benefit to go before exchanges before making a real progress and show them how distinctly we will add value to cryptocurrency space with our vision and unique approach.

We have not raised an ICO, while every few came forward to help and contribute, And there are so many people who just expect this project to become what other coins have achieved in years.

Things take time and as soon as we can grow as a community, things will be faster, refined and bring maturity to this project.

We do not make a promise or float news to bring anyone's interest into Sikka. We will reveal all details fairly to everyone as we progress, the same practice we will follow when Sikka will be on the exchange, we will not project or say anything to pump or manipulate the price.

This project is a long-term and extensive vision based. Those who are looking for quick bucks should not bother about Sikka, there are many scammers launching coins day and night with very quick exchange listing, you can mine those and celebrate being part of those scammers to cheat your fellow investors.

Don't get me wrong and I prefer that a project goes to market after it has made some progress. But the dump will come no matter when you list on exchange. Getting listed early has some benefits as well. Sikka will get investors who are not miners and it will help the community grow. And with the bigger community, awareness in the market about Sikka will grow as well that will bring more miners to support the network.

I agree, i think that the exchange would benefit sikka, but i also think before exchange the wallet issues must be resolve, and for now needs to be the goal.
