Every ICO needs to go on the process of KYC. To protect their platform from illegal transactions by terrorists or any kind of bad intentions using the platform and I think their move to have KYC is good.

You could try to ask about your concern in their telegram group. There, the devs or admins will response more quickly and they can address your concern with the Velox project.

For a blockchain, although it is for games, I think they actually have fast progress if they can already launch a game on their platform or maybe a showcase of what they have developed so far.
