161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty campain with ETH or BTC payment ? on: June 15, 2019, 08:28:01 AM
well, will it be because of lack of funds?? NO - bounty payments are made post ICO, and only made if the ICO is successfull... so at this point, they will be loaded with ETH and BTC
I think that there are several reasons that include increasing the number of their token users (that will move the market), easy scamming with no one complying (you just need to distribute your tokens and your part is done, you can vannish), paying hunters with "free money" is also an advantage... etc, etc
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Link partners with Google. Thoughts? on: June 15, 2019, 08:19:00 AM
thanks guys for completing the OP.
Very interesting news for Chainlink and all crypto users.... step by step all the large world companies are getting into crypto... a few years from now we'll have a very different world for sure  Wink    it is exciting to realise these are only the first steps...
I wonder if google ins't also considering their own crypto project...
163  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: June 15, 2019, 08:12:12 AM
this is a big issue, that will be difficult to solve.... I think that there are several factors surrounding this matter, including users education, massification of use, regulations, etc...
Time will bring increased massification, and at first the scam rate will boom, but when people get used to crypto, the scams will fall into the same numbers that we see on fiat world...
We are still toddlers.... and there is a large transition period ahead...
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin is the best for trading/investing? on: June 14, 2019, 07:46:43 AM
well, this is a very relative question.... it strongly depends on your investor profile, your personal tastes, and your circunstance.... but nevertheless, there are a few alts you should check due to their recent dynamics, use case, passive income possibility, etc:
but there are countless more good potential projects... to have the best investment possible you really need to do your own research.... don't blindly trust  Wink
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc has no value on: June 14, 2019, 07:42:37 AM
people just like to badmouth the things they don't fully understand.
Value is something people agree and recognize on an object. A $100 bill is only paper with writings on it... the differece is that we recognize value on that paper size and writings...
BTC is a digital form of money... as simple as that
By the badmouthers logic we couldn't use paper money.... oh, but we can, and it has value because the government said so...  Cheesy
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reducing scam on: June 14, 2019, 07:38:37 AM
The best way to reduce ICO/IEO scam is .... not participating  Grin
right now, with so many scams and failures, the risk of investing on ICO is so great that it is almost nonsense...
Why not choose a project with a product, already on exchange, and that doesn't ask you for money in advance? plenty of those out there
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? on: June 14, 2019, 07:33:31 AM
I am also rolling my head around this subject as it is not easy... the ideal would be to sell it in parts, for example, split it in 3 parts and define targets for each part...
I can't really get it to work like that due to several practical aspects... I guess that with so many shitcoins and scams it is more a gamble than anything...
Nevertheless I find that less and better bounties are better than a lot of bounties with no substance  Wink
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is time for Bounty hunters to hold/hodl on: June 14, 2019, 07:28:35 AM
you are right... seems that the tide has changed along with the market dynamics, right now it makes no sense to exchange the rewards for a few dollars... it is a better choice to hold for a few months and let the project develop (if it wasn't for so many scams, this would be the correct way all the time)...
of course there is a risk that the coin ends up at 0, but there is also the chance that it rises.... so it is a gamble... receive 2-5 USD or gamble and hope that some of the projects get a decent value
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 14, 2019, 07:22:27 AM
I think it is important.... from my experience a lot of people won't use online gambling sites if these require personal info. A good way to implement this would be through payment with a privacy coin... (BTC is not anonymous or private)
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitter Truth about Bounties on: June 14, 2019, 07:14:08 AM
I have also learnt that the best bounties are the ones that have no ICO or IEO attached... these bounties are hard to find, but usually, if the product is out and the coin already traded, the chances of getting scammed are much less... and potential value of your coins is high...
some of these bounties even pay monthly... and if the coin allows POS, it is a treasure...
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wifi vs wired internet for the rig on: June 12, 2019, 07:41:09 AM
Wi-fi is always a gamble and much more prone to problems, especially if you have a mine with several rigs and/or if the wi-fi is used by more equipments in the house...
I've adopted this logic and went for cables, but I can also tell you that in my experience these also bring you trouble, they also go bad once in a while... and it is a pain because at first this is the last test option that cross your mind....  Grin
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining low difficulty coins on: June 12, 2019, 07:35:13 AM
The key for this is hours and hours of research...  Grin
I also follow crypto-sieve, an experimental free project in which they have a 1050Ti rig working for low dif. coins, and they make regular mining reports / newsletters... they also have a discord in which you can get their insight... worth to check
most of these coins die, but some get 10-100x, making it all worth
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USB miner for Altcoins on: June 12, 2019, 07:31:02 AM
I agree that USB miners are funny and a good gadget for an experimental/educational setup... but if you want to really learn about mining and want to get the best investment for your money I would use the money to get at least a used GPU to target new coins and get things going...
Don't know how long you'll need to mine using a USB stick to have enough amount to be able to exchange it with profit (depends on the coin of course, but i mean that there are fees to be paid)
Electroneum, like someone said, might also be a good option and you can use your phone...
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU fans started failing, had to improvise a little on: June 12, 2019, 07:07:24 AM
Nicely done... a true miner can't be stopped by a simple fan   Grin
I have a few Gigabytes, they are working for more than 2 years and they are doing quite well, both in performance and fans (one had problems in one), and I also have MSIs, that are not so good in terms of performance, but are also doing good...
maybe I was lucky with the series or something... always heard that the Asus were prone to problems...

176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what happens if Bitcoin dies on: June 09, 2019, 08:22:53 AM
Bitcoin is just one coin, the oldest, strongest ... but just a coin... don't know why people almost mistify it...
If it dies, there are 1000's of other crypto coins...
But why would it die? I believe more about sharing the top places, don't believe that BTC would vanish so easily...
maybe facebook coin with the huge instant adoption might cast some shadow on crypto market....
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be legally accepted in every country in the next 10 years? on: June 09, 2019, 08:18:35 AM
I think that in 10 years there will be nonsense in thinking about banning any crypto... I strongly believe that in 10 years time, crypto will be the society standard for value exchange... not only BTC, but crypto in general....
countries and borders will have a different meaning
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: June 09, 2019, 08:16:02 AM
I think the major reasons are connected with scam, unprofessional teams, crazy dreams instead of real usefull products, lack of corporate responsability (devs might vanish at any time), products that use blockchain but don't have advantage with it....
in the end, I think ICOs were damaging to the crypto space, as they have passed the message that this is chaos... ICOs are just to easy for scammers and kids with no business experience
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO better than ICO? on: June 09, 2019, 08:13:17 AM
In the end IEO is the same as ICO... I agree that at first IEOs tend do be more structured and trustworthy as they were held in major exchanges and the projects were deeply screened ... but after massification, with the huge number of exchanges (both shaddy and regular), IEO will turn out into the same as the ICOs with a slight upgrade
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For How Long?? on: June 08, 2019, 10:31:18 AM
this is just the beginning, when the water starts to heat and has really small bubbles comming up.... I honestly think that the best is yet to come... you know, when the water starts boiling...
I found that instead of just holding, the best thing to do would be POS for passive income... check it out, on some coins you don't even need to have the wallet open
