What about Beam? this is a very promising coin. For me, Veil and Beam are two gems that will give us some good surprises....
Beam dif is probably low at the moment...

423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coins can my computer mine? AMD A8-6410 on: May 11, 2019, 08:14:22 AM
From reading through this thread I got the impression that you need to research and learn before going into anything else. You are having that natural reaction caused by the downfall of your investments. You need to calm down and think this through... your porfolio maybe down now but on crypto things are always on the move.
It is difficult to say what would be right because I don't know your situation, but if you want to get into mining, research first... there are people earning good money with mining as they catch the new projects hen they are very yourng, but this presents high risk and requires constant hard work
Also, review your portfolio, maybe you have a better portfolio than you think... in terms of crypto, the year is just starting
424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gaining quick profits or keep holding? on: May 10, 2019, 06:48:10 AM
I think that everyone has the same problem and just has to come up with a decision...
If you gain a few quick profits and buy back at a lower price, you'll be increasing the ammount of your coin but also risk loosing your position, as you can't know if it will ever come back below your sale level...
the trick maybe in doing a few quick profits, but always leaving a stash of the coin for holding.... this way you reduce the risk and at the same time increase your coin.
actually taking profits would be loosing money in a few months  Wink
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: May 10, 2019, 06:43:17 AM
gambling addition is a very serious thing... people can't stop because they are always hopping for their luck to change on the next game, so some times, the more they loose, more they want to play because the next run will surely be the lucky one...
Can't fully understand it either because I feel that these reasons can't be all there is to it... probably only a true gambles can answer this... Undecided
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Does ICO and bounty die? on: May 10, 2019, 06:40:06 AM
those types of bounties that you mention will die for sure... you should choose less bounties and take the time to check out the projects and improve the quality of your work.
one thing is certain, most good projects have already seen that the majority of bounty hunters has little to no effect in promotion, mainly because they do a bunch of projects at the same time and the quality of their work is very poor... so I expect that things will become more difficult ...
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of these hacks? on: May 09, 2019, 08:54:38 PM
well, we can surely say that they are not stupid, and we can also see that they are over confident.
The point is that no security system is 100% safe, or else people wouldn't be able to hack FBI, NSA, etc... it is only a matter of the right people with the right equipment and they can do it...
And another point is that they are returning the funds to the affected users, so in the end this could also work as a form of advertisement... nothing is 100% safe but on Binance they cover your back... Wink
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to ICO if....... on: May 09, 2019, 08:50:04 PM
Well, projects that had an ICO and have sold off their eth reserves to face the bear period will be in even worse condition... BTC falling to 1000usd would definitely speed things up and cut the bad weeds in one strike...
as for good projects, not meaning "good projects", but really solid teams with structured plans and company and a working product... those can have an ICO/IEO/STO/ADO/KLO, whatever at any time and they always secure their funding
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOES IEO PROTECT BOUNTY HUNTERS ? on: May 09, 2019, 08:44:29 PM
At this time, there are bounties for IEO promotion and they seem to present less risk than the usual ICO ones, nevertheless I think this will be temporary, as at first we have IEO's being screened by the exchange team, and with guaranteed listing, but then some IEOs are already happening with no listing, and with so many exchanges popping everywhere, the IEOs will only work as a temporary patch.
There are not many projects with no ICO and a bounty, but there are some around.... and some already listed...
but it takes work!
430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market is back? on: May 09, 2019, 08:39:31 PM
The cryptocurrency sphere has seen its most sudden growth just in 2017, it's too soon to expect a new explosive growth of the crypto market, so now slow but steady growth is not bad.
The growth is natural so it's better than the hype of 2017, much better if this will continue as it is and not just to relied with hyped and after that will fall too deep, bull this time will achieved greater than before and will be backing by those supporters who's waiting for the bull to be really stronger.

totally agreed! natural growth makes a strong base, that doesn't fall down so easily...
A new dynamic seems to have arrived, and things are moving, but I think that cryptospace will be accumulating power during this year for an explosion on the next... so it will be a good year compared to 2018, but not the bull run year Wink
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are ICOs really dead? on: May 08, 2019, 09:51:53 PM
If they are not dead, they will soon die... all reports are pointing for a brutal scam/failure rate, higher than 80-90%...
so, with so many new projects launching that offer a ready product and don't ask for money in advance, why any serious investor wouls risk his money in something with such high risk when you have other similar profitable options with much less risk?
only a matter of common sense
cheers
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought some crypto on: May 08, 2019, 09:47:41 PM
by now you know about the binance hack, so nothing further needs to be said about that... no exchange is 100% safe... a fact
also to be noted that on centralized exchanges you don't hold your private keys, so anything can happen, your funds are in fact on their custody... just a few weeks ago bittrex blocked my funds and demanded that I go through KYC, I had something like equivalent to 0,1btc and couldn't say no... but the point is that I would not be able to withdraw these funds without sending them all the pictures they require ... a good example
cheers
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you like to see Bitcoin accepted? on: May 08, 2019, 09:38:44 PM
I think that Amazon or E-bay could be a total game changer for any crypto...
I suspect that it wont be long until we have BTC accepted everywhere  Wink at the rate things are going I feel that 2020 will be a turning year!
cheers
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Right or wrong path? on: May 08, 2019, 09:34:24 PM
at this point bounties are as reliable as ICOs, so you need to choose your bounty/campaigns well. I think that it is possible for any crypto enthusiast with no money to start by doing bounties, but you need to do less bounties but quality bounties. At the beginning will be harder, but if you don't give up yu have good chances...
good luck
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Putting idle money to work... Free Electricity- What GPU Mining Rigs to build? on: May 07, 2019, 05:26:30 PM
I would definitely go for nvidea, maybe 1080 ti, but would have to check the price vs profitabilty (since power is free)
In my oppinion AMD is not so flexible and usually harder to tune and more "sensible"
Mixing cards is the first step for problems, even with different cards placed on different rigs, it will not be easy to manage...
You need to keep things as simple as possible and have a few spare risers as these brake often...
good luck!
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what to mine with rx470 4gb on: May 07, 2019, 05:06:01 PM
I would search and try to find new promising projects... lately there are a lot of POW projects launching and some are very promising, we need to remember that crypto is always evolving... but it takes hard work!
A friend of mine has a 1050ti rig and is obtaining nice results, mining at the beginning, when the diffilcuty is low and accumulating for later sale
Search around and give it a shot, don't mind those that are always fudding so that they can keep diff. low... and mining ETH is of course not profitable with that GPU (if paying for electricity)
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: May 07, 2019, 05:01:09 PM
POS is definitely evolving and has some clear advantages in relation to POW, nevertheless it also have cons...
For me the major downsides of POS are the fact that POS can easily convert into an oligarchy, and that the investment has almost no commitment as you can sell your coins at any moment and just forget about it... on POW you have a structure, hardware... so the network will have a different value...
Anyway, I think the future will reside on hydryb systems that include these two... or maybe on a different protocol, from the new ones under testing...
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Have more coins in your portfolio in a short term on: May 07, 2019, 04:52:44 PM
First of all congrats for your post, people usually just go around and say that mining is not profitable anymore, or that the only option are ASICs... some of them trully believe in this, others are just being selfish trying to keep difficulty low...
It is a fact that one of the tricks for a successfull mining operationg involves a lot of work and to be on top of things constantly... and as a consequence you find worthwhile projects that are just newborns with almost zero difficulty
