1  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of Reach on: December 29, 2020, 03:28:52 AM
My understanding was that the target for the minimum amount of Bitcoin which most
people wanted to own was/is 1BTC in our current bull market that target becomes
more out of reach for the people who most need it.
Why not wealthy person would want to use bitcoin anyway?
It has huge fees so with low btc amounts its practically has no profits.
Someone who isn't operating with at least hundreds of $ worth of btc there is no point to get into the market.
There are far better options like bch or eth
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 18, 2020, 06:00:22 AM
Let me be specific to only bitcoin, Biden or no Biden, Trump or no Trump, bitcoin will always prosper. Its prosperity is not in the hand of anyone because it is not a centralized currency, it is completely decentralized and open source. People are getting to know it and embrasing it. Let us just expert more prosperity for bitcoin as it is becoming the first truly sovereign currency.
Imagine if Trump would enter 100% rage mode and decided to ban all crypto.
So all your pink dreams about allmighty bitcoin would crash all at once.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP (UNI) is driving me CRAZY!! on: September 18, 2020, 03:09:48 PM
How can you receive such a large amount of money? I guess that you used your money to join the liquidity pool because the people who get the most UNI are the liquidity providers.
Congratulations, like winning the lottery.
Not much, actually.
Participating in lottery - is throwing your money in hopes that you'll get larger amount in return.
OP was providing liquidity pools for a really small fee, its hardly profitable at all Imo.
But he did it for the community and now he was rewarded for granting such support.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Earth is a flat disc on: September 07, 2020, 06:44:24 AM
The Earth is undeniably a flat planet.
The fact that you claim it is undeniable makes your point worthless.
Any science related opinion implies to be debatable - any theory can be refuted.
Since your one can't be - its not a theory then
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with 1000% Plus Profits on: September 07, 2020, 06:41:33 AM
Low volume currency , they can easily manipulate the price by giving fake trades and increase the price that way. Its not an honest trading views this just manipulated by owner or one of the supply holders so they can exit with high profit selling it to other traders.
No legitimate currency can give that profit in a day only shit coins do that.
Exactly, moreover there is a pretty big chance of being scammed when investing in one of those.
Because people who pumped the coin surely won't allow you to withdraw/exchange coin, will drain liquidity pool as fast as they can.
Definitely avoid if you're willing to save own funds
7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: September 02, 2020, 03:47:15 AM
Shitcoins are temporary, bitcoin is eternal. You don't neeed this sinful feature as staking, ownr wallet functionality is just enough
Even though I could agree that staking is not something particularly positive, there are so many good coins and features that one wallet could add.
I mean ownr didn't even add top 20 of cmc which are basically the vital thing, because top 20 contain >80% whole crypto market trading volume.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank's loss crypto's gain? on: August 24, 2020, 05:03:23 AM
Whatever banks do, they will not lose the trust of some people, because the meaning of the bank is authority, the meaning of paper money is the trust given by the state. Western European countries with strong banks are in a different situation. In the Middle East and Asia, they have been exposed to many bank frauds over the past 50 years. As a result, the bank's hand is strong.
So the conclusion to this - the banking era will only stop when current "grownup" generation will extinct.
Statistics shows that most of the crypto market usership age is below 27 or something.
Answering the main question tho - crypto is part of global economy now as well as banks, so there is no clear correlation between loss of one and gain of another
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trx or Eth ? on: August 10, 2020, 04:14:47 PM
Both of them have a lot of dapps and they could both go to the sky.
Vitalik and Justin work hard to make their coins better too so i am not sure which one could be better in the future. What do You think about this ?
Ethereum has way bigger projects and opportunities at the moment Imo.
Trx is simply greater than 95% of cryptos (and crypto related companies) out there, but as I said I think Ethereum is included in those 5%
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still sleeping? on: July 31, 2020, 05:04:26 PM
I just recently decided to wake up and invest in a couple of good projects. I don’t think 2017 can happen again, but I expect this year and next to will be no less pleasant.
I guess your investments could be profitable eventually, but for me its rather scary to invest in when the market is in the middle of surge, so chances are its going to end soon
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does true love exist? on: July 24, 2020, 01:52:42 PM
Have you got the chance to experience it?
Yeah I've got the chance and I didn't believe it is a thing before I experienced it.
So if you still haven't - no worries, its a matter of time and effort.
Remeber love is not about finding The One, but its more about building connection with other real person
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 08, 2020, 12:03:06 PM
Back then, very few will focus their research on the use case of the coin. So I really don't blame the OP as we had that kind of thinking before. But then more and more coins were launched and turned out to be crap. And so most of us learned lessons from these crap projects.
you are absolutely right. Op and people who did (or do) the same don't have to blame themselves for such mistake - crypto was absolutely unknown territory for each of us and no one knew whats going to happen
now we have the knowledge so gotta make less mistakes
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins can hit either $8k or bounce back to $10k - volatile times are back? on: June 29, 2020, 08:36:24 PM
Bitcoin has never lost its high price volatility. A decentralized cryptocurrency will always have it. If the price of bitcoin for a relatively long time as a whole stands still, this is most likely an exception based on the counteraction of several opposite factors.
However, no matter how the price of Bitcoin changes now - in the direction of decline or growth, good price growth expects it during the year due to a decrease in remuneration to miners in May, and if the global economic crisis comes soon, then much earlier.
Exactly, the volatility won't decrease until whole bitcoin resource is mined and most of existing coins are settled down in hands of hodlers.
Thats when bitcoin is going to become a real digital gold
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Rise in US unemployment. Thoughts? on: June 24, 2020, 03:35:02 PM
Not only in US but even here in our country unemployment keep on increasing. I think different countries are now experiencing a high numbers of unemployment due to pandemic that until now there is no cure. Is so sad because most of us will continue to a difficult living. Even we're going to save  all that we have as long as we can but our needs continue daily.
Obviously a lot of countries do suffer from covid and unemployment is one of the biggest problems.
Whole world is going to face tough times after end of this lockdown.
We are in huge debt hole and who knows how much more we are going to "fall" in it
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs. Gold: which has been more of a safe-haven asset in 2020? on: June 08, 2020, 05:08:01 PM
It all comes down to stability when you have to consider a real safe haven. Yes, over a cherry picked period ...Bitcoin might have looked like a better safe-haven, but on average the Gold price was more stable. The extreme volatility with Bitcoin scare investors off when they have to decide what investment option is the best for them.
If you want to use Bitcoin as a safe-haven, then you might be in for the long haul... because you have to get in at a low price and then ignore the volatility, until you want to sell at a higher price in the future.  Wink
Have to agree with this one.
Gold shows overall long term stability, Bitcoin on the other side was literally the most profitable asset in this century or something like that
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way To Make Money From Crypto In 2020? on: May 28, 2020, 02:29:17 PM
promoting ICO projects now is not as lucky as 2017/2018, because this is caused by many projects that lead to scam plus payments unlike before, if you have a lot of capital, we better invest in trading or gambling even though the risk is too high.
I don't know about this exactly, but the point in general is quite right.
If you have a decent capital - try to minimize the risk, invest in several cryptos, try to reinvest some of your monthly profit and that basically it.
If you lack a big capital then you still should invest some of your (Even small) capital in lower risk cryptos, I'd say half of it, the other half you can gamble/invest in high risk high reward ones.
And you can consider bounty hunting instead of your job/in addition to regular job
17  Economy / Economics / Re: How can a small shop survive in Manhattan,NY with a rent of 5k per month ? on: May 13, 2020, 03:00:26 PM
The stores alongside it also survive, they all must be in the strategic location to have gotten people passing by that eventually buy some of their products.  They wouldn't be able to make it if the stores nearby sells the same products. If besides the fast food stores lies beside a burger king, the two fast food would likely have same problem.
You know actually there is an economy strategy which requires competing companies locate their shops equally in free spaces.
but thats not realistic at all, so there is an opposite one - you collapse all shops in one good place where a lot of people are and they decide where to go by themselves
this strategy works pretty much all around the world and most of the shops are profiting
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: May 02, 2020, 01:25:41 PM
After the campaign is over and you get your tokens or coins just be prepared for a long term hold because you won't be able to sell the coins or token, so help you GOD, you will be stuck with those tokens in your wallet forever, I challenge the team about listing on uniswap they are ignoring my questions, that's red flag people
I've seen so many young projects attract wide audience, they're posting updates and then they're like "oh-oh there are no exchanges who wills to list us... please followers siege the X exchanges' support"
so they are sitting there and waiting followers to bring exchange's attention to a certain coin/project (because those people already put effort to participate in airdrop or whatever, so are interested in getting their coins/value)
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility Token on: April 27, 2020, 07:26:04 AM
I wouldn't say all are useless because I know a project in partnership with Binance and Okex at the moment which serves as a payment portal for commerce outlets in Hong Kong e.g. Pricerite. The utility token can be used in Cela Vi hospitality outlets too. So I believe that some of these few projects still offer practical utility
Yea, only a small fraction of them have some (limited) utility. Like I said, the majority is for staking purposes to get discounts and airdrops. ETH and EOS, for example, are also a utility token to use its network. But in reality, most users haven't deployed any smart contracts, but only use it as a currency. If it's for e-commerce, they can directly use existing cryptos, and no need to create another token.
In other words, I haven't seen any utility tokens that I desperately need to "consume."
I assume there won't be many useful tokens that could live for a year+ in nearest future, since the market is really fed up with all these useless tokens.
however I believe that there still will be a lot of partially useful projects that will be adopted by such giants like binance or coinbase
that way fresh developers could monetize their work anyway
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Web Developers Union on: April 10, 2020, 12:52:43 PM
It would be more helpful if freelance sites would make low threshold for $/hour price of each profession.
However we're far far away from this and now we has to unite and start this off by ourselves
Even if there is a Union project developers or employer can always find a web developer that will suit his need in terms of price because web developers are in competition and there are newbie web developers that still want to build their portfolio and they will accept a much lower price the union has set up.
I know you're partially right, but it is a bad mentality.
We are in charge of our actions and our community.
There are tons of examples in history of union striking and getting what they want.
If people managed to coordinate themselves like 100 year ago - why can't we in the era of the internet...?
