281  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: January 19, 2024, 11:20:39 PM
Please review the Buycoin exchanger service https://www.bestchange.com/buycoin-exchanger.html
They make false promises, as the website shows that the maximum amount they can exchange is 236,303, or 236k bitcoins, which is a very large amount for a medium/small service, and below there are some statistics as:

these claims are inaccurate More than 10 years on the market and the domain registration date is 2023-11-06?
Over 10K satisfied customers and there are no positive or negative reviews on the Internet.
It appears in BESTCHANGE that they are from Poland, but the registration data says that they are from US Fort Lauderdale FL Postal Code 33304
I think BestChange needs to investigate and to look more into this Exchanger. Something is not right, unless if they just changed their domain name along the way. Even the age of 4 years and 1 month doesn't seem to add up in their bestchange profile.

I checked the archive and the domain name was up for sale even in 2021
282  Other / Meta / Re: Allow to make thread self-moderated even after posting on: January 16, 2024, 11:42:44 PM
Not a good idea. Imagine I create a topic today and then after 4 months I turn it into a self-moderated topic and delete all the posts of those who replied there.  Grin
Scammers would love that so much. Trolls a like.

And this has been discussed several times before, read through the replies
1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5442602
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4963548.

Just lock that thread and create a new self-moderated topic with a link of the old thread.
283  Other / Meta / Re: Question about images. on: January 16, 2024, 11:08:50 PM
So it is basically not a problem on my end right?
Yeah

Only the people who posted to images can fix the broken image by using the TalkImg website or the script to reupload their images?
Yeah, if you are to use the script, it will only work for broken images posted through your account and are not in locked threads.
284  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportbet.one uses bogus excuse to confiscate $13,705 from me on: January 16, 2024, 11:04:07 PM
Seems like a very complicated case that might require an experienced and trustworthy arbitrator. As just a forum member, it's hard to know as of now who could be right or wrong.
Have you considered raising this complaint on a platform like Askgamblers or casinoguru? If you do, please share a link here to keep as posted on how the case gets resolved.
I discovered you have already notified them on their Official ANN.
285  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Please HELP they wont process my transaction on: January 16, 2024, 10:36:13 PM
Thank you Lucius, I am not very active on socials so that might be a little hard for me, but when you say contact one of the better known crypto media what do you mean?
He probably meant those crypto related media like cointlegraph, coindesk etc, but I think you will pay a hefty fee if you decided to run your story there. Maybe start with making some noise on Twitter, Reddit and YouTube (YouTube would be a good idea if you came a cross a good influencer and scam buster like Coffeezilla) but I guess everything just rotates around money.
286  Economy / Reputation / Re: An awoken problem on: January 16, 2024, 10:08:00 PM
I can't change the past, and it could have been managed better with something like the above, but perhaps a reconsideration to at least neutral, or perhaps even the removal of the tag, but any delayed payments issues that occur like in the past of in the future you can always add the tag once again.

Hey lightlord, I was hesitating because I don't like to be the bad guy but you're back at it again. Good thing I didn't remove your tag or change it to neutral, otherwise I would have to put it back to red again:
I hope what was in the escrow address was able to cover up the payments for the last campaign week and members don't have to wait until LightLord is back like last time? The campaigns are probably the lowest paying currently. Some genuine participants don't deserve to got through the double pain.
287  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: January 16, 2024, 09:30:02 PM
I have two questions :

1. For cash trades (I have bitcoins, want to sell for cash EURO) are all exchangers listed at ur site 100% reliable? Any tips for me? As most of them ask for 10k minimum and they want you to sent the crypto UPFRONT. Please advice!
That's how centralized exchangers work. It's about building trust. Just like how you would trust Binance by depositing some dollars or Euros with them before you buy the Bitcoins. Bestchange is a monitor that compares the rates. You can also be able to see some more information about the exchangers like the past reviews, age of the exchanger, the reserves and how long the exchanger has been listed on bestchange among other things.

I would suggest you make full use of the reviews feature before you get to use any exchanger and also thoroughly read their terms and conditions.
288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much trading fee deduction on Bybit on: January 16, 2024, 08:55:49 PM
In trading perpetual futures contracts markets, I believe long position takers get paid in funding fees by the short position takers if the spot price of the asset is higher than the price of the futures contract of that asset. If the spot price is lower than the perpetual contract's price, it's the long position takers that pay the short position takers.
The funding fees are only fulfilled at specific hours though, depending on the contract and the exchange. Some do it hourly, every 4 hours or every 8 hours so if someone opens and closes the position outside the time funding time, the funding fees won't affect their PNL.
289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much trading fee deduction on Bybit on: January 15, 2024, 11:54:08 PM
Common trick by exchanges, start out with lower fees, best the market, capture a part of the pie, and then gradually keep milking your loyal traders more and more.

Funny thing is in bybit especially, if you are a large volun maker, you even get PAID to make trades. Bybit will have people having an incentive to market make instead of having to hire someone... And the small volume traders are the ones funding this. It's outrageous if you think about it, but that's not to say that traditional markets are fairer... St least bybit is transparent about how they charge fees.
I used to like the fee structure that they used to have when the just got into the market. It was actually similar to what Bitmex had at that time. For the derivatives, the fee would be 0.075% for market orders (market takers) and -0.025% or 0.025% rebate for the limit orders (market markers) and this cut across all traders. There was no VIP or volume tier bullshit.

Later on, the scraped it off for the current unfair fees.
290  Economy / Lending / Re: 5$ for coinbase quest on: January 15, 2024, 11:21:30 PM
Unfortunately for you, your account is brand new so even if you genuinely need the loan, no one is going to take you seriously and lend you even $1. We have people willing to even scam just $3. That's how things are on the internet. My advice? Get the $5 from a relative or friend. It will be much easier and hoping to get any from here.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Counterwallet down on: January 15, 2024, 10:58:44 PM
Some domains and subdomain seem to be working from my side

1. https://counterwallet.io -- Working
2. https://wallet.counterwallet.io/ -- Not working
3. https://eds.counterwallet.io/ -- Working
4. https://robotlovecoffee.counterwallet.io/ -- working.

Please take advantage of the uptime and get out your coins if it's also working on your side.
292  Economy / Marketplace / Foundation of Bitcoin Market on: January 15, 2024, 10:33:32 PM
So you went from looking for the origins of the Bitcoin Market to lamenting on how Bitcoin network is corrupted? Wow.

The idea of building data centres in order to then run a business based on electricity and fossil energy suppliers, which supposedly mines this coin worth its weight in gold out of nothing, makes this idea absurd.
There is nothing absurd here. The fact the one has to invest and mine coins in order to get rewarded is what makes the network more secure and decentralized. Ask yourself why it's currently so hard to pull off an attack such as the 51% attack on the network? It's super expensive and not worth it.

That is why we have decided to intervene! And to publish two still open fragments of the idea in a timely manner. Among other things, there will be a new consensus procedure "Proof of Knowledge" to give the one or other #SatoshiNakamoto fairy tale its rightful place.
Go on, show us your “genius” proof of Knowledge consensus
293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much trading fee deduction on Bybit on: January 15, 2024, 09:58:19 PM
What contract were you trading and how long was the position open. On top of the fees charged for opening and closing the positions. Sometimes the funding fees which can go as high as 3% could affect the PnL so try to check under the PnL tab for the fee break down if you are using PC.

Here is a screenshot for simple follow up

294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 15, 2024, 09:47:41 PM
Me I even prefer to trade futures with higher capital without leverage than do anything leverage trading, in such senario, your duty is to wait for Bitcoin to rise to your desired amount, then cash out big time.
Trading “futures” with higher capital without “Leverage”?

How is this possible? or, you probably meant trading spot?
I can't imagine any scenario where one can trade futures contracts minus applying leverage. Even if it's 1x, there is still leverage involved and the position will also have a liquidation price.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does the CHIA (XCH) coin still have growth potential? on: January 14, 2024, 11:52:59 PM
I don't think they will ever go past their previous all-time high. With all the renewable green coins hype gone, you should have cut your losses and sold the coins back then when the price was still high. I remember saying somewhere probably about over a year ago that the CHIA coins price would continue to go on a downtrend in the future.

It was all most about hype. Nothing else.
296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage - how to do it? on: January 14, 2024, 11:24:34 PM
If you want to keep money in your account, then you would have to do triangular arbitrage trading. Manually, this is technically impossible as you will be competing with bots. The only popular bot I mostly hear about is gunbot, but they say that their arbitrage tool is not yet open to the public (https://gunthy.org/bitrage). They are still in beta testing phase.

You would also have to pick up and exchange with very low trading fee or have a very high trading volume so that you enjoy those VIPs tier lowered fee benefits.

To be honest. I did try arbitrage trading back then (manually, of course). It was so hectic and unprofitable.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you can build trust in the crypto community? on: January 14, 2024, 10:49:32 PM
Trust is something very fragile, and It takes a lot of time, commitment, and resources to build it but just seconds to ruin it. Crypto is mostly about transparency, without it, then you will have veruy hard time building trust here.

Make sure you are honest and transparent about anything about your project.

Also ensure you have proper customer support that is very helpful to clients.
298  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org - SCAMMERS CONFIRMED - Pending Litigation on: January 13, 2024, 11:58:51 PM
Yes, I understand this. But maybe someone already had some sort a court verdict or something similar? Any chance to get money back this way?
I have never seen any form of court battles from the victims. What I have mostly seen is them taking the war to the forums and social media like Reddit or twitter. Often times, if the complaint or tweet went viral, they (free wallet scammers) would be forced to get out their cave and act.

A perfect example was when they tried to block Elon Musk's funds, and he went out and posted about what had happened on Twitter  Grin
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Introducing Return Pro: Your Gateway to Cross-chain Stablecoin Staking Yields on: January 13, 2024, 11:17:08 PM
1. What shows that “Return Finance UAB is a registered Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) Registration No. 306264593” I don't seem to see any of this information anywhere else.

2. The ratings about your app on Google play do not seem to give any confidence to any potential users. 1.3 stars is as bad as it gets
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LISTING ON UNITED STATE CRYPTOCURRENCY EXCHANGE on: January 13, 2024, 10:50:42 PM
Trying to read your terms of service, yours has got to be the shortest terms of service I have every read. But seriously, who created your ToS? They did a very poor job. No proper text justification at all.

Secondly, what is your exchange's relationship with Coinbase pro?
Is FMCPay.us also one of your domains?
