Payout will be sent at around 101 confirms - the Pool->Blocks page says how many so far. Bitcoin rules are that you can't spend/send a block before that.
Do we have to trigger the payment or is it automatic?

How/when do you trigger the payout?
|
|
|
...Payouts to all users will be done over the next two weeks for any outstanding balances automatically. An update will be posted here when that is complete...
It has been two weeks. There have been no updates. There have been no payouts. This whole thing just sucks! I hate dishonest people, they can all go straight to hell!

Kano, How come we can no longer see all the Pool Workers on the website?
Because a while ago a certain asshole started a vendetta against Kano when he did not get answers that fit with their view of how things work or more to the point how they want things to work decided to post the entire list of users here. While not directly a security issue it *did* give potential hackers a nice list to try using for attacks. The odd thing about this is that he's directing his malice at the pool miners. So I'd think that the hate zone towards him would be very high now. The effect on the pool itself is minimal since I've had to deal with such bot attacks a number of times even last year, and my pool code handles them quite well. Well shit, it is always the one the screws it up for the masses!

From my side mmpool's website is down...

I see anywhere between 3.5A per port and up to 4.1A draw per port depending on the stick.
Do you set the voltage using a amp meter in between the hub and stick?
|
|
|
I run these with no issues on the latest version of Kano's cgminer. cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u BTC.WORKERNAME -p x --gekko-start-freq 350 --gekko-compacf-freq 580 --gekko-mine2 --gekko-tune2 60 --suggest-diff 3000 What do you have your voltage set to?

This incident should be better known to the community and law enforcement. What if the pool operator isn't doing this? Maybe someone can write a press release. There are free press release services out there.
http://mmpool.org/ MMPool is just a static news page today. The rest of the site links serve the same news page. The bitcoin node is offiline since about Jan 12, 2023 01:30 AM UTC https://bitnodes.io/nodes/193.29.105.150-8333/MMPool News 2023-01-12 The pool server is down while it is being rebuilt. This status page exists to keep up to date with progress. Investigation is continuing towards tracking down who infiltrated the server. A forensic examination of the server is underway. For any questions please email admin (at) mmpool.org. I encourage any pool user affected by this to email and get in touch. Any other communications medium other than that account does not represent the pool. Any help or advice appreciated.
I lost a very small amount, around 0.007 btc, but it still pisses me off because to maintain that little bit of coin over the last year cost a metric shit ton of power and money! I truly feel for ctya and completely understand his anger!

It's physically identical to the existing hub, but uses a high-efficiency central regulator instead of several lower-power ones. That means there's no more "6A per port pair" limit. We also put 3.5A PTC resetting fuses on each port for safety.
Looking forward to getting my hands on one.

@sidehack, any idea when the new USB Hub be available? I was able to RMA the bad one.
|
|
|
Sorry about that. The last while has been pretty hectic. The next batch of hubs going out is a new design better able to handle high power, and with a bit of extra safety built in.
The usual path for support is to talk to the authorized reseller you got your gear from.
As I said, I am willing to pay you to fix them. Going through the reseller would just waste time and money.

I have 2 bad USB hubs. Both of them have lost the regulator for port 6 & 7. I attempted to repair 1 buy replacing the regulator but it is very unstable above 425mhz. The second I have done nothing to try an fix it. I have reached out to sidehack but he will not reply to my emails.
Be careful running these hubs with 5 CompacF's in them, both hubs that I have used this way result in the same failure. The regulator seems to overheat and burn out. At the moment support seems to be nonexistent. Hell, I am not asking for them to be replaced, I asking if they can be repaired and what would that repair cost be. I think the USB regulators need a heat sink on them to help dissipate the heat.

Service questions should start with the reseller.
What is the capacitor size between pins 6 & 7 on the USB hub. The regulator for ports 6 & 7 burnt out and during the process of repairing that capacitor disappeared. Thanks

sidehack,
Can/do you repair the USB hubs?
