1  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: FastCash4Bitcoins (Update rate: just 2.99% below MtGox last) on: January 08, 2013, 09:47:22 PM
I have a question, I created an order for an ACH transfer and the order has been confirmed, is there any way I can track the status of the ACH transfer or should I just wait 3-5 business days. Thanks
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox - wtf? on: August 09, 2012, 01:21:34 PM
Imagine how rich we would be at $1 billion per coin.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoincharts: Three months since we've had a red week. on: August 02, 2012, 02:16:07 AM
Take a step back from the intraday noise and chaos for a moment. Notice, it's been a full three months since we've had a red week.

Good.

So...you're selling BTC. Not buying.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HOLY SHIT BTC-E.COM hit $40 per BTC! on: July 31, 2012, 05:17:17 AM
Seriously, how hard would it be to write some code which starts ringing your phone/activates an alarm in your home or whatever when this kind of unusual activity takes place?  It's ridiculous how often these things don't get stopped at the outset because there's no system in place for the owner to be contacted and notified immediately.

It would not be very hard. But what about cost of implementation? Who in the right mind would pay to implement that type of system for the thousands of users of BTC-E?

This is a hack.!

Not a remote chance imo because:
1. Millionaires don't become millionaires by paying 5x-10x more than something is worth.
2. A millionaire wouldn't use a site like BTC-e.
3. There are way better methods to launder money without making a scene.

 Cheesy

Like I said before, I x4'd my money because of whatever happened. I'm sure he may have bought a few hundred REALLY LOW (~8.80), then sold that few hundred REALLY HIGH ($60) Rofl

Well were you able to withdraw your money successfully?
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HOLY SHIT BTC-E.COM hit $40 per BTC! on: July 31, 2012, 04:31:27 AM
Has anyone tried buying/selling with success?

that's not the problem, the problem is withdrawing any USD (that doesn't exist)

Sell BTC for fake USD, then use that same fake USD to buy bitcoins back and withdraw to wallet. The USD may be fake and not actually there but it should still be able to be traded for BTC

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Dwolla: story of account suspension on: July 27, 2012, 03:50:50 PM
Created a Dwolla account in June 2011 and used it for a few MtGox transactions (both deposits and withdrawals)--went pretty well.

After about a year of inactivity in July 2012 I made a bank transfer of a small amount to Dwolla. The transfer clears and when I try to send the funds to MtGox it asks me to verify my account by submitting my SSN. After submitting my SSN, they say it's wrong (which it isn't) and ask for a photo ID. So I submit the photo ID, and a few minutes later I get an email saying my account is permanently suspended.

A day later I call Dwolla support and tell them the issue, and they say the "SSN doesn't match our records." I asked them the sources against which they checked my information and they refused to answer. I asked if they checked it against a third party source and responded neither affirmatively nor negatively and said they "can't disclose that information." The name, number, and other information I submitted were completely correct. Furthermore, they asserted that their sources "are not wrong."

Fortunately they were able to manually transfer the funds back into my bank account.

Never again will I touch Dwolla. This is absolutely ridiculous. This is just a warning to anyone who gets a notification that account verification with an SSN is necessary.

12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn! The Forum is up again :/ on: September 11, 2011, 04:26:11 PM
Ok?
13  Economy / Speculation / What just happened on: September 11, 2011, 04:05:50 PM
Of course, I leave bitcoin for a few weeks and I come back to see that the price is $4 with spikes like this.

Have we been goxed again or do we have some big players constantly selling and buying into each other
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCGuild - SolidCoin Fork of BTC Guild on: September 04, 2011, 06:44:50 AM
It's the same address I used for my past four payments, all successful. Still happening..

There was an error processing your payout. Please try again.
16  Economy / Speculation / Let's recap on what we've seen in the past few months on: September 02, 2011, 03:54:58 AM
We started at $32.

We saw a seemingly stable 17.
It went down.

We had a seemingly stable 13.
It went down.

Stable 10.
Guess? Ah, you're right, it went down.

Now we're at 8. Guess what will happen?

Honestly, anyone who thinks it will go up is too optimistic.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which graph is more useful and why? on: August 30, 2011, 01:55:18 PM
Normal Vs Log

If you look at the Log graph then it does not really resemble the classic "bubble" that everyone keeps harping on about... what gives  Undecided

Wow.. I like the Log one (with weighted prices).. I know it is too optimistic and arbitrary.. but it looks like price correction takes about twice as match time as the it took to grow from the previous maximum.. If this it is true, then it is going to be 30$/btc in september and over 50$/btc by November Smiley

It's almost September, and we're at sub $10
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis on: August 28, 2011, 01:14:06 AM
Funny how your long term is always up. How long is "long term?" All we've been seeing for the past 4 months is down, down, down
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holy CRAP the manipulator has pulled out!!!!! Freefall seems inevitable on: August 26, 2011, 01:06:52 PM
Edward, you seem to have invested a lot of time in investigating this "market manipulator." Perhaps you got a little something for him?

*wink*
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins can now only buy 100 solidcoins, how far will BTC fall against SC on: August 26, 2011, 01:04:51 PM
