The best way to summarize the above post is that FLO still exists and you can think of PIN as wrapped FLO on other chains. Similar to WBTC that exists on other chains. I feel this drains the entire project of what I thought was cool about it in the first place. I wish y'all nothing but the best though... I would like to better understand how adding additional features "drains" existing features. Could you explain your reasoning? For example: wrapped bitcoin didn't fundamentally change BTC, BTC still exists, and is the root of all trades of its derivatives. If wrapped BTC fails, it doesn't affect bitcoin at all, it's an optional extension of bitcoin and allows others to speculate on its price What will happen with the transactions messages in the current blockchain? Nothing is changing on the original FLO client, all transaction messages still exist, and will be supported as long as the software exists I aint gots the time to figure out what exactly is happening. But do clarify, anyone in the know.
In principle. Amending anything regarding the classic blockchains, from brand or specs, is terminal.
It demonstrates, not decentralized.
Nothing has changed with the original FLO client, you can choose to use it and we will continue to support it, improve it, and maintain it. It's still as decentralized as it always was (and probably more if we gain new users/adoption from these auxiliary activities) Happy to answer any and all questions regarding the wrapped FLO (PIN) coins that exist or what our plans are for the FLO-qt client that is still being mined and supported by scrypt PoW

Hi,
My account was flagged with negative rep with a link to this thread as a reference. I believe this is a mistake - my account has been active since May 21, 2013 and was not sold to scammers. I've been posting in the same threads for 6-7 years, you can check my account info and history to confirm that. If anyone has any information on what could have led up to my account being flagged then please let me know.
Thank you, metacoin

Medici Land Governance mining poolhttps://pool.mediciland.comMining on this pool supports: 1. Increased FLO hashpower to secure property records 2. Increased throughput for MLG's property record transactions 3. Increased validation via FLO full nodes connected to the pool's infrastructure It looks like Medici is already putting some property records into the FLO blockchain. This block has 1,094 transactions and paid an extra 3 FLO to miners as a block reward. It had an almost 50% increase in mining reward because of transaction fees. The current block subsidy is 6.25 FLO per coinbase transaction. As OIP gains usage we should see more blocks like this on the network encouraging miners to secure FLO with their hashpower. ----- can comments be extende for news articles? floData is best used to store metadata for searching through content. News articles can be uploaded to IPFS or another file storage network, then linked to OIP through a URI on the FLO blockchain. Learn more about OIP here: https://openindexprotocol.com

Sorry if that question sounds stupid, but I couldn't find any examples yet. Could someone kindly post a simple example (or a link to) on how to notarize a string on flo blockchain with the help of the rpc-cli? Maybe even how to access/decode the same string again from the rpc-cli.
Any help/example is greatly appreciated, TIA.
To put a floData message into the blockchain, you can use the qt-client, or use the RPC command sendtoaddress like this: sendtoaddress "address" amount ( "comment" "comment_to" subtractfeefromamount replaceable conf_target "estimate_mode" "flodata" ) Send an amount to a given address.
Arguments: 1. "address" (string, required) The flo address to send to. 2. "amount" (numeric or string, required) The amount in " + CURRENCY_UNIT + " to send. eg 0.1 3. "comment" (string, optional) A comment used to store what the transaction is for. This is not part of the transaction, just kept in your wallet. 4. "comment_to" (string, optional) A comment to store the name of the person or organization to which you're sending the transaction. This is not part of the transaction, just kept in your wallet. 5. subtractfeefromamount (boolean, optional, default=false) The fee will be deducted from the amount being sent. The recipient will receive less flos than you enter in the amount field. 6. replaceable (boolean, optional) Allow this transaction to be replaced by a transaction with higher fees via BIP 125 7. conf_target (numeric, optional) Confirmation target (in blocks) 8. "estimate_mode" (string, optional, default=UNSET) The fee estimate mode, must be one of: "UNSET" "ECONOMICAL" "CONSERVATIVE" 9. floData (string, optional) Transaction floData (default = "").
Result: "txid" (string) The transaction id.
