Am i correct in thinking when the new wallet is compiled and released we will have to.

- Backup wallet.dat file
- Delete all contents of appdata/roaming/klondikecoin
- Restore wallet.dat backup to folder
- Open wallet and let it re-sync

+ add the new config file with latest nodes to the dir

What are the latest nodes? I am currently using
addnode=37.59.28.23
addnode=162.243.255.143
addnode=88.208.205.38
addnode=88.208.205.216
addnode=88.208.206.55
addnode=88.208.207.68
addnode=88.208.207.73

...but the 1st page announcement only shows 3 and when I populate them, the wallet wont sync... Am i to assume these are invalid now?

Has there been new nodes added? I updated the client, and launched, but the wallet is not syncing ... any ideas?

LoL Nice to see the Devs really engaging the problem here... not a single working node, and the pools just rock the first few blocks... awesome work guys... will point farm elsewhere.

Guys - Ukraine is going through a revolution right now and asking for humanitarian help, link here
http://www.coindesk.com/hold-ukraine-protestors-turn-bitcoin-fundraising/

Over 80 people have died due to violence since this has started

Considering the whole reason this coin is in existence this is a perfect opportunity to show some support to those who need it.

I propose we all donate some RevolutionCoin to support humanitarian efforts in the Ukraine, The coin can then be given to the organizers providing food, clothing, and medical care who can then exchange it for BTC or use it to purchase goods / supplies with.

Currently the most they have been able to muster is a paltry $15,000 in aide - I think we can shatter that number, especially if we can get the BTC community deeper involved.

The link to coindesk and Bitcoin fundraising mainly covers pro-West supporters who has occupied "Maidan". $15000 in aid will probably fund a day or two of food supplies to the "Maidan". Don't forget, that the whole country is in jeopardy at the moment with legally elected president hiding in Russia. Ukrain is about to split into three parts - West, East and Crimea. If we do raise funds we have to make sure that they are going to humanitarian aid and not funding any of the groups. By the way, pro-western supporters recieve a lot of support (including financial I believe) from EU and the USA politicians, who don't feel shy to come over to Kiev for talks with pro-western groups. I see it as an intervension into political life of an independent country. If such talks have to take place, then revolutionary groups should visit Brussels or Washington. On the other side one of Russian parliamentaries (V. Zhirinovskiy) announced organising volonteers in Russia to be sent to Ukrain as support to eastern parts of the country. Russia kept quiet for a long time during the conflict, but now they seem to intervene as well. Ukrain becomes a battle ground of political technologies between pro-Russia and pro-West groups and countries backing up such groups. Political battle in the Ukrain should be left to it's citizens. This is my opinion.

Awesome to see people actually throwing weight into helping others. Is there anyone in here is familiar with the Ukraine language that can reach out to the red cross in the region it would be alot of help.

Havent heard from JohnK yet, so if anybody else knows a reputable escrow, now would be the time to reach out to them.

Also, I'll throw .05 btc towards the cryptorush initiative.

This is mainly political support not humanitarian. Only my opinion.
Red cross helps only revolutionaries or all citizens (include pro-government citizens)?

This will be donation to red cross? Then I have skipped something, may fault.

Yes. The Red Cross (or another large humanitarian group that is based in the region).  Without current backing to facilitate travel to regions in conflict in order to do the correct due diligence involved to insure the funds are actually being used appropriately and in a neutral way then the only alternative is to use a large recognized humanitarian aid group.  This also keeps our hands clean in regards to the potential of being placed on "watch lists" or worse being labeled as "funding enemy combatants".  We want to always be neutral.

Also, the use of a well known trusted escrow allows us to create yet another buffer in that regard and in the regard of who is in control of funds.  The escrow would have the CHE wallet for the humanitarian donations.  Then those CHE donations could be purchased for btc which would then be sent to whatever large and established humanitarian group is chosen by the community.  Possibly even an auction thread set up specific to whatever the current cause is at the moment.

This, I believe, is the type of Revolution the cryptoworld needs.

All feedback is welcome and necessary.

Due to chaotic situation within the country, I believe that hospitals and schools do not get much funding from budget at the moment. If we do choose a group or charity to distribute funds in the Ukrain, they should do it equally in all three parts of the country. The initiative should have a very transparent ledger. Almost a real time coverage in social media is necessary to avoid laundering and leaking of funds to any of fighting groups. Such social media coverage should be done by some established accounts rather than newly setup. Using escrows to buffer ourselves is a good idea, but we should also think about people who would do such escrow. We should equally think about not getting on multiple watch lists run by EU, USA, Russia and Ukrain.

Overall it is a good idea, but I agree with adversor - it must not be a political support.

Of course we would need to be cautious about who we support, i for one recommended reaching out to the Red Cross. At no point did I suggest anything other than offering help through legitimate humanitarian group.

 I for one still believe we should offer help where we can seeing as waiting to send aide after the crisis is over serves none. And believe me, I understand totally not wanting to end up on a watch list, but as with everything there is a right way and a wrong way of going about it. We just need to do our research.

If someone can contact JohnK and ask him if he is willing to escrow, it will go a long way to help gain confidence if we so choose to take up this project.  In addition, someone will have to contact those organizing the relief for the protesters so they cab take custody of the coin that is donated.

I would be willing to donate 1000 Revolution coin plus whatever I mine within the next 24hrs. anyone else??

There will be alot of logistics to make this happen, so before I dedicate any time to contacting everyone, I would have to see some backers... Anyone else care to beat my offer?

Given what happened with Panda today, I expect to see a big shift to this coin.  Maybe all those panda miners will finally realize why you don't bother mining a premined coin!

What exactly did happen to Panda today? plz tell and if not Panda what other N Factor is hot right now?

Also, food for thought to the guy who has the genesis block... You should take a page from DOGECoin and donate a portion of that coin for a good cause... Will add reputation to the coin and possibly skyrocket the popularity.

Question,
   Does the original Node list need to be changed for crapples in order to be mining "Crapples" instead of the original? still running the original node list that Dev posted. Just wanted to be sure I'm pointing the farm at the right target

Its not bullshit guys

Nice find.

Its not bullshit guys, 5 minutes of searching confirms.

I must confess that the department of corrections inmate roster is not something I have on speed-dial Smiley

I don't doubt there is a law (probably several) against this on the books.  Along with stuff like serving pretzels at bars and playing bingo for more than five hours.

Also,

Another intermediate possibility is that some mid-level law enforcement officer jumped the gun on this, running a sting and grabbing these guys without discussing it thoroughly with senior enough prosecutors.  End result these guys get set loose with no charges in a few days and we never know the difference.  Since this was a sting there were clearly "operations" people involved; maybe it was all operations people and no lawyers, and right now those operations people are sitting down with a bunch of state attorneys who are explaining to them that "yes, that law is on the books" but their time is not well spent (nor their careers advanced) by chasing kids for trading baseball cards.  Even if baseball cards are "trendy" right now and all over the news.

^^ stuff like that is why most news organizations wait for the charging documents or press release before they run a story.  Happens more often than you'd think.

Lets hope so. None the less, this is bad news for everyone... Its almost as bad as gun sale laws. But atleast those have person to person sales protection... atleast for now .

Here is the Statute
http://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2011/560.125

This is making me wonder what are the legalities in selling to major exchanges as well. IE. Coinbase. For example, These guys are registered at the FEDERAL level but what about the STATES level? Additionally, If you read the way the law is written, it does not say anything about the legalities when selling TO a licensed business nor does it exempt people who are selling to established, registered companies. Just that if a person/business "A person may not engage in the business of a money services business" then they need to be licensed.

I hope this is not the case, but if it is, anyone who does business with the exchanges who resides here in Florida and possibly other states could in theory be getting screwed via technicality of jurisdiction... This is bad stuff.

While they should have simply refused the transaction as soon as the cops mentioned using them for illicit activities and I believe they will definitely serve time for that charge, The community might want to considering setting up a legal fund for these guys since this case will definitely affect the Bitcoin community as a whole seeing as it will be setting a legal precedent in all cases where someone wants to do a person-to-person transaction, let alone clarification of who is considered a money servicing business on the state level.

Also, if there are any lawyers on here who can read the statute and chime in it would be helpful seeing that this is going to get ugly if we don't start making it a conversation.

Hi O'rama, I know there are more pressing matters to be discussed, but do you happen to know when resellers who managed the 10 units are going to get their miners?

Also, do you know what is going on with the reseller portal?

From what I understand, as someone asked me this at the conference, or words about; basically you get your miner at the point at which your 10th miner sale ships un-refunded. So if you sold 10 Jupiters in the October batch, you get your miner at the point at which the 10th Jupiter is sent. So in essence it is part of the October shipment. If your tenth is a November sale, then you get yours at such point your 10th sale leaves for shipment.

For sure though you have to sell 10 of any one type, so 10 Jupiters= 1 Jupiter free, 10 Saturns = 1 Saturn, 10 Mercuries etc. It's not a combo of 10 various types.

I don't think anyone managed to sell 10 boxes for an October shipment, other than that that bought 10+, and that's not many.

I'm no expert on this though, as I haven't been part of the affiliate thing, even though i've probably helped shift a few, or most. Sad

Funny thing, when i mentioned this to you previously, you said you were NOT helping them at all and 'merely expressing opinions'

Had it not been for you personally over enthusiastically vouching for them i would NOT have paid for my order.

i am over it now, but i was not impressed by your conduct in previous times.

i like you more now, the new, more honest bitcoinorama....  it would seem travel & expenses bring out the better in you.

now back to packing!!

Indirectly. It's obvious as a consequence to me asking and relaying evidence I procured that people on the fence made up their minds with what I conveyed, but I always stood my ground with respect to honesty and integrity, and always told people to strengthen and confirm my research with their own. I've never lied, so i'm unsure how my conduct has been anything but helpful in ensuring this project stayed on track. Any accusations towards scams that I've made have been wholly accurate. I expect to be proven correct about dishonest marketing practices used elsewhere as well.  My optimism and defense of the project throughout the duration came down to the fact I knew these guys were genuine and wanted to focus on delivering in time. I also knew that they had strongly vouched to promise worst case specs so as not to misappropriate facts with marketing fiction.

At the end of the day; I want to see my miner, as much as you want to see yours. My sole purpose in heading out there in the first place was to research them for myself, and my sole intent in remaining positive and providing supporting arguments was to counteract FUD being spread by competitors posing as users of this forum. The very same accusing me of allsorts. At the end of the day they had to stand on their own two feet and provide irrefutable evidence, as promised, within the given timeframe, or it means nothing to anyone.

I don't think anyone is letting me anywhere near packing again. I think my plan of uploading such a piss poor ability to pack scuppered that. Mission accomplished. Mwuhahaha! Tongue

Orama, Glad to hear you are catching your breath dude... And its also good to see the trolls dry up / praise you in the aftermath of all the FUD that was thrown at you. Hope you continue working with KNC. I just hope they recognize really how much business you brought them.

That Aside, can you please address the Capacitor issue? I have 3 of these in-bound and am scared as hell to leave them alone by themselves... Can you please inquire about this issue and see if you can get some answers for the following questions:

1. The model / Capacitance of the Cap's that are blowing

2. What the theoretical cause of is as to why these are blowing when the machine is restarted after a lock-up.

Much appreciate it dude... Look forward to hearing from you
