Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin
on: January 13, 2018, 05:04:45 AM
Bitcoin is gradually breaking grounds and gaining acceptance and adoption globally. Japan has shown that it is possible elsewhere it is just a matter of time before merchants and retailers in other countries begin to accept transaction in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The future of Bitcoin is bright and enthusiasts must continue to sustain the momentum in order to get the buy in of governments and corporations. I believe that with proper framework and structure, more retailers will begin to accept Bitcoin

Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin.

This idea sounds interesting but there is no island in any part of the world that is not owned or controlled by a government. Creating an independent republic in a bid to make Bitcoin it official currency is not the best way to sell the idea of legalising the cryptocurrency. First we need to continue to spread the bitcoin message as true ambassadors and continue to advocate for its wide acceptance. With time, governments and corporations will be forced to adopt it as a legal tender.

Economy / Economics / implication of south Korean crackdown on cryptocurrencies
on: January 12, 2018, 04:30:28 PM
South Korean authorities are currently clamping down on cryptocurrencies and are proposing a legislation to possibly ban cryptocurrency because they have linked it to gambling and other illegal behaviours among their population. This has caused some uproar in the market. However, the lives of many young Koreans depends on cryptocurrencies as unemployment rate remains high in the country. What do you think will play out if the government of South korea finally succeeds in shutting down the crypto space?

Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom
on: January 12, 2018, 01:01:01 PM
Bitcoin has indeed freed a lot of people from the stronghold of the conventional financial system. It has brought decentrality to a very rigid system and has given society alternative. Thanks to Bitcoin, you don't need to pass through the bottleneck inherent in the traditional financial system before you can carry out business. It has opened new frontier for people and this is real freedom.

Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world?
on: January 11, 2018, 03:07:01 PM
It is a tall order to speculate about eliminating all banks in the world. That largely is a wishful thinking. The banks have been there from time immemorial. Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general cannot lead to elimination of banks. What we should advocate for as Bitcoin enthusiast is the need for a serious system around bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to ensure that it becomes generally acceptable as an alternative currency and for it to become well entrenched with more investments.

Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin
on: January 11, 2018, 01:47:00 PM
You have a valid point and argument. However, it is also pertinent to note that we need government's buy in for Bitcoin to become generally accepted. As it is now, there is no strong structure around the cryptocurrency. Unlike uber, we are talking about something major. South korea for instance is planning to pass a legislation that could ban Bitcoin trading and this is already causing the value of the cryptocurrency to plummet.
With time, governments across the world will start to experiment with their own version of cryptocurrency and this will bring about crisis with the existing system. Hence, there should be some kind of synergy with governments and central banks to ensure a very strong framework and structure around bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin is indeed becoming a global currency. There is increase in the awareness level and lots of folks are now buying in and investing in the cryptocurrency. The previous negativity associated with Bitcoin is largely due to lack of knowledge and information about its workings, usefulness and processes. Globally, people are now investing in Bitcoin confidently.

Bitcoin remains very volatile now because there are lots of uncertainties and fear around it. Bitcoin's volatility could also be related to its unpredictability and lack of serious structure it. There are lots of negativity around the cryptocurrency and many people are still sceptical about it.

Economy / Economics / Re: How do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now?
on: December 29, 2017, 04:14:25 AM
From observable trends and activities around Bitcoin, it is quite clear that the cryptocurrency has made tremendous progress since its emergence and it can only get better. Lots of folks that are previously skeptical are now developing more interest in Bitcoin. The surge in price of the cryptocurrency has also drawn more interest and attention of even those who see it as a no go area.
It is important to note that judging from the progress Bitcoin has made so far, in the next ten years it will become a house hold name and even governments and big corporations will tap into it.

Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is better than Obama?
on: December 24, 2017, 08:22:31 PM
Obama is way out of Trump's league. Mr Trump came in and messed up the whole room. Obama is far better than Trump because he built America on the dreams of its founding fathers. Trump still believes that America is a reality TV and he is screwing everything up. His handling of the Russian probe, Climate change, Jerusalem status, immigration and other sundry matters shows that what he lacks in leadership, he makes up with tweets.

on: December 22, 2017, 12:59:44 AM
In the next few days, president Donald Trump will sign the new tax legislation which scaled through at both houses of congress this week. Analysts have said that digital currency owners are obliged by the new U.S. Tax regime to pay taxes when they exchange it for dollars or buy tangible items or goods. What do you think this now portend for the crypto world now that Mr Trump want a share of the loot?

Forgetting someone who loves you or whom you love is not an easy task. Depending on the reason why you want to forget such person, it is very important to note that the past is only in the past when you cannot remember anything again. But if you are just making deliberate effort to forget a person you must do so with clear conscience or it will be difficult.

A Lot has been said about Bitcoin and how it has been used for illegal activities including drugs and money laundering. This has given the cryptocurrency a very bad name. That fact that it is unregulated again gives them a reasonable cause for concern. However, it is now clear that Bitcoin has gain more ground and popularity lately and the awareness is even more as many societies and individuals are now tapping into the trend

Drug cases in the Philippines is really worrisome. But more worrisome is the approach the president of the country is deploying in the fight against drugs. There is a need for a multi-faceted approach. The approach being adopted right now cannot completely rid the country of drug related crimes. The security forces have in the guise of fighting drugs crime resorted to extrajudicial killings without recourse for human rights.
Every criminali will suggest that he grants amnesty to drug lords and begin to work towards ensuring that they surrender their drugs and arms while the security forces still work within the law to bring to justice those who remain adamant
