441  Bitcoin / Hardware / HashFast thread derailment part 3 on: December 24, 2013, 06:33:36 PM
I stand corrected on that point....of course you we're more then  1 year late...and and basically told everyone  "2 more months" for that period of time...big whoop KNC gave me my unit oct 15th. and from the timeline you mention it was to be 250gh for the same price..and I got 555gh for the same price  (1st units we're 4wks late from my lot from your above calculations).....you told me in chat no later then AUG for my april jally ..I got it on Oct 31st Halloween......no option for refund after may 30th or so....yeah KNC is the villain here by being late ..right!

You didn't answer the question... does it hurt being wrong all the time?

BFL was 6 months late, not 1 year, unless the calendar has changed in the past 2000  years or so?  November - April = 6 months, not 12 months.  Did you add a few extra months in there to make yourself feel better?

Since Josh likes to pick and choose what he quotes, he should also quote the 250GH Jupiters that they said back then as well, only to be ~500GH in October and now closer to ~650GH.

Since you have a selective memory:  BFL promised hashrate 40 GH/s Single. BFL delivered hashrate: 60 GH/s single. And now closer to 70 GH/s.

Quote
Looks like someone thought he was clever.

Sure does.

Trying to figure out what your 6 months late ~50% increased hashrate has to do with my selective memory and more so what it is supposed to prove against a 34 to 15 Day Late ~120% increase.

Also if you have anything else you'd like debunked please PM me as you are taking this hashfast thread off topic.

With regards to ActM, I've been proven right time and time again

How is the Labcoin to ActM flipping business going Mr Always Right!

It's time for you to go back on that long break you were on. Don't come back here and try to pull your old crap about understanding anything to do with any of these businesses.

In other news I'll be visiting Ken in less than 25 Days, Happy Holidays.

Great news!

Pack warm it's freezing up where he is

Ya 7 Degrees F today. Hopefully the cold front passes.

..Random nonsense no one really cares about....

I have a shoulder you can cry on or a warm embracing hug with a pat on the back saying good job. Whichever you came on here looking for I got you covered! Happy Holidays!

Do you just like not read the first post of KNCminer or are you just a troll and/or liar?

Here, let me quote the relevent part for you (bolded for your pleasure):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg1771040#msg1771040

Quote
We will in the upcoming weeks opening our order book to allow the purchase of our first set of ASIC miners. They are in the early stages of development now and will be ready in the summer of 2013 (yes in just a few months)

KNC was months late.  Suck it.

By meteorological record-keeping, summer ended on Aug. 31.
By astronomical definition, summer didn't end until the autumnal equinox, which occurred on Sept. 22 in 2013.

I wouldn't call a maximum of 34 Days (using the meteorological date) "months"

If we use the astronomical definition then they were only late by 15 days on their very first deadline (Which they changed not too long after to September), not bad especially when comparing to BFL but then again BFL makes HashFast look good still.

Since Josh likes to pick and choose what he quotes, he should also quote the 250GH Jupiters that they said back then as well, only to be ~500GH in October and now closer to ~650GH.

Looks like someone thought he was clever.

Josh is probably taking a % of HF profits due to it's suggestions to john. So there is really no point in asking him it's opinion on HF. I will always remember how sure he was that KNC was gonna be late when we meet, it must have been because he knew that KNC was legit.

KNC was late.  They promised summer delivery and didn't deliver until, what... October?

They promised "September" delivery and didn't start delivering until October 4th.

Shouldn't you be posting about more delays for the Monarchs on the BFL Forums?

Ironic how you would come on their thread riddled with sympathy.

Do you hear me complaining about Labcoin? No you don't, which should tell you something.

Yes it tells us you got burned bad,

Now please continue to post like anyone that knows your history cares if you are right or wrong. You are just another chump on the forums that gambled away all his money and now has to fall back on being "right or wrong". I let the amount of money that has been made speak for itself.

448  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 23, 2013, 03:13:15 PM
Unfortunately it looks like HashFast is going to try to do everything in its power to avoid having to refund Batch 1 by shipping at the last possible moment before their "Deadline".

They should just issue Batch 1 refunds, ship batch 2. Give Batch 1 coupons to use to try and get "in line" again for whatever batch they are on (Even though I doubt people would even do that considering the types of individuals they have employed/defend on this forum).

Sadly the above is how businesses should be ran and instead they are ran with the full knowledge that only a handful of people will end up taking them to court and at the point they will just pay them off and have made a hefty profit.

HashFast initially seemed like a great company that was going to show the bitcoin space how businesses should operate, but it looks like that won't be the case.

[Paraphrased]:
I'm a deeply unhappy individual who believes the world owes me because I'm an entitled brat...

Would you please explain exactly what the root of your discontent with KnC is for us? It's obvious you feel jaded somehow and are lashing out (rather amusingly if I may add), but why? From what I can tell, you're doing more harm to your character than KnC's. I don't think anyone is going to argue that KnC is the best company ever, but they sure are a breath of fresh air in comparison to the previous ASIC companies. Why must you attack every perceived shortcoming possible? What is your incentive?

Come on man, isn't it amusing enough just to watch him cry, moan, and harass KnC. Why do you want to try and get him and the rest of his followers to be logical? Trying to ruin the fun for the rest of us it seems!
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 20, 2013, 09:12:39 PM

How long do you think it takes?

It takes around ~8 weeks for chips to be produced from the wafers.

Answer here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg4055265#msg4055265

Also, how many weeks do you count between now and mid February ? Smiley

Do you not think they called the foundry to place a whopping order as soon as they knew their chips were working? That was 10 weeks ago.

Maybe you thought that order was the November Batch. I believe the November batch was in their initial wafer order.
451  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Scam List on: December 20, 2013, 08:11:28 PM
I would be extremely interested in any evidence you have of "VMC is paying people with promises of discounts and early delivery for defending them".
I should have hyperlinked, but that search button is sooo far away.  Here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg3893935#msg3893935

If there is any please bring it forward. Right now it seems to be people bringing up old issues that have
The fact that their videos/images were photographed in Bulgaria, along with their bank wire transfer info was very much news to me, and added to my less substantial concerns. But I don't follow very closely. If thats all been neatly explained, please toss over a link.

Cheers.

You have two companies mixed up,

That is AMT who I believe only ships Bitfury gear on boards they designed themselves.

VMC/AMC/ActM is ActiveMining https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=297503.0

Glad we cleared this up!
452  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Scam List on: December 20, 2013, 07:38:06 PM
After checking over the VMC topic, it seems you are quick to defend VMC. Sounds a lot like wishful thinking to me. That immediately makes me suspicious of you as well. Anyone can lie on the net, and until I see physical proof of work/claims, along with some legitimate customer feedback, I shall not believe.
VMC is paying people with promises of discounts and early delivery for defending them, not to mention the large number of "share holders" who have a direct interest in propping up perception of its legitimacy (and I suppose potential shareholders who believe its legit but want other people to not believe it's legit). Makes the subject very hard to discuss.

From what I've seen there is a fair amount of relatively concrete evidence that supports concern (including the offer for discounts to shill) and at this point people who jump on people pointing to the evidence ... uh. don't look very good.

I would be extremely interested in any evidence you have of "VMC is paying people with promises of discounts and early delivery for defending them".

I'm fairly good at keeping up with ActM and not once have I seen this take place.

You also mention "at this point people who jump on people pointing to the evidence". Again I would be very interested in your evidence as it would help all of the shareholders out.

I'm not defending ActM from ACTUAL facts/evidence. If there is any please bring it forward. Right now it seems to be people bringing up old issues that have already been corrected and also a lot of opinions which contrary to popular belief on this forum are not facts.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 20, 2013, 07:34:23 PM
Why are people mentioning making wafers and stuff regarding the Jupiter sales? They said they would ship from stock.

ANd they may, but you cant ship from stock without first producing the machines and chips. Chip production simply takes a long time, so the question is: do KnCalready have a stockpile of unused chips (or wafers) or did they already place the order with the fab? If the question is no to both, then it seems unlikely these machines will be in stock before mid February. If they do have a stock, that seems pretty wasteful. If they have placed the order some weeks ago, then the decision,  which some claim hadnt been taken yet, has already been taken and its only a question of when they will ship those in miners.

How long do you think it takes?

It takes around ~8 weeks for chips to be produced from the wafers. The first "Tape-Out" is the longest because they also have to make the masks but that is done now so it's relatively quick if they can find a quick place in line at the fab.

TSMC has stated they have ample room for more 28nm orders (http://finance.yahoo.com/news/tsmc-seen-28nm-utilization-drop-114049008.html)
I can't seem to find that exact article now but they are begging for more 28nm orders.
454  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Scam List on: December 20, 2013, 04:40:40 PM
This was probably the business that was in that building prior to VMC, has been discussed 6 months ago (You are a little late to the game) and people have visited to verify.
Forgive me for being new to the forums; I'm not married to it like some people. Simply trying to help the discussion, and stop the neanderthal-like assault on skeptics.

Just seems suspicious is all.

Please don't be so defensive. There's no need to be rude.

I'm not asking you to believe, this is a scam list thread and it is obviously not a scam (yet). It just seems like a little research would go a long way. All of the preliminary "Googling" has already been done just go find it. Hell there are even pictures of the building.

As far as "physical proof of merchandise" well we're all waiting for that. KnC didn't have "Proof" until the very end of the 6 month wait basically and turns out they were the most legit company of all.

Either way relax buddy.
455  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Scam List on: December 20, 2013, 04:00:58 PM
VirtualMiningCorp street address leads directly to 'Springfield Fight Club.' Calling the available number results in an answering machine that sounds pretty legit however. I did not pursue contacting a support rep as it's easy to set up an answering machine and lie over the phone. Whether this points to a scam or not is questionable, but the fact the address points to a fitness club is highly suspicious.

This was probably the business that was in that building prior to VMC, has been discussed 6 months ago (You are a little late to the game) and people have visited to verify.
456  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: December 20, 2013, 01:49:00 PM
i have 14 chilis and 10 of them have been running for weeks and weeks without problems. the other 4 are new. 1 of the new ones runs fine for about 1-2 minutes then starts showing an error messages then it goes sick. in the midst of starting and stopping bfgminer a million times while trying to get that one working 1 of the 10 that had been running fine stopped working and now it never shows up in bfgminer even after power cycling it and switching usb ports and switching power supplies.

What do the LED lights on the chili that has the issue look like.

Remember when you power cycle, etc.. you should wait until all of the LED lights on the chili stop blinking before starting the mining software. This can cause it to hang and not be found.

What error messages are you seeing with your other chili? Have you tried switching it to a different USB port/running it solo to see if it continues with those same issues?

Hopefully we can help you out!

Here we go again. The CEO is allowed to trade stock in his own company. It is not considered insider trading. It happens all the time. Many people watch when CEO's buy or sell stock as this could be an indication of where the stock price is heading. Nothing illegal about it.

yeah its highly regulated, large shareholders have to file certain SEC forms, and many executives can only trade in predefined intervals to avoid illegal insider trading scrutiny

You have an issue with unproven "insider trading" and tell us what regulated securities and the SEC make you do but have no issue that this is an unregulated security? Cart before the horse it seems.
458  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 20, 2013, 01:22:09 PM
Remember folks, if you hold shares in ActM and Ken gets prosecuted, we have 0.

Of course Crumbs wants Ken to fail, because then we all fail and he would have been right.

There is no "Remember Folks", 95% of the board has crumbs on ignore but you, stuartUK, and a few other seem to think he has any power over where this stock goes and continue to quote and converse with him.

I guess it doesn't really matter considering you have been told multiple times by various forum members to let crumbs have his tantrums as it will just end up getting deleted.

...complete and unmitigated disaster sound good ...

you know nothing and until you (we) do, you're blowing hot air and coming off as manipulative.

Unfortunately he is just another one of those guys that tries to say "I told you so" and then if things do turn up well he just leaves and never returns. Wasted air I suppose.

I wonder if BFL would be kind enough to put up some hashing power using ye olde Singles to make up for the massive delay?  Might be worth asking.

Just like they did last time?
