i'll check your #BismuthTournament lately, now i see funny thing

something like meaningful
i have been carrying the idea for a long time to arrange a contest for the most interesting address (or txid) generated by the network itself (nevermind which coin)
i see you are very creative band - that is why i give you this idea for your implementation
E.g. wallet with longest dictionary word?

Bismuth is a new blockchain protocol and a platform at the same time. It has an innovative approach to database scaling, introduces the concept of private contracts and limits the contract execution to users willing to participate, while keeping them publicly verifiable.

How can i autostart the miner with windows but sets a delay about 5mins after windows boot , i tried to make a batch file to load at startup then a timer in the batch starts the miner but it didn't the miner crashes
Anyone knows how to do it the right way?

timeout /t 300
What is the right start command you use after the timeout command , i used start "start batch path" but it crashes

I do it in this way. Here is the bat file that I just add to startup folder:

Code:
REM 1. allow 5 min for windows to settle
timeout /t 300

REM 2. send email notification to myself that miner restarted
powershell.exe -nonprofile -executionpolicy bypass -file C:\path_to_powershell_script.ps1
timeout /t 10

REM 3. load overclocks by OverdriveNtool
start cmd /k "cd C:\path_to_file_with_overclocks"
timeout /t 30

REM 4. start claymore
start cmd /k "cd C:\path_to_claymore_bat_file"

Hi BF,
Your roadmap indicates your plans to focus on wallets in H2 2019. Have you considered integration with ledger wallet? They now allow 3rd party apps...

I see where is your problem
if the cards are modded you have to use the blockchain driver, not the last one

That's just a total BS - stop trolling the guy. Don't use blockchain driver - it's buggy. Use one of the recent drivers (it's never a good idea to use THE most recent one).

But that's really funny that @Hoemas has RX570 and gpu-z shows RX 580. Was it the same before modding bios and patching? I wonder if it's the driver patcher glitch Huh Two things I could think of regarding low hash rate (given that compute mode is "on"): 1. Not enough power, 2. you screwed up during bios mod. Flash the original bios back and start from there.... see if the cards behave as they should

I'm not trolling here anyone...
is how I am setting up my GPUs - AMD ofcourse

If they are bios modded (pached and so on) I am using the blockchain driver
If they are stock bios, than through the AMD global settings I put them one by one in the "compute mode" and use the last stable driver

and have no problem at all

maybe can be a virtual memory issue, this could be also a questionmark

In this case you are doing it wrong and teaching others to do it wrong. Also you clearly state "you have to use the blockchain driver". No you don't have to.

Are you going to translate the whole thread or you just started a new thread for Russian speaking community?
So far i just started topic with first page info and reserved 1 post. Unfortunately i don't think that translating the entire official thread worth it.
My plans for next week: gather essential information about Bismuth into one post and translate it into Russian (we can call it: Simple words about Bismuth). I dont want to delve deeply into technical details but want to tell about main features, since I believe that the overwhelming majority of Russian IT and fintech specialists understands English. But ordinary users or novice investors may be interested in the state of affairs. For the rest part of community, my thread will be more like a reminder that the project is alive and you can read the official thread for all details. Or have some chat about it in my thread Cheesy.
After this is done, I assume, as far as possible and if my plans do not change, to report new info from the official topic about bismuth.

Is it really worth it? Just see what google translate can do...:
I believe it's a pretty accurate translation of your post Smiley

I took the liberty of doing the free translation of an ann for a Russian-speaking branch.Bismuth.Hope this is not prohibited. I liked your idea. Perhaps I will try a little to popularize the projext in the Russian-language locale.
I want to note that you have some errors in the design of the first page, regarding links to Pools. They can, as an option, be corrected by changing the code this way (slightly correct the location of "[/url]" in the lines):
Code:
[size=13pt][color=#1E90FF]◉  [u][b]Mining Pools & Mining Calculator[/b][/u][/color][/size]

EWBF, any chance to get error log file, to determine which GPU ID caused crash of program? And as i remember on 0.3.5b was watchdog sentinel? If some gpu cause crash miner restart themself?

Lol... 0.3.5b never existed.. At some point there was a trolling post advertising and offering download of 0.3.5b, but was quickly marked as a boobie trap and removed

Actually you can still find it on some Russian forums: http://forum.bitcoinfo.ru/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=41786

that'd also explain why we don't have a public miner update for months now
Why do you need a new version? RX480/580 were hashing at 31MH/s 6/12/18 months ago. Dozens of versions of claymore have been released since then. They still hash at 31MH/s. As for me he releases new versions too often.

good..next time don't limit yourself with posting log for 2 h only...post your logs for the last month or two...so that it takes several pages of the thread

Why is afterburner shit? give reasons for your statement.
Is personal experience and experience of many others shared on different forums good enough reason?

Flash the best settings is the only right way.
It's actually the worst thing you can do with your cards. And I guess you will ask for a reason: different algos require different clocks and even for the same algo different miners handle clocks differently.

unfortunately this is just a mirage.

ah-h-h-h...You just couldn't sweeten the pill in these difficult for miners times, could you?

try BIS (bismuth) - and than send me a little tnx  Wink

I'm sorry for off-topic...
Can you give a little more information? Pool? miner? hashrate with 1070, 1080? Thanks

Yeah, there is no need to copy-paste their whole bitcointalk thread. I'm aware of it. I'm interested in first-hands experience of using bismuth pools and miners, as I read some of them are quite unstable and there is a significant discrepancy in reported hashrates: from 1200 to 1700 for a 1080ti.

Hi,
Sorry if the problem has already been solved, I did not read the entire thread.

I am willing to give this miner a try but it draws far more power than claymore for a similar or little higher hashrate.

I use it with win10 with 6 RX580.
With claymore (11.9), 186Mh/s @ 830W
With Phoenix (3.5d), 187Mh/s @ 1150W!
I tried to use the same values for clocks and voltages (which are set in config.txt) or to let it blank without any effect.
What am I doing wrong?

Install latest version of AMD drivers then switch to compute mode.
So you assume that he got 187 Mh/s from 6xRX580 with compute mode off?  Shocked
I think noobs account should not be allowed to give advice, only ask...

to answer OP: looks like clock and/or voltages are not properly applied, because power draw for phoenix is about the same as for claymore. And with that I refer you to  posts on this and previous page: "ALWAYS use 3rd party soft to control clocks, power and fans: OverdriveNtool for red and nvidiaInspector for green; don't use AB - it's shit. Don't use miners for controls."
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.6 on: October 07, 2018, 11:43:12 AM
Which algo should I select for the old equihash(hush, kmd, zcl, zec)? Sorry for the stupid question but I can't find the info

No the algo you need for Hush, zec, and so on here. Use an old version EWBF miner before 0.5.

Wrong. There is no version of "EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner" that has old equihash algo. You have to use "EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner".

i'm afraid of heat  Roll Eyes
I mean, why don't you set the fan speed to fixed 90/100%?
it won't hurt anything and surely will help to cool memory and VRM chips.

surely it will hurt fans' bearings
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.6 on: October 03, 2018, 08:39:23 AM
Aw man you guys doing fee 0 really don't understand it. If we give EWBF_ his very well-earned fee, we miners also will earn MORE money in the end. As you see with going from v0.5 to v0.6 EWBF_ can do increases in hashrates about 10-15%. So we all will earn 10-15% more every time he makes improvements. So from this 10-15% MORE we just need to give him 2%. So we still have 8% to 13% MORE money in the end from now on till forever. With fee it's a win/win for both, everybody earns. Give 2% now for getting 8 - 13% more tomorrow. Don't give 2% now, there will be no tomorrow. Because that's the money he needs to do this job after all - but he only can do this work in the long run if he has the time for it and perhaps can live of that. So if we don't give him his fee, he is forced to stop making improvements because he will have no time, forced to do other jobs to earn his money for paying his bills. So you guys doing fee 0 are only harming yourselves because it's you by yourself, that will lose money at the end with your avarice. Don't you get that?
It's better for you to go back to school. You would have earned 10-15% more only if you and only you would have mined with 0.6 while everybody were mining with 0.5.
It's actually not the biggest blunder in his message: If your income increases on 10% and you donate EWBF 2% => your profit still increases on 10% relative to previous profit, not 8% as OP claimed. Consider you are making $100 and donating 2% => your profit is 98. Now with a new version of the miner you would make $110 and donate 2%. Your profit will increase 10%.
But even ignoring the math, the base argument is wrong. If everyone mines with the same miner - it doesn't matter what the performance of the miner is. The better the performance => the larger net difficulty. Your income is the same at the end of the day. As long as performance of the miner is better than one of the competitors, EWBF can stop development. That's what he did with his older miner and everyone was happy for over 18 months (I was Smiley).
