Already time for another Gp.
And this will be the last one of the season.

They will race in Abu-Dhabi

After Ferrari's performance last week, how do you think they'll look this week?  The track has a couple of long straights that Leclerc and Sainz could take advantage.  And there's the factor that Ferrari could be improving their car by a lot even compared to the start of the season even though it's late at the end of the season.  Could be good news for next season.

Sched for this coming F1 weekend.  It was a boring season but at least we had a few laughs.  Grin

^  He's already in physical therapy rn.  So it would take prolly 6 months for him to be fully ok and then finding a spot for him in the roster of events will prolly take a couple of months, fight camp would be around three months...  So I think around 1.5 years.  Lolol.  At the earliest maybe he'll be back by December next year?  And that's a maybe...

Anyway, here's a good one.  Lol.  These guys used to be best friends.  Not sure why Masvidal hates Covington now.

Early lines for Edwards vs Covington are 1.79 and 2.04 respectively.  :/  What do you guys think?

Any news from Layer Zero or from this supposed airdrop?  Seems like the interest for it has waned.  Lol.  Not one mention of it in my TL.  Cheesy  Airdrop hunters prolly have accepted that there isn't one happening this year or what?  And the longer the LZ devs wait, the narrower their window of opportunity gets.  As I said to a prior post, if they get the timing wrong like the Arbitrum devs did, they'll have an underperforming token.  And what's worse for ARB is there's a huge unlock on March 16, 2024 worth a tad over 1 billion USD at current price...  :/

That's gonna hurt the price big time.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Coin is Best for short term speculation on: November 22, 2023, 12:40:17 PM
Here's another coin that could be a nice hold short term:  WEB.  Grin

It's another one of those memecoins that's playing around the Elon Meta.  It's based on another AI project by Elon Musk.  The other one is called Grok, hence a memecoin called GROK was made and mooned more than 50x since listing.  WEB might be the next one in line to moon.  Bottom's already in tho, but as a momentum play, it still looks good.

Check out the 4h chart.  It's breaking out for sure.

You know, on one hand Aspinal really deserves to a fight against Jones, or just be counted as a division champ. On the other, people still consider that he must prove something, still needs that "just one more fight to prove that he could face champion". Some say that he should have a rematch against Blaydes, but I think that right now, Blaydes must earn a chance to have a fight against Aspinal. Because Aspinal is a "champion" now, but Blaydes has lost his previous fight.

Yup, there are still a lot of question marks on Aspinall as we've not seen much of him in the cage cos he's finished all his opponents in less that three rounds or so.  Kindly check if I'm wrong but on the top of my head, I don't remember anybody really testing him.  He got a bit tired vs Arlovski but then finished him early at R2 with a rear naked choke.

Exactly. If we ask some random UFC fan who has Aspinall beaten, he would hardly name any 3 fighters, and they probably won be from top5 heavyweights. But that is also a curse of current heavyweight division in general. Everyone knows Jones and Ngannou and connect them with UFC heavyweights. But Ngannou is no longer in UFC and Jones is not much of a fighter (more like a troublemaker). Who else we have? Miocic is old. Pavlovich recently lost to Aspinall. For majority, everyone else are decent, good, average. Or lets say victory over them wont impress much.

I think Jones still has 'it' as a fighter.  I kinda had my doubts before Gane, but after Gane he showed that he's still at the top of his game.  And Gane is one of the best MMA heavy weights in the world.  Nobody expected Jones to finish him that fast.

And we've already seen Jones at his worst and still managed to win.  If he wins vs Aspinall then there's only one fight to make for Jones...  A match up vs Ngannou.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: November 21, 2023, 12:43:41 PM
Sad what happened with you. Next time more careful about wallet phase but you also earn good amount from airdrop and thats huge. Arb Concept suppose to be quite good and it still has a lot of space to raise up. I found this coin potential among new launched coins and So you can still buy this coin,  1$ seems good to buy. But i suggest not to investment full capital. Keep some for your need as you already mentioned you took loan for need of money
Borrowing to invest in crypto? Really stupid because this business is an uncertain success. If your investment is not for the best time then you can lose big money and even have to sell other assets to pay off your loan. arb is almost the best token to invest but I want to invest with my own deposit and not resort to any kind of loan. Moreover arb is best list token so your money will be safe and you can get good profit in bull market.

Wtf you talking about?  A lot of people 'borrow' to trade crypto everyday.  You can do it right now in an exchange that has a perps market and margin trading...  It's called trading on leverage.  :/

Anyway about ARB going below 1 USD, I think it could happen again when the huge token unlock starts on March 16 next year.  And it is yuuuge.  Lol.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: November 21, 2023, 12:37:30 PM

It is really the case for Manchester City. I agree with your opinion. When they face a fearless and capable team they are getting much bigger issues about winning the match. We have seen many examples of it including this one. To be honest Chelsea haven't looked that capable generally until this match. Because they were clearly having scoring issues mostly.

However we watched 4 goals from them once again this time against Manchester City with 11 players.  Grin  Can these results be a sign for Chelsea to have started the recovery phase? I really don't know. We need to see more like this to be confident of something about Chelsea.

It's certainly an interesting observation that Manchester City seems to struggle more against fearless and capable opponents. Chelsea's recent performances against Crystal Palace and Manchester City suggest that they might be on the path to recovery. The team has shown resilience, determination, and an improved attacking threat, which could be the foundation for them to keep gaining positive trend in the league.

They need to maintain consistency and demonstrate their ability to consistently perform at a high level against a variety of opponents  to confirm that Chelsea is truly on the uptrend. If Chelsea can build on their recent positive displays and find solutions to their remaining challenges, they have the potential to challenge for top 4 in the Premier League this season. Their upcoming matches will provide further insights into their true character and whether they have indeed embarked on a sustained recovery phase.

Next match for Chelsea could be another good one against Newcastle away.  Newcastle hasn't lost at home except vs Liverpool earlier in the season, conceding a couple of goals.  But take not that they conceded only three goals in 6 home matches and making 14 goals for themselves.

On the other hand, Chelsea has scored at least two goals in 5 of their last 6 matches so that's gonna make it really interesting for sure.  Wink

Early finishes usually means suspect cardio at later rounds.  :/

But then again all those early finishes could mean that those opponents were not in his level.  So dunno...
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: November 20, 2023, 12:49:53 PM
In some ways it is a welcomed break for the player to get away from the Premier League and play for the countries instead. The pressure of playing week in week out in the most exciting and competitive football league in the world cannot be overlooked. Some players will return with injuries or fatigue but others will be rejuvenated feeling fresh. I am looking forward to the games next weekend.

Why do you think Southgate has decided to omit Sterling from the England squad? He is in excellent form when playing for Chelsea. Sterling deserves to go to Euro 2024.

Rashford should not be playing for England because his form for Manchester United and England is simply not good enough. Also Henderson, how is he still part of the England squad?

I was about to make a post saying how I'm excited for the next fixtures thinking it was gonna be this weekend.  :/  Due to them being after the international break, some of them could become a bit more unpredictable.  And I hope nobody gets injured or gets a knock or something.

Yeah but it sucks for the club if the player gets back injured and unable to play for a couple of weeks or more.  And I'm not really a fan of international football but I do enjoy the World Cup and the Euros.  But mostly it's just the EPL for me and some UCL.

But yeah...  And I don't if it's just me but don't you guys get the feeling that most matches are usually low scoring after the players have returned from international break?

Oh...  I won at Belgium GP?  Is that in Superbru or the prediction contests in Games and Rounds?  I don't seem to remember winning or somebody telling me that I won.  Cheesy Cheesy  Still good to know tho.  I should've put more effort in this pool tbh.  It's just the paticipants are really good and it made me lose hope after 5 races or so.

Well, next event is in two weeks. Dont know how we gonna kill that time quick Cheesy But it promised to be much better than Allen vs Craig. At least 4 fights in main event card looks to be exciting. Hey tokeweed, are you ready to make fight card post or is lazy today like me? Cheesy

P.S. Btw, what do you guys do during these long pauses between events? Watch other promotions or power slap?

I very may well just do it...  If I'm not lazy.  Lol.  And if there aren't any events during a weekend I usually watch fight replays at YT or MMACore and wherever I could find them.  I also watch the EPL which I used be a huge fan of.  I still am but I haven't been watching it as much as I used to.  And there's also F1.  But my interest has been waning as of late too tbh.

Here's a fight reply that was uploaded in the UFC's Brazilian recently.  What a banger.

Didn't continue watching the race after the first 5 laps when Verstappen pushed Leclerc off the track, went off the track himself and he didn't give the position back to Leclerc.  If Verstappen tried pulling off a move like that against Hamilton pretty sure they would've crashed and be off the race as Hamilton wouldn't take any shenanigans from Verstappen.  Lmao.

These guys need to toughen up if they want to go toe to toe vs Verstappen imho.  Hamilton showed how it can be done.  And it's gonna be more entertaining for the fans.  Grin

Am I in profit?  From sports betting?  Yup, of course I'm not!  Lolol.  But I had that one year of having a good run at betting the EPL.  It was during 2017...  I thought I could do it as a side gig for extra cash but then the next couple of years I proceeded in giving back the books the money that I've won.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  So no.  Don't try to make sports betting as a form of 'work' kids.

It's fun tho cos it makes watching the matches more exciting.

^  It was decent for just a fight night event in the Apex...  9 finishes out of 14 match ups.  I'd say it delivered and the results are a lot better than many of the past events this year.

Anyway here are the results.  I think 155 and 170 should be on the look out for this guy Orolbai.  I was surprised he beat up Uros Medic the way he did on short notice...  Pure dominance.

Brendan Allen def Paul Craig  Submission R3
Michael Morales def Jake Matthews  UD
Chase Hooper def Jordan Leavitt Submission R1
Payton Talbott def Nick Aguirre  Submission R3
Amanda Ribas def Luana Pinheiro  TKO R3
Myktybek Orolbai def Uros Medic  Submission R2

^  You mean overall this whole season he's been disappointing...  I think the last race was his highlight for the whole season.  Lol.  But yeah, the question is if he could still redeem himself next season as Red Bull could have already earmarked a guy to replace him after his contract with the team ends.  As for who the replacement is, dunno...  But I'm hoping it's Daniel Ricciardo.  On his good days, he's way better than Perez imho.

Anyway, from a betting perspective...  Nada.  Verstappen at 1.29.  Not much meat on the bone imho.  But it could be a volatile race as this setmof drivers haven't raced in Vegas before.

What car is fastest on the straights?

You even ask what car is the fastest in straights? It is the Redbull in normal conditions and we have seen that in Monza it was Ferrari as they had setup the car with a lot of top speed,in Vegas though it would be a wrong thing to do as beside the straights there are also different difficult curves here.

I think Verstappen at 1.29 is still a good bet as under normal conditions we all know that he is going to win,one thing is sure though this is going to be undoubtedly the best race of the whole season,it is going to be huge.

Looks like it isn't RBR for the weekend.  Ferrari has been the fastest for most of the weekend except FP3.  And Verstappen's line is now at 1.40 - 1.45 depending on what book you look at.  Still the guy most likely to win according to the books but if Leclerc keeps calm and the team gives him a good game plan, he could end up winning it imho.

And I've always thought Ferrari and Merc were slightly faster on the straights due to their PU and Red Bull faster on the turns due to the Newey factor and better aerodynamics.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 18, 2023, 01:05:04 PM
FP2 was delayed due to some man hole cover missing.  Lmao.  As it's a new track, this doesn't look good.  How many more shenanigans are there for the track?  I hope everything is good and ready for the race...  And not just that, I hope everything will be safe for the drivers.

All in all, watched a bit of FP2 and I gotta say the view of the buildings with the lights are good.  Kinda like a GT game.  Wink  Anybody play GT here?

Here are the results for both FP1 and FP2.
After so much money were invested into this GP, it's ridiculous that such things happens. And when you see thathole in Sainz car, it could have ended much worse. Now both Alpine and Ferrari will have to use new chasis because of these accidents. And cherry on top was helding P2 behind closed doors. I still don't get exact reasons why they done it, but fans who paid so much money fortickets should be mad.
I'm not big fan of Las Vegas GP, butall these lights and sphere looks impressive. But that's all what I can say about this track. I expect that Liberty Media have already prepared some cring things that happens only in America for Saturday and Sunday.

Oh..?  That sucks.  I wonder what's it gonna look like for Sainz to finish top 3 and top 6 on the grid.  They've been the fastest for almost all sessions of the weekend so far...

*checks the lines*

Ah no value.  :/  What prolly could have value tho is 'car to set fastest lap' at 3.45 for Ferrari.  Wink  Could be worth a small bet there as Sainz will surely be pushing it the whole race.

These are the fixtures for the games taking place on Saturday 25th November:

Manchester City vs Liverpool
Burnley vs West Ham United
Luton Town vs Crystal Palace
Newcastle United vs Chelsea
Nottingham Forest vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Sheffield United vs Bournemouth
Brentford vs Arsenal

The game of the day has to be the early kick-off between Manchester City and Liverpool and whichever team wins will sit at the top of the table. If the game ends in a draw but Arsenal manage to win away at Brentford they will be top of the table. Another exciting game to watch when Newcastle United host Chelsea.

I was about to make a post saying how I'm excited for the next fixtures thinking it was gonna be this weekend.  :/  Due to them being after the international break, some of them could become a bit more unpredictable.  And I hope nobody gets injured or gets a knock or something.

Anyway, some good match ups in there are...

City vs LFC:  A race to the top.
Chelsea vs NUFC:  Midtable battle
Sheffield vs Bournemouth:  Relegation battle
Spurs vs Aston Villa:  Battle for top 4
Fullham vs Wolves:  Battle to be at midtable

FP2 was delayed due to some man hole cover missing.  Lmao.  As it's a new track, this doesn't look good.  How many more shenanigans are there for the track?  I hope everything is good and ready for the race...  And not just that, I hope everything will be safe for the drivers.

All in all, watched a bit of FP2 and I gotta say the view of the buildings with the lights are good.  Kinda like a GT game.  Wink  Anybody play GT here?

Here are the results for both FP1 and FP2.

Weigh ins are gonna be live in 4 hours guys...  For those of you who care for the event.  Lol.  Grin  Seriously it's not that bad, there are good match ups in here.

I got Allen to win but there's something about Craig.  He's like the luckiest fighter in the UFC.  He seems to get in favorable spots to use his grappling and get a sub.  :/
