Also, that page is out of date and only includes self-reported orders.

I can't access Reddit from work, but the Business Insider article certainly didn't say anything about it not surviving the year...

I see. Perhaps they will make changes if there are enough people that feel that way.
The main showstopper for me is just that it's not backwards compatible. I just bought all my 360 stuff within the last 6 months.

How are you supposed to use services like BitInstant, anyway? If you try to send Bitcoins to a Paypal or bank account (ACH) they ask for amount in USD. That makes no sense...
Our system internally only deals with USD, the new bitcoin payment method simply sends BTC to a partner who sells it on our behalf for X amount of USD. So I just put in the USD amount I think my BTC is worth? Where do I put in the actual number of BTC?

I actually bought the 360 for the Kinect, so I always play with a camera connected already... The difference is the 360 doesn't imply that the camera is always active. You can tell by whether or not the red light is on. And it also doesn't require you to be online to play single-player games. This is where the privacy concerns come from. It does require you to be online the first time you play a game though (and regularly thereafter). Also, I remember seeing a clarification that the One will act the same way with single player games. Most of the games I play on my PC these days also require me to be online - even for single player (via Steam, Origin, or whatever). Not sure what the difference is?

Looks interesting. Higher ultimate coin count and new enough to be ASIC resistant. If it catches on, it could be really good, but it's got some tough competition in litecoin.
It's not the age that matters, it's the algorithm. ASICs can't do scrypt.

mine LTC and dont convert to fiat...convert to BTC.
The exchange rate between LTC and BTC is such that it doesn't really matter which one you mine for...

"2.5 Watts USB Miner Outperforming Your Graphics Card. No Pre-Order. Get Them Now!"
No it does not
Considering resale/reuse value of a video card, and hash/$ ratio erupters suck at that price. Electricity cost gains do not cover that gap.
Yeah, I saw the same ad and was thinking the same thing. For the same price I can get double the hashrate...

Is that a custom heatsink? I don't think I've ever seen such a small one!
I guess you haven't looked at many motherboards?

It's not exactly nitpicking when the guy lied about everything. The upside is that people are a little more worried about their privacy, and maybe there will be some limits put on what the government can do before they go as far as to actually do what Snowden was saying.

I've been selling web hosting for close to 18 years, and would be happy to accept bitcoin payments.
Each account comes with its own cPanel with PHP support and unlimited domains, e-mail addresses, and MySQL databases. Prices start at .5 BTC per year for 5 GB of space and up to 50 GB of bandwidth, paid in advance. I can create a custom package for you, depending on your needs.
PM me for more info.

Keep in mind that it's harder to spend bitcoins when you've received them in very small amounts.

Ummm, the facts are no-one can know the facts about these programs because they have placed themselves "legally" above scrutiny. The tech giants are legally bound to lie about any involvement so you cannot trust them and the secret court rulings on who does what are ... well secrets. The web of deceit is deep and tangled ... believe whatever 'facts' you like I guess. NSA is not above telling lies We do know that Snowden at least lied about himself. That should say a lot about the rest of it. Does the NSA always tell the truth? If, as you say in your post, that Snowden lied, that illustrates the fact that NSA/CIA agents lie and are not to be trusted. He wasn't even an agent. Just a contractor - and only for 3 months.
