1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Core and spam debate - easy explanation on: October 16, 2025, 04:51:44 PM
Sorry Greg, there are just too many idiotic personal insults for me to be able to make it through that or treat it as worth making a detailed rebuttal to.

I suggest dropping the constant allegation that this is "ocean marketing" as betrays the motivated reasoning at play here too.

It does absolutely nothing for our company taking the position on spam that we do and has been a sticking point for many miners we have spoken to.

Further, we're the only pool that cannot impose an ideology onto the block contents of its miners. And if you were prepared to do some research, you'd see that plenty of our miners use Core and not Knots.

If we had the authoritarian intentions that you constantly allege, then the last thing we'd be doing would be to push for decentralized mining as it fundamentally undermines any would-be dictator in the space.

You cannot be oblivious to this so to anyone paying attention to this discussion, you simply appear to be arguing in bad faith looking to attack people's characters and call their motives into question.

Wow, this brings back old memories. What happened to my "shelved shares" I wonder :-)
They were shelved - lol
... and wiz took a nice large txn to himself when everything closed down.
Will be fun to see this happen on ocean as well Smiley

Ehh no. Final payment was made in 2017 to everyone left.

Go lie elsewhere scumbag.

Since I have been beaten to this, I will try to add some value here.

With this last purchase every shares now has 177,458 Satoshii, up from 172,344.

And yet the stock costs $378?? Why is it 2x the price of the sats? Doesn't seem justified at all?

It feels like I'm repeating myself, bringing up lightning in every other post, but I think this is worth sharing.

This last month has been my best routing month ever since I set up this node, a bit more than 2 years ago.

I've made about 500k sats in profit this month, or about 1% APY. Looking back, I'm at about 0.25% APY since I started.

If I can keep this pace up, it might actually be worth it running a routing node, more than just a hobby.

That's awesome! What implementation are you using? LND? Would love to discuss in a DM as it's kinda off topic here.

$100,000 in..... 3.....2.....1....

Probably achieved when waking up in de morning.

Gonna sleep early?

Not much going on tonight besides drinking a cup of tea while reading before sleeping. Book called Nexus, history of information networks from the stone age to A.I by Yuval Noah Harari.

Are you hate-reading? I can't imagine doing anything with that disgusting WEF creep.

I used to read every post on this thread for years, now I don't know who any of you are and all my old friends are gone Sad

Shroomskit, Jaroslaw, Rich, Adam, where are you all??

Still here. Rich is still doing Chartbuddy, Jaroslaw/Walsoraj is long gone but I think Shroomskit may have made an appearance recently. Adam abdicated this thread years ago as a result of the blocksize wars and Risto is deceased (RIP). Time moves on.

Hey I remember you. Risto, wow. Forgot all about him. He was the "bitcoin super node (dissolved)" guy. He had a castle and went on about cigars a lot. Sad to hear of his passing.

Shrooms was utterly unhinged.

What about "GOAT"? Man come back old frends Sad

Just sync up bitcoin core (as someone mentioned - get a recent version for speed's sake) and the imported keys should give you what you're looking for. Bitcoin core should find anything relevant in the blockchain.
