1  Economy / Trading Discussion / When to sell bitcoin before the next bear market starts? on: February 08, 2023, 11:57:16 PM
Ok so this is a little down the road from here but assuming after the next halving and bitcoin goes into another bull run, when would be a good time to sell?i have already went through a couple of bull runs and bear markets but i didnt sell and take profits. I would like to sell before the next bear market to take profits this time.

So if bitcoin's cycles remain true, when roughly would be the start of the next bear market after the 2024 halving and bull run for a good time to sell. Can this be predicted somewhat? For all you TA guys when would be a good time to sell just to give me an idea? Thanks.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to earn with your idle bitcoin (if there is a way anymore?) on: February 08, 2023, 01:16:05 AM
Yeah i think after looking and reading these posts the best thing is to keep it on my ledger. You cant push luck so many times before you get burned. There is really nothing out there anyway that is appealing so ill just hold for now.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to earn with your idle bitcoin (if there is a way anymore?) on: February 06, 2023, 12:20:19 PM
I believe lending is your only option to get profit out of your idle Bitcoin. This way you can choose who to lend and you can safely do this by allowing only high trust score borrower to borrow your money and charge interest for a certain period of time. Forum lending section and some DeFi offer this kind of service but I highly suggest the forum lending section since many reputable that regularly availing loan for a minimum of 10% interest rate per month. Just be vigilant on who you will lend.

Yes this sounds interesting i would like to learn more. I guess i ll go over to the lending section to take a peak. You mentioned also some defi offer this kind of service, can you think of any off the top of you head? Iam not saying ill jump all in right away but i am curious about it.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is the best way to earn with your idle bitcoin (if there is a way anymore?) on: February 06, 2023, 08:42:02 AM
Ok so i am always looking for ways to earn on my idle bitcoin, i was lucky enough to pull out of celsius a month before disaster and they closed up shop. I know that i will never trust a cefi platform again for earning on my bitcoin. I could go the the other route which is defi. But with defi i am not interested in converting my bitcoin into something like wrapped bitcoin.

So if i am not interested in cefi or really much of the defi way what else is out there? I am not really an expert on crypto but i ve been around it since 2017 but like i said i am always looking for ways to earn with the bitcoin i have.

If there isnt really anything out that is relatively safe i am happy to continue hodling it on my ledger. But if any of you guys are aware of something new that i havnt heard of please feel free to let me know thanks.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Canadian Bitcoin taxes on: November 08, 2022, 08:56:23 PM
Iam wondering if I will have to pay tax for some Bitcoin transactions I made. On a platform somewhere I converted a pretty big sum of Bitcoin to USDC. Does this mean I will have to pay taxes now? What will happen if I don’t report this? Thanks in advance.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Question on leverage on: August 15, 2022, 09:09:15 PM
So i am dabbling into trading again and i have a question about leverage. i was wondering if you start out with 100 dollars starting balance and you use 10 leverage and you manage to blow your account, are you liable to pay the full 1000 dollars that leverage gave you? Or you do just lose your initial starting balance?. I am not sure how this works please clear this up for me thanks.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Defi on: August 15, 2022, 05:07:55 AM
I am trying to figure out how this works forgive me if i am naive to this subject but i am learning anyhow. So yeah with the cefi disasters going on in crypto lately i am looking to towards defi to earn on my bitcoin. But you say bitcoin and defi aren't compatible? Well i found two places that offer just that. A place called Sovryn and a place called Alex. I am familiar with how cefi interest earning works but i am not familiar with defi. So if i place my bitcoin one of these platforms why do they ask me to convert it to wrapped btc  to earn interest or whatever token they offer? How will i earn on bitcoin if it goes up and its converted to wrapped bitcoin? I want to keep my bitcoin bitcoin. i am confused by how this works. My main question probably is why do i have to convert my bitcoin to something else if i just want to earn on my original bitcoin? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of earning on bitcoin?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 BTC = 1 BTC. You only lose if you sell. You're buying inflationary fiat. on: May 12, 2022, 07:02:08 AM
yeah that true but where is the bottom to this $hit show we are currently at 27000 for bitcoin. I am no TA expert at all but i ve heard the next support is somewhere between 20000-21000.

10  Economy / Long-term offers / Looking for .29 bitcoin loan long term offer Collateral provided on: March 01, 2022, 09:12:49 AM
Hi i am looking for .29 bitcoin loan. I am not sure how to go about this here in this forum such as the details of a loan like this, its my first time doing this here, i have taken out loans before with platforms like celsius. My main question is if bitcoin goes below a certain price will my loan be liquidated like with celsius or is it different here? Anyhow i have collateral for this loan, i have .71 bitcoin as collateral..How do i go about proving this sorry i am new to this.
I am looking for at least a 1 year loan term thanks
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How safe is Celsius Network? on: December 26, 2021, 12:24:48 AM
After reading some of these i ve decided to remove all my coins from Celsius back on to my ledger, i ve realized it just doesnt seem worth the risk for so little rewards. On top of that the fact that Celsius just slashed their bitcoin rate from 6 to 3.5 doesnt help that much either. After reading elsewhere i dont think they can sustain those types of rates in the long run either just my opinion. Better safe than sorry i guess. ive already had a sim card attack on my phone i am not going to risk it anymore.
12  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Do you think that Bitcoin is more worth buying than the ASICs? on: December 23, 2021, 04:10:36 AM
From my experience when i bought a goldshell miner and then sold it a few month later, i think i won the deal compared to the guy i sold it too. i made a pretty good profit while the return for sia coin with the hs5 miner i sold is going down. I am not sure he will be able to make his money back with the miner. So yeah in my case id rather just buy bitcoin than mine it but each to their own.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Earning interest on bitcoin without giving up your keys on: December 23, 2021, 12:10:57 AM
Wouldnt it be great for the holdlers if you could earn interest on your bitcoin and not give up your keys? So ive heard of this new thing from some other guy
called Atomic finance that just does exactly that. Sounds interesting.  The way crypto is always evolving i bet its just a matter of time before we can safetly earn interest on bitcoin but i am no expert on this. Does anyone here know of any upcoming projects like atomic finance that are doing exactly that?
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When and how did you discover Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2021, 10:43:44 PM
I found out about it when it first came out i kept seeing adsense ads for it but i didnt get involved. I jumped on in 2017 when it was booming and been hodling ever since.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How safe is Celsius Network? on: December 22, 2021, 08:51:26 PM
Atomic finance never heard of it but iam interested if you still control your keys ill look into it thanks man. On second thought its your first post sorry but i ll  have to be weary of that
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have been scammed in pancackeswap telegram group on: December 22, 2021, 08:44:31 PM
Sorry to hear i feel kind of the same way with lost funds i just sent my matic from binance to a different wallet using the polygon network  instead of erc20. its an expensive lesson but we will learn from it now hopefully.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sending matic from binance to celsius on: December 22, 2021, 07:23:28 PM
I just sent 250 dollars worth of polygon to celsius using the polygon network instead of erc20, will i lose my funds now? how can i reverse this? also why the **** would binance even list the polygon network in their list if they know people would lose their coins if you send it that way? Thats ******!
18  Economy / Service Discussion / How safe is Celsius Network? on: December 22, 2021, 06:13:50 PM
How safe? what are all the risks involved with this lending platform?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 22, 2021, 05:17:55 PM
I am not talking about crap coins or coins "du jour" that are hyped today but seem to fade as time goes on like chainlink seems to have done. So what legit coins do you see blossoming in the future long term? i am interested in investing in them. ill add another question on top of this one, is matic and solana hype coins today that hot today but not tommorow?
