1  Other / Beginners & Help / How to keep account secure, is there 2-step verification for forum accounts? on: January 20, 2023, 01:43:15 AM
What's the best way to keep our accounts secure. I had this issue few years ago when someone logged into my account and scammed someone. This happened at night and in the morning when I saw emails about some transaction, I logged in right away and changed the password. There must be a simple way to secure account?

Want to get rid of some books. Some are new, some like-new, some very-good condition. One can make $4 to $15 even with FBA.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's going on with LTC ! on: April 10, 2021, 11:58:30 PM
I have not heard anything new with LTC. It seems to be going up recently and is looking good for a run up at this point. I would love to hear any new developments and why people still believe in LTC in today's market.
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cannot withdraw or trade inside Binance.com in the US on: February 21, 2021, 03:04:27 AM
Binance started to restrict the US customers in 2020 itself and they announced the restriction in 2019 so every customer may be aware of this. If Binance wants you can recover your funds from Binance but you should complete your KYC as mentioned above and it will be a time-consuming process. ALready someone said that he can't recover funds for being US resident but its your turn to ask the support for further details.
I did register and entered my SSN and got verified instantly. binance.us say they can't help, and now I have asked binance.com. Doesn't look very good so far. I don't understand there might be so many people like me who were inactive or the email went into spam and they didn't know what was happening. Luckily I had a smaller amount.
Few weeks ago, I was able to recover large amounts from localbitcoins. They were fast and very helpful.

For the time being you can reach their support to recover your account and send your assets to their US-based exchange, well, KYC is required to all US users afaik.
Great. will see if that works.

I did not see any email from Binance in 2020. I have some funds in Binance now but it seems I cannot withdraw them anymore. How do I make it work ?
And, not so important question, but, why is Binance blocked in the US now!

This is the msg I see . .

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: List undervalued tokens or coins to load on: February 18, 2021, 01:12:19 AM
buy Tezoz, Tron and Qtum, ..... XTZ, , #DYOR
Thanks. So, where do you all store these smaller coins or tokens. You buy them on exchanges and keep in your own wallets?
I had many BTC and countless other smaller coins that I have lost in the last 5-6 years because I kept in these exchanges, starting from mtgox, btc-e, cryptsy, and others Roll Eyes.

Also, any interesting tokens to keep an eye on, ones that may be quiet at the moment but has potential?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: List undervalued tokens or coins to load on: February 17, 2021, 10:11:43 PM
If you are looking for undervalued tokens I recommend these two LIT, IDENA.
and how do you guys store these smaller coins? as we all know most exchanges are not safe. I have lost over 15 BTC in various exchanges or trading platforms Roll Eyes

so, its better to convert your bitcoin to TOP altcoins thats still quiet at this moment, maybe if you believe with privacy coins you can drop your money there
but of course if you already do your research my friend
can you give some examples.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / List undervalued tokens or coins to load on: February 17, 2021, 07:19:00 PM
I plan on converting some of my BTC to smaller coins or tokens.
I have converted some to LTC when around $175, but looking to diversify further. been a little out of touch last few years, and willing to spend some time researching some coins/tokens now.
Thanks
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins on: February 12, 2021, 09:56:25 PM
If your localbitcoins account is still active, then either withdraw your bitcoin or sell it for your chosen fiat method now before your account status is changed. The messages I have seen say accounts will be closed on February 9th, so you should have plenty of time to withdraw your coins to your own wallet.
Local bitcoins staff was able to help. I took my coins out. Thanks
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins account verification on: February 12, 2021, 09:53:37 PM
Thanks for all your comments. Was able to recover my BTC. I have not been active in the crypto world anymore.

Also, not active here either. Reason why I got this SCAM feedback on the account after it was hacked, which I recovered. What's a good way to secure your bitcointalk account? I see there's no 2-factor security here.
15  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins account verification on: February 12, 2021, 09:47:54 PM
LBC accounts in some US states will not be allowed to operate it seems. Luckily I was able to withdraw my funds, didn't realize it was a decent amount, over 25k. Had been there for 5+ years and I thought it was a small amount. Grin
16  Economy / Exchanges / Localbitcoins account verification on: January 29, 2021, 07:40:35 AM
I see that localbitcoin accounts will be closed in some states in the US. I never verified my account earlier as I had only a small amount of BTC in there. my Last transaction was in 2017.

Now when i go to verify my account, my account says "Verification is not allowed. Contact customer support for more information. ".

Who can help!
