Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the currencies in the movie are Bitcoin?

We will surely continue to see movies with some plot and scenes about bitcoin as it becomes more popular, just as it happened when other technologies began their boom. In particular, it gives me a lot of emotion to know about these films and that the big industries give us recognition as a community. Bitcoin has become popular with all segments of the population and not just with industry experts. Millions of people use Bitcoin on a daily basis for payments and blockchain for secure transactions and contracts. And that is why the film industry is so interested in this topic. https://cointelegraph.com/news/hollywood-movies-bitcoinJanuary 26, 2016

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin

It is true that we notice that in our communities and country very few people and businesses know about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Unfortunately in some countries there is repression by the authorities that prohibit their citizens from using them. The opposite thing happens in other countries and we could say that they are bitcoin and cryptocurrency friendly countries. However, mass adoption is yet to come. I have done a little search and found this interesting statistic. Global Crypto Adoption Cryptocurrency adoption is growing around the world. As a leading cryptocurrency payments company, we strive to offer key statistics to help businesses better understand the cryptocurrency market—how you can reach untapped markets and grow your business. As of 2021, we estimated global crypto ownership rates at an average of 3.9%, with over 300 million crypto users worldwide. And over 18,000 businesses are already accepting cryptocurrency payments. Over 300+ million crypto users worldwide. North America - 28 million. South America - 24 million. Europe - 38 million. Africa - 32 million. Asia - 160 million. Oceania - 1 million. https://triple-a.io/crypto-ownership/

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some interesting ways you've introduced bitcoin to your friends?

Thanks OP for your post! It is nice and funny. The strategies you have used to teach your friends about bitcoin have the characteristics of making it easy. What better way to learn with someone who has experience. I could also teach my friends and family about bitcoin with the tools I use and also tell them that there are a variety of alternatives for buying, selling and sending bitcoin. I love the Binance app and P2P. It is an app suitable for beginners and advanced users.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Beach El Salvador - facts please ?
|
on: July 05, 2021, 05:43:52 AM

I have never visited El Salvador but I have found some tweets from people who went to El Salvador to know first hand how things were happening. I have also noticed that the Bitcoin beach Twitter account has multimedia content to get an idea of how they relate to things with bitcoin such as sending transactions, among others. This Strike tweet caught my attention because it made an announcement to integrate a Bitcoin core developer for the El Salvador project.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to?

on: July 03, 2021, 11:58:42 PM

When I carry out online transactions I always do so because I cannot find the item in my city or because the price difference is notable. I always do it on reputable websites and sellers with reputation. If in my city I accepted bitcoin or any crypto as a means of payment to pay without fees or low fees to buy any item, I would certainly use bitcoin.
As we have always stated, the usability problem of bitcoin is scalability and fees. But fortunately we have the lightning network, we are going to wait how it works for the country of El Salvador with the use of bitcoin, which in my opinion will be positive for mass adoption.

It is obvious that we feel excitement since the country of El Salvador accepted bitcoin as a legal tender. We have also noticed that other countries in Latin America have shown interest in following in his footsteps. But I think it will be something as spontaneous as what is happening with business owners and industries such as a Spanish Brewery called Cerex: 🇪🇸

I would always have bitcoin in my wallet, I could have up to three altcoins, no more because it overwhelms me so many coins. Bitcoin despite its volatility has shown strength and credibility over time. Traders use bitcoin in many ways, other classes of investors think of bitcoin as a long-term investment. I am convinced that bitcoin will bring prosperity to populations around the world.

Hodl will depend until you decide. Everyone has a purpose with their bitcoin for my part I have proposed to use it to pay for the University of my underage nephew and niece. I also do it as an experiment taking into account that I live in a country with hyperinflation and economic conditions that can influence the process of hodl my bitcoin. I am not anxious to press the button, I am only interested in knowing how this new stage of bitcoin develops.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Article: The Craig Wright May 2016 Signing Sessions Debacle, In Full Context
|
on: July 03, 2021, 12:13:29 AM

Done! I voted for your poll on Twitter. Of course, Craig Wright is fake. In all the opportunities that he has had, he has not been able to prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, on the contrary, he shows that he has some psychological disorder. While the list of addresses was quickly resealed by the Kleiman legal team, it still exists on Court Listener and looks to have provided a means for another individual to identify a number of addresses they in fact hold the keys to. That, in turn, enabled them to sign a message with the bitcoin keys. It reads: "Craig Steven Wright is a liar and a fraud. He doesn't have the keys used to sign this message. The Lightning Network is a significant achievement. However, we need to continue work on improving on-chain capacity. Unfortunately, the solution is not to just change a constant in the code or to allow powerful participants to force out others. We are all Satoshi." https://www.coindesk.com/craig-wright-called-fraud-message-signed-bitcoin-addresses-satoshi

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's game plan
|

This summary is to understand why China does not want bitcoin as a competition to its Digital Yuan. It is as some members say is to bring e-CNY to the minds of people in China and erase bitcoin at a stroke. Being the first major economy worldwide to launch a digital currency says it all. Although e-CNY is still a pilot plan, China is adding all its efforts to carry out its purpose with its digital currency. In April, China became the first major economy worldwide to launch a digital currency known as the ‘digital yuan’ or ‘e-CNY.’ It’s the most advanced CBDC project by a major economy. The electronic currency is issued by the PBoC, but distributed by commercial banks and digital payments platforms run by China’s Big Tech firms. In May, Alipay — the country’s largest mobile payments platform with over 1.3 billion users — added the e-CNY to its platform. However, the digital yuan is only enabled for some users since the currency is still in a pilot phase. https://www.google.com/amp/s/fortune.com/2021/06/20/digital-currency-asia-hong-kong-singapore-cambodia-korea/amp/

Thanks, OP for your Post. I was interested in learning about the dispute over why Binance has been banned in the UK. After reading the following articles, my doubts were clarified. There will be a lot of speculation about it but if Binance meets all the requirements he will become accepted into the FCA. As we can see, Binance has always shown transparency in each process that we do not have to worry about.

These inconsistencies in the economy are opening the opportunity for others in the markets. Taking as an example the iPhone phone that its biggest competitors tend to offer cheaper phones like Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei among others.
Not everything is bad, despite everything the global economy benefits by opening jobs to meet the demands.

Economy / Economics / Re: When everybody tell you take take risk with money
|
on: July 02, 2021, 05:04:13 PM

Money was created to make it easier for us to own asset (s). One of the best features is that it is portable, you can take it everywhere either in amounts acceptable by law or by means of a card and in our time through a hardware or mobile wallet. If one day death gives its warning to a rich man and if he had plans with that money, it could no longer be. At least his money is inherited by his relatives and if he had no family, the money is lost.
It is the reason that I think that money is not more important than life, you have to know how to live and be happy. When we take risks, we do so with all conviction and if we are successful and fail, the fact will always be valid.

|
on: July 02, 2021, 04:01:42 PM

I do not know how true it is that Covid19 enriched the majority. In relation to the prices of basic products downward as an example in my country I do not think it is possible because they have never downward, the opposite they always rise. With regard to Covid19, experts advise that the world population needs to be vaccinated to gain immunity to face the virus now that a new variant is more contagious. In summary I can think that the prices of goods and services will continue to upward.

It is certainly not easy to convince people to invest in bitcoin and explain the risks of volatility and its benefits. As some analysis on bitcoin shows. They say it is still in infancy.
I have also perceived the hatred of bitcoin, we are at an extreme between bitcoin and the shitcoins that abound everywhere. While the price of bitcoin is shown ATH all altcoins also win the moment, Bitcoin is the leader and the King.
As long as we trust in the principles of bitcoin we can take it where we want, in the union is the force as the popular saying of crowds.

Fortunately, bitcoin can be used for various forms of investment either in the short, medium and long term because each person has a purpose for it. IMO, bitcoin will have more everyday use very soon. As developers create more user-friendly apps. Bitcoin is becoming more known in the world by changing the way we handle money.
We are all clear that owning bitcoin is better than keeping money in the bank, so selling it for fiat will make us see why it is better to hodl when we want to maintain capital. Obviously you can sell a percentage for your needs.

on: July 01, 2021, 08:44:18 PM

I think this year will be important for the Lightning network, Jack Mallers is building an incredible App with Strike. He recently published this tweet with the news that the App will have zero fees when its users buy bitcoin. Also all the eyes of the world are waiting when the bitcoin law begins to rule in El Salvador because the government app called Chivo is built by Jack Mallers using the Lightning network. More Latin American countries want to follow El Salvador's step and celebrate its success, surely there will be more work for Jack Mallers building apps that adapt to the needs of each of these nations.
