Okay, I have never transferred shares on BTC-TC.  Where do I find this option?

On your My Assets page/tab of your Portfolio. Take a look at the bottom I think (I don't have any shares anymore so I can't quite tell the exacts) and there should be a drop down asking you to select an asset and then it asks for a few more things, including the name of the account you are sending too (CaSe Sensitive).

Well every time I try I get "Trading is currently frozen on this security." in big red letters.

You have to set a withdrawal address. Click on the "set a withdrawal address" when it gives you an error. And then link an alternative bitcoin address of yours(ie, blockchain.info account address etc)

You Sir Matt are a gentleman and a scholar.

Just for the sake of speculation, did S.Dice holders ever get that payout they were waiting for? Seems to have gotten drowned out in the roar of IPO's the last couple days.

Dude... we are talking New Who now... way to kill it with speculation talk.

thanks for the help and sunshine this morning regarding this 140+ page thread  Grin

Some how this makes it ok to be lazy and expect us to spoon feed information? For christ FSM sake just go book mark the link to posts only by Ken. Then you don't have to read as much. We understand how much it hurts to comprehend words.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to post an update about the AMC -> ActiveMining conversion.

Ken did contact me asking if it could be done and I am working on it.
Since this is the first time it will be be done I am writing a script for this procedure and want to put it through a few runs on the live-copy internal test system and make sure all logging and other much needed data is 100% before actually executing it. I don't want any issues out of this.

For those of you who say 'just have it take AMC, and give us ActiveMining' its not as simple as that when you do extreme logging, share tracking, transaction entries, etc.
I just want to spend the right amount of time to make sure things go as smoothly as possible and not "slap a simple script together".

I was hoping to get it done today but had some family stuff to deal with. Hopefully it will be doable within the next 20~24 hours or possibly sooner depending on time availability.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
Ukyo

This is completely reasonable and people will have to be patient. I'd rather something be done right than be done fast. Anyone that wants to kick their legs and scream can just sell their shares as far as I'm concerned, because as others have said... if they can't wait a little and are over anxious then they are over invested and didn't know what they were doing in the first place.
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing ATX-Pi on: July 31, 2013, 11:54:54 PM
Sorry for the delay on this. I haven't been home. Pics of it mounted on the standoffs are below. As you can see each board is mounted on a single standoff. This is because neither the RPi nor the ATX-Pi are large enough to straddle two standoffs that line up with the provided holes. The second screw you see on the RPi actually isn't in the board, it's just holding the board in place for me for it doesn't move around. There is a standoff under it and the SDcard is just placed under it so the head of the screw rests on top of it.

Additionally one minor issue I had is that the holes on the ATX-Pi are too small for standard standoff screws. I initially tried to mount it by the hole next to the power switch pins. Bad idea. That edges is too thin around two sides of the hole. But I did that first because there was nothing on the board in that area that could be damaged. So, don't do this. Get yourself a smaller screw that fits through the hole and put a little Gorilla Glue in the standoff itself. Don't fill the whole standoff, just enough for the screw to reach it and push the glue up a little bit around a few threads. As long as you don't put enough in that it comes up and touches the board then it's fairly easy to unmount the board should you need to in the future. That little tiny bit of glue is strong enough to hold everything in place. But if you apply a little pressure with a screwdriver then you can easily break the seal later. There are better ways to mount this if you order the parts I'm sure. But I worked with what I had around my house.

I plan to put my klondike-16s in the 5.25 and 3.5 bays using adapters from https://cp.virtualvm.com/cart.php (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246638.0)

Luckily the extra case I am using has a external LED temp display and a wired sensor which you can see laying between the boards. Case fans and this display will also be run off the power supply that is powering everything so it should be a nice and neat self contained system.

Is it perfect? Nope. But it does the job. Let me know if you have any questions.

Edit: Oops, pictures way too big to put directly in the thread.  Roll Eyes

Mind it sending BTC from BTCT to BF will take a minimum of 4 hours.. so not a good option now.. on the other hand  BF to BTCT takes hardly an hour..

I've been waiting two hours to get my BTC out of weexchange, stuck on "Processing."  What a crappy system.

I generally watch my transaction on blockchain.info as WX requires 6 confirmations. It's easier then re-logging into WX multiple times because you get logged out for being idle.

wow. Do you think this is the second ASICMINER? Wreck you will lose. Their technology is not, Chinese people know

Try that again. However, can I request that you use the words in some form of logical order so that the average reader can understand your depths of knowledge?

I'm making a huge profit by buying up cheap shares that you're all dropping right now.  Sorry, but you guys are irrational idiots and it's going to make me US rich.

I'm just gonna keep on gobbling up more ACTIVEMINING shares like a pacman.

I now have a image of someone buying a share and then running around chasing a blue ghost.

BTCGarden and Labcoin

Labcoin looks nice even though they are still using 130nm chips. Their estimated cost/GH looks great. Since they aren't looking to update to current gen/next gen chips i find this to be realistic and possible.

BTCGarden on the other hand seems kinda expensive when it comes to cost/GH in the chips. Those kinda prices make the ROI slightly high for the end users. Also 130nm chips as well. Making it easier to get to market since it relatively common place right now.

At the cost/chip labcoin seems to be the competition here. However over the long term more and more people are going to want 28nm chips to save on electricity costs, specially as difficulty skyrockets as the network works it's way to 25k TH or more. First ones with the cheaper to run chips are a better investment, IMHO.

You may get a quicker buck day trading with Labcoin and BTCGarden for the next little while, but I don't it is a good enough reason to bail on ActM. I maybe buy some shares of the other two as well but I still see ActM as holding it's value after the initial panic selloff to buy the other two is over.

Go do research. Figure out how this works. Just based on your questions you've done none. These are the same questions placed in every single IPO thread it seems and people need to invest time before they start investing money. Don't listen to what anyone says here because in all honesty any number they give you is pulled from no more rational place than their own ass.
13  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO] [IPO] [FAQ]BTCGARDEN MINER---Eyes to the horizon on: July 30, 2013, 03:35:58 PM
When can I start buying shares in the IPO?

date and time?

Just like every single other fund on BTCT you can't do shit until it's voted on. There is not and never has been a set timeline for when votes have to be in by. So there is no way to answer this, just like every single other fund.

Read the bitfunder irc chat log.  I was bitching about them for awhile.  This should be valid proof of my motives.

Now that you have promised not to sell, you can enable your public portfolio in BTCT and link it for us.

ok, how?

Go to Account => Settings => Public Portfolio to YES.

16  Economy / Reputation / Re: ik2013 Reputation thread on: July 29, 2013, 06:39:13 PM
Hey all,

I was one of the two prototype buyers if the ATX-Pi and I have to say it is a solid little device and works exactly as he says. Since it was relatively cheap I took a chance and sent the BTC to ik2013 directly, no escrow. 3 days later I had the board in my mailbox.

In my opinion he is a solid guy with a decent little device. It's worth the premium if you don't want to do you own programming of a device.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing ATX-Pi on: July 29, 2013, 06:35:53 PM
Just an FYI for all those interested. I have one of these running with my RPi with MinePeon (Arch Linux). Sadly I'm still waiting on my ASICs to arrive but I spent a good deal of time going through the process of getting the scripts running and everything and this little board kicks ass. I have the RPi and this board mounted inside a computer case with standoffs, hooked up to the cases power switch and it works perfectly. When the power button is press when the computer is already on it starts the shutdown sequence, turning off each of the services before finally coming to a halt and turning off the PSU. This is by far the most important part. Without a proper shutdown of the Pi you risk corrupting your SD card and causing more downtime for your mining controller.

Me and ik2013 stumbled across each other on another thread while he was still in the process of developing one of these for himself. I took a chance and bought one from him and I couldn't be happier. If anyone has any specific questions on getting this setup with MinePeon let me know. If I don't respond to the thread just PM me and I'll come back an comment on the thread. However I found it pretty straight forward.

Definitely worth the 30 bucks since i didn't need to cobble one together myself.

I placed my batch 7 order 2 days ago but haven't received a confirmation that payment for chips has been received yet.  I'm thinking Steam is just busy getting everything in order currently, hopefully it comes soon.

This is most likely the issue. In the past 24 hours BKK released what he believes is the final revision of his K16 board. SB is probably lining up the parts for final changes and stuff now and working his ass off with the rest of his supply chain. With production expected to start very soon I'd be surprised if SB has much free time at all. I know it sucks waiting, but every time I've had a question or placed a order or whatever SB has gotten back to me and always had a great answer.

Nothing to worry about. Just time. The enemy of all.

I'm in the same boat. Not 30 hours but almost. I just sent Ken a message and he seems like he is pretty on top of things so I think it's fine and I'm in his "hold bin" for some reason.

And 30 minutes after sending him a PM he responded. I was right, and got delayed because of something I did. Ken is on top of things  Smiley
