I think the idea of merits is reasonable but actual realisation is bad. As I understand newbies will fail to improve especially from member to full member. To get so many merits is very tough even if you have enough experience in technologies and familiar with bitcointalk foum rules. I think this forum need some upgrades as well. It's about blockchain. So, we can make the forum on the blockchain. We have steemit, dtube. Why don't we have bitcointalk with similar functions? Bitcointalk can easily collect enough money on ICO without much promotion and there are enough talented developers.

It's up to you of course but before promote or work with any brand new ICO you have to do your homework - research the company, team, idea, documents as mych as possible and only after that start work. Look at this as an investment of your time and efforts. 95%+ will fail obviously, half of them will be pure scams. But if you did your homework good enough then you will have good profits. At least much higher chances to get it.

I saw Binance and Kucoin almost from beginning. I remember most pros and cons plus similarities as well as price movements in 2017 but overtime I really bet on binance. They proved their competition. Kucoin for the opposite isn't that strong exchange and a lot coins dropped below tge price after listing.

I've done some experimentation, and there are a couple of solutions for Bitcoin donations on WordPress:

1) You can install the "Easy Bitcoin Donation Widget" plugin, which provides a very simple QR code with a fixed address. Change it as frequently as you like.
2) You can install the "Give WordPress Donations", "GoUrl.io Payments Gateway", and "GoUrl Bitcoin donation addon" plugins (all three) to generate a unique address for every donation. However, once a donation has been made, it is forwarded to a single fixed address. This can probably be changed as desired too.

Neither of these is quite what I'm after. Ideally I'd like to provide a master public key, which provides a new donation address every time a payment is made. Not 100% sure what this would require. Maybe some sort of processing of the blockchain, to determine when the current donation address has been used?

I understand that the term "wallet" can be used to refer to the Bitcoin client software, such Armory, Electrum, or the official Bitcoin Core. What I'd like to ask about is the logical concept of a "wallet", that holds a collection of Bitcoins across these various products.

Is a wallet merely a collection of private/public key pairs that can be used to send/receive Bitcoins? How are these addresses generated? Is there a maximum number of addresses that can be generated per wallet? How does the client know if an address is in my wallet? How is a HD wallet (used in Mycelium) different from an ordinary wallet?

Also, I have a related question: according to the official Bitcoin website, an address should only be used to receive coins once. I want to put a donation link on my website. How can I generate a new address for each donation?

How did you manage to create a Watching-Only wallet though? Mycelium creates HD wallets that are all recoverable with the same seed phrase.

What do you mean by "password"? Are you talking about the 12 word seed phrase, or the PIN? If you have the 12 word seed phrase of your original wallet, it should work with the next HD wallet you created. In this case you would need to reinstall Mycelium.

I don't think the PIN is enough to recover your coins with another wallet, like Mycelium. But the passphrase or private keys *might* be recoverable from your phone. I personally don't know how to do it. Perhaps someone else can help you.

Amazon.com does not accept Bitcoin, but gyft.com sells Amazon gift cards for Bitcoin, so there is a workaround.

However, when I went to sign up for gyft.com today, it told me it is only available for residents of USA.

I have access to a VPN provider that has servers in America. Has anyone been able to access gyft.com from places outside USA using this technique?

Yay, it worked! I installed Mycelium on my Android device, created a new wallet, then used the Cold Storage option. I used my Hive passphrase and my bitcoins appeared in the wallet.

Okay, I used my seed phrase with https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/ to generate a BIP32 root key, but when I put this key into electrum, it displayed a balance of 0 bitcoins.
