221  Economy / Digital goods / Re: GOD DICE SIMULATOR v2.4 : let's crack the odds - by simulating your own strategy on: August 20, 2017, 06:16:44 PM
The only way to "crack the odds" and turn the game in your favor on a dice site is to be the house. Anyone who says otherwise is a scammer.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH rises 70% today on: August 18, 2017, 05:49:43 AM
I couldn't watch this rally without doing anything, so I just sold a chunk of my BCH and bet the BTC from it on bitcoin still having the #1 crypto market cap at the end of the year. Smiley
223  Economy / Lending / Re: Guys, need help. Looking for loan. 0.15 btc for one month. on: August 16, 2017, 10:30:22 AM
Did you read the stickied posts? The Lending section is not about just taking money with a promise to pay it back. You have to provide collateral, or else there is a 0% chance that you will get a loan. If you can't provide collateral, you will have to go somewhere other than here.
224  Economy / Lending / Re: Urgent 0.02 loan need for medical expense... on: August 16, 2017, 07:10:53 AM
It is just not feasible to get a loan here without collateral if you are not an established member. I'm sorry about your kid, but sob stories aren't taken very well around here. I suggest that you lock this thread before someone gives your account red trust.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Hearn still holding Bitcoin. on: August 12, 2017, 03:08:57 PM

The orange blocks in this chart are the ones Mike Hearn supposedly mined. The second block is higher than the first one, so there is an argument that they were mined by the same person, but there isn't any proof that Mike Hearn in particular mined them. (The big black line of blocks is Satoshi again)

If they are Hearn's blocks, I don't know why he would have forgotten to sell those bitcoins. You can see from his blog that he is clearly not interested in Bitcoin anymore. Maybe he lost the coins somehow, or forgot about them.

Unfortunately I can't conclusively say if the emails are genuine or not. Someone could have looked for two otherwise isolated blocks that had moved some coins around and wrote a conversation between Nakamoto and Hearn based on those transactions. We don't know! Sad

It's possible block 11184 was mined by the same person, which is another unspent 50 BTC.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Hearn still holding Bitcoin. on: August 12, 2017, 02:52:44 PM

I'm doing some block chain analysis to see if these claims stand up. Block 5326 (highlighted above) appears to be a genuine Satoshi block; Satoshi's miner made those big diagonal line patterns with the extraNonce.

I will keep looking at the rest
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Hearn still holding Bitcoin. on: August 12, 2017, 12:14:03 PM
All the usual FUDers attacking Mike in the past got it wrong.

Mike said he had sold all his coins. If these emails are legit they show he wasn't telling the truth about that. It was Mike who "got it wrong", not "The FUDers".

Curiously why did Satoshi Nakamoto sent 50 BTC on 18th April (mined 23-2-2009 10:05:15) to Mike Hearn. 1AfRNhdvL5zYL1FTxM9mHyYnHuHK4TpLYh. Think about it, Satoshi Nakamoto could have used an earlier block from January when he was mining almost alone. Satoshi Nakamoto picked the address from 23rd February 2009 which was almost mined 2 months prior. Did Satoshi Nakamoto not mine any blocks after 23rd February or did he just randomly pick that address?

Presumably he asked his wallet to send 50 BTC and the wallet's coin selection algorithm picked which utxo to spend. "Coin control" wasn't a thing back then.

I wonder what that algorithm was. The first transaction to Hal Finney spent from block 9, even though all blocks up to block 49 were mature at the time, and all blocks up to 77 were mined by Satoshi.
228  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 4mbtc - Ripple as collateral on: August 12, 2017, 12:04:24 PM
How much XRP are you offering as collateral? 120% of the loan amount would be good, so how does 125 XRP sound?
229  Other / Archival / Re: . on: August 12, 2017, 02:50:43 AM
Someone needs to add the cost of bitcoin cash to the tab, at the close of the auction.

You mean adding the bcash value to the total price? .5 bcash = $159  Shocked Then you might as well add the CLAMS too?

Is there some list of all these altcoins that can be redeemed from old coin/wallet BTC balances somewhere?
230  Other / Meta / Re: Account Stolen: EpStROM on: August 10, 2017, 10:18:46 AM
Where I see the address linked to my account? I think I never added added a address to my signature. But t I sent a few PM with my address.

I checked and the account has these two addresses in its post history:
1Pg8mrkFdE8ePuJe3XDPt2mc7HcZckCZYZ
1VFrAtRqkq5vPXzMfS6f8fdZhmE3ejdvz

It would be good for your case if you could sign messages with them.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber-heisted myself for (1.001 BTC) on: August 10, 2017, 06:58:56 AM
Some new precautions will be taken on the wiki following this incident:
  • Copying a sample address or private key from the wiki to a clipboard will also add some text to the clipboard stating that it is a sample key and should not be sent to or imported
  • A hatnote will be added to pages that make use of sample keys warning users not to send to or import them
  • Private keys will only be included on wiki pages when they are necessary to explain bitcoin functionality
232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: windows miner help needed on: August 10, 2017, 06:47:06 AM
- mining directly to an offline wallet while talking about shares? (it's either solo mining or pool mining, but if it's pool mining, why would there be a local offline wallet on an online machine)

The website says it's an offline temporary wallet... "on your local machine"... which is online, having just downloaded the software. Sorry OP, uninstall this right away and do a virus scan.
233  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: windows miner help needed on: August 10, 2017, 06:42:04 AM
This is claiming to be a CPU miner, but it is not feasible to mine Bitcoin Cash with a CPU. You will probably not reach the 0.001 BCH payout threshold after years of mining. Most likely it is going to deploy spyware on your computer either when you first open it or on a certain date in the future. Sad
234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Found old bitcoin wallet.dat on: August 10, 2017, 06:38:02 AM
You can get the addresses in the wallet by opening bitcoin-qt without having to download the entire block chain, if it's a core wallet.dat.
Open up the debug window:

Then open the console tab:

And type listaddressgroupings and press enter.

It will show you a bunch of addresses associated with the wallet and you can check a block explorer to see if any have funds. (The wallet will say 0 because it's not synced)
235  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Fatcoin on: August 07, 2017, 09:16:29 AM
It takes the same amount of work to mine a block at the end of the chain as it does to make a second block with a certain parent, so it doesn't really make sense to do so.

If your goal is to have more blocks solved in a given time period, one option would be to change the block time target from 10 minutes to something less. You would have to proportionately change the block reward too in order to keep bitcoin production relatively constant. However, it is unrealistic to assume that changes to the issuance schedule of any kind would be acceptable to the community, so that's probably not an option.

Ideas like this are still fun to think about!
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How am I supposed to get over the anxiety and depression involved in all this? on: August 07, 2017, 12:20:14 AM
If the contents of the drive are worth $160,000 you should probably be investing in trying to recover it with professionals before investing in more crypto
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoins balance ok in client, but 0 during online check on: August 06, 2017, 10:19:19 PM
It looks like 1Ctc8YzJ6BZ8bNBaEPKG8AKWJ3qwke3nqj is your address, since it has received the last two transactions visible in your wallet. Remember that your wallet can be composed of many different addresses, and is a tool for managing them and counting up all the money! It sounds like your bitcoins are just fine.

When you check your list of addresses, ensure that 1Ctc8YzJ6BZ8bNBaEPKG8AKWJ3qwke3nqj is among them.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Fairbrix (FBX) block chain? on: August 06, 2017, 11:11:38 AM
Does anyone have a copy of the Fairbrix block chain? I wasn't able to find any peers at all unlike a few years ago, leading me to believe the coin is completely dead. However I would still like to get its block chain for research purposes, preferably one synced up to 2015 or later! Anyone have any leads?
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: False Confirmed Transaction on my bitcoin wallet on: August 06, 2017, 11:04:10 AM
Although it doesn't seem likely, OP didn't actually specify; so just in case it was an incoming transaction and not an outgoing one, you should know that in that situation there is not really any indication that you've been hacked. If you see an outgoing transaction that you don't remember authorizing then it sounds like you were hacked and like everyone else is saying you should move any coins that might be left in the wallet out right away.
240  Economy / Lending / Re: need loan for my travel and tour business on: August 06, 2017, 08:48:35 AM
i need to buy 2 account system in aunicaj.com from that system i can make money income. im building a network for  unlimited income

So are you saying that you are looking for a loan for a business that does not even exist? Seriously... Offer a valid collateral or lock the thread and come back when you have something to offer. There are many businesses related to travelling, and bitcointalk is not really any kind of place for searching investors. If you for example have really an idea, go to request it from btcpop.co. However the same applies there, you need to identify yourself, build up reputation to show possible investors that you are a real deal. As well as you will actually have to have some congrete proof that your "business" and "idea" is worth investing on. Judging by the OP, i doubt that anyone will think you are worth investing on. Just basically begging for 1BTC which they will never get back.

my collateral is my system in travel and tour business, ive never been begging/scam 1 btc. i keep my reputation

Your system, as in, an idea? Ideas aren't good collateral because, although they are transferable, it isn't possible to take it away from you - it can only be copied. Furthermore, ideas don't have a lot of value, certainly not 1 BTC. You will have to find a different kind of collateral if you are really serious about this loan, otherwise there is no way it is going to be filled.
