I found it!!!  It was in a hidden wallet that was passphrase protected. I did not see that before. Thank You both so much!

Yes all the transactions were made to the same address.

Yes Kano shows the address all the payments were sent to. I’ll try a block explorer for that address.

Yes I have the seed words for my Trezor.

I’ll have to check on the cache and report back.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / I lost my BTC. on: January 31, 2024, 05:43:28 AM
So back in early 2018 I was mining on Kano and had my rewards sent to an address that from what I remember should have been my trezor. I haven't had any other wallets. I had over 100 payouts totaling just over .4 BTC. I stopped mining in mid 2018. Fast forward to today. I plug in my trezor on a new computer, download the software, updated the firmware and my balance is no where near .4 BTC.  None of those transactions are in my history. Only a few smaller transactions I made several years ago are there. I thought well maybe I was wrong about what I mined. Nope, I checked Kano for my reward history and it is just over .4 BTC like I remembered.  Where did it go? The thing that gets me is there is no way I would have mined all that without checking my wallet to see the balance. Especially the first payout because I would have wanted to see it show up. Since I updated the firmware it gave me a new address. Is there any way I can determine if the address I have on Kano is my old trezor address? I don't know what else I can do.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to transfer bitcoins anonymously? on: May 14, 2021, 01:37:54 AM

Let's say you mixed your coins successfully and send them to a private wallet no one knows and never been used since. So it got out of the exchange as the last traceable link to it. I was just thinking if the IRS will ask you what happen to your coins that got out of the exchange?

What would you say to the IRS who will visit you to ask these data personally?

This is the same thing I was thinking. You have currency in an account registered to you and it vanishes without a trace. I would think that would raise a red flag.

I refuse to pull the plug at this point and I won’t sell my miners. However if it gets around 3k I’ll just buy it.

This low price of BTC is sucking. I need 25 blocks per month at this price to equal my electric bill.

I’m somewhat screwing myself on my electric bill right now with 2 of my miners being S7’s. I could replace them with 1 S9 and have more hash with less power consumption. S7 just aren’t worth anything  anymore for me to even feel like dealing with getting rid of them.

I have a storage locker with a bunch of outdated and inefficient miners (M3s, S7s, A742, etc) - if prices do go crazy again, they'll be sellable.

Not a bad plan. I may copy that.

This block is a tough one for sure. Hopefully we get lucky with a couple quick ones right away after.

Where would this magical $10k come from that I would use to buy BTC?   My miners are just fine.    YMMV

I think that was a typo. It should have been $1000 since that is about the price of a miner.

I don’t see what it matters as far a farm size. If you have 1 miner that’s not profitable. It wouldn’t matter if you have 100 miners. If one isn’t profitable then 100 isn’t profitable. So huge farms have big overhead to factor into the price. If anything I would think they are more at risk of dying off than us smaller miners.

I have a solo pool setup as my third, luck be a lady!  Wink

I like that too

Good idea. I had not thought of that.

Pool hashrate is looking good. I better step up my mine to keep my piece of the pie up. It’s about cut in half from what it use to be per block. I’m waiting to see if miners will keep dropping in price. That and my power bill is approaching levels that would require me to cash in some coin each month to help pay for it. That’s no good.

Too bad you didnt have my luck. My electrical company has only billed 2900 kwh since dec 8th.  I have been at about 7500 kwh per month. one month was at 8400.  They didnt bill me becuase the power company said it was high, so they estimated, sent someone to my door to investigate, i told her off, nosey Biatch!  The power company confirmed with me the readings were accurate, then they sent them to the retailer, then the retailer didnt want to bill it becuase there is no way that I could of used  17000 kwh in 28 days according to their readings.  So now they are going to go back and "pro rate" my usage.  Ironically the  cost per kwh has gone up slowly, where do you think the most of the usage will end up according to their calculation...  gee I wonder..

So yes, Dec 8. til April 8, 4 months all I have been billed is 2900 kwh, when it should total to about 25 000 kwh.   1750 cnd Bux!  Thats going to be a nice bill when I get it.  I'll ask for time to pay. :-)

Ya thats really going to suck when they catch on to what’s happening. Enjoy it while it lasts! My bill is actual every month with ComEd smart meters. I thought for sure I would get a letter from them about my power consumption going way up.

I think right now I’d just buy btc instead of more miners. Unless difficulty dropped  and we started hitting the block lottery.
