What is Default picks? only 2 matches till now and so much up and down.

Default picks comes in play when participants don't opt for any options- or sometimes forgets about it. One thing to remember in default picks is that there is no margin points but only win points.

How does it work? - Depends on the community picks- higher % of win for any team in one game considered as "Default pick" automatically.

@JSRAW what a incredible test debut for Jamieson as heís picked up 3 valuable wickets, and Indian batman are currently struggling to face him so do you expect him to take more wickets as the match progresses?.

True, dream debut for him. yeah Why not? I would say good opportunity for him to take fifer in his debut game, he can easily knock down tailenders.

Mayank's dismissal was disappointing. He did all the hard work for 2 long hours and then wasted his wicket on very loose delivery.

Lol Rain came to rescue but small drizzle not going to save match for India.

^^ thing still looking okay for Indians despite losing 1 wicket, atleast they didn't lose the 2 wickets in first hour lol considering its dark green wicket Cheesy and So far Pujara and Mayank handling new ball quite well, for kiwis new guy Jamieson looking excellent.

Edit : oh boy!! Pujara gone and Jamieson got the first test wicket.

Lol @Bitstat19.... Now kohli gone, 2 wickets for debutant.

^^ And Virat lost the toss, again!! Kiwis are bowling first. @ vishnu yeah his name is Kyle Jamieson, it's his debut test match. For India ; Rishabh-Ashwin in and Saha- jadeja benched.

Hope openers survives first hour.  Grin

100th test match for Ross Taylor.

For Kiwis - Seam bowler Wagner is not part of the first Test.

This is a big blow for New Zealand, because Wagner had performed exceptionally well against both England and Australia. He was the backbone of Kiwi pace attack for sometime, along with Boult. The absence of Wagner is going to have a big impact on their chances, as Indians are comfortable against the other bowlers such as Matt Henry and Boult.
Yeah, big blow for kiwis. Don't remember the name of replacement bowler but replacement bowler (insert name) performed well against the Indians in recent ODI series. Boult is dangerous bowler when he's up against subcontinent batsmen.

- Wagner's wife is pregnant and they are expecting first baby soon.

^^ Update on Indian pacer, Ishant seems match fit as he took part in Net-session. Now there is big chance of him playing in the upcoming test.
If Ishant Sharma is not fit to play they will include Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami along with Jasprit Bumrah completes the fast bowling line up and they might play two spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin and there are reports coming that Rishabh Pant might replace Wriddhiman Saha and if that is the case we might see some dropped catches Cheesy. The pitch might help the fast bowlers in the beginning but then it might help the batsman as per the pitch reports and hence toss will be an important factor.

Saw couple of press conference of skipper Virat and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane and they were hinting that Ishant-Bumrah-Shami trio is set for first test. They didn't gave green light for 2 spots though -spinner and Wicket keeper-

About ground, for some reason everyone saying that wind plays a big part at this venue "Basin Reserve,Wellington" and its green wicket. Kohli sucks at toss so if we go by his track record, then he's going to lose the toss and then Kiwis surely going to invite Indians to bat first. I hope Virat wins the toss this time and opt to bowl first.

For Kiwis - Seam bowler Wagner is not part of the first Test.

-No spot for Glenn Maxwell in Australian T-20 squad ..

Yeah Maxwell was left out once again. I never understand why the Australian selectors leave Maxwell out of the T20 team all the time even though he has played well in the domestic competition, it just doesn't make sense to me as he is one of the top T20 players when he is in form so he should be playing in most T20 matches but for some reason he never gets picked to play.

I looked into it and found out that he's ruled out from this tour because of his recent Elbow injury and he voluntary took break for surgery. He's going to miss First phase of IPL as well.

"Maxwell : Representing Australia is the highest honour in cricket and something I cherish," Maxwell said. "I was not confident that I could perform at international level with my elbow in its current state and have decided to undergo surgery straight away to fix the issue."

@Vishnu.Reang  Sure thing bro. Dude you should drop text in IPL discussion thread.

3 New Bilateral Tours are coming up fellas.

~snip~

The month of Feb/Mar/ Apr are the season of PSL and IPL. You won't find much interest in these ODI & Test series when IPL is in progress, as all the attention is towards this league. Only the native people will find these matches to be important and interesting.

According to my preferences
- Aus-SA series is interesting
- ODI Cricket seems boring this year due to T-20 WC
- Don't have much interest in other bilateral series.

And there is not much international cricket happening when IPL starts (29 March) so its fine.
