Although bitcoin has some issues that needs to be address, I don't see any reason on why would bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency. Not unless, the existing user base of bitcoin will totally lost confidence on bitcoin and an exodus to another crypto will happen, then bitcoin will be here to stay. Some cryptocurrency may reach the popularity of bitcoin as it has today, but it would just co-exist with bitcoin. More like friendly competition

I personally feel holding will be the key for the conversion of investment into profits.As almost all coins are rising and it still is an initial stage.No big news or update has come that threatens the price to go down.It is the momentum that came from new year and it will continue and i think people will invest and hold for some time.So my advice would be to split your investment into different coins and wait for sometime as prices are rising slowly and would continue till some time.Rest it is your money and final call would always be your's.

I strongly disagree about bitcoin is not a currency. Bitcoin is a currency, a cryptocurrency were only exist in computer and could buy any item online.
