everything is flying, refereum is biting dust on high volume ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just another shitcoin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

VTR be delisted is a danger signal for GEO. Because There are something similar such as low volume ,  big drop ,  weak community and little progress. Sad

Weak community? This thread generates more posts than big ones such as ETN or Substratum (neither are my favorite, but I like to peak there ones in a while); not to mention active discord.

Whole crypto suffered a lot throughout past half year, especially smaller coins, no wonder it has trouble picking back up with little to no marketing unlike bigger coins do. And I would strongly argue with little progress as Weifa is working round the clock and it's displayed with regular updates, seems like we are getting close to have our "coin map" back up and hopefully phone apps soon to follow.

I do not fear bittrex delist, developers stay true to their plan and Geo did pass Bittrex audit half a year ago.

Plenty of great ideas circling the forum, can't wait to see it in action.
Not a big fan of insects, squash as many as possible! Keep it going Weifa, great job Smiley

Great to see development move forward. Market is also starting to look slightly more optimistic, can't wait to see where we will be at the end of the year Smiley

Well done Weifa, glad to see things progress and you in an uplifted mood Smiley

Ubiq, Qwark and 10grans were added to the latest version of the Bisq Network decentralized exchange.  Looks like GeoCoin is supported as well!

https://twitter.com/ubiqsmart/status/1001712900111781888

I was able to finish off debugging all the connections for our new optimized geocashing server.  Happy to announce that the migration is now complete!  Cool

https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1003350557262692352

Last news are very good.

It is good that GEO was added to new market.
I looked Bisq here https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bisq/
And can't find there Ubiq and its tokens in their list.
Also whole Bisq have a daily volume less than 1 BTC...
What about adding Geo to new big markets? Or it will remain forever Bittrex coin?

Also nice to hear that you one step closer to release app. Thanks for great job!
You can find mention of GeoCoin as well as Ubiq, Qwark and 10grans listed under the Assets section of their latest release: https://github.com/bisq-network/bisq-desktop/releases

I updated the exchanges list at the very bottom of our info website http://geo.money to include all 5 choices so far.  What other exchanges do you guys think we should aim for?

I don't really think we are in huge need of new exchange, bittrex is a great exchange and fact we are on it is incredible, hope it stays that way despite low volume. If I was to list something it would be great to go on Binance or Einstein exchange, with the latter there are some connections through Ubiq founders if I'm not mistaken.

Imo all Geo needs now is consistance in development and time. Maybe when we are closer to the release prepare a statement with anticipate release date and key features of the project, post on SM and send it out to news outlets such as coindesk, cointelegraph, cryptonews etc. With plenty of use cases, unique features and potentially some marketing materials it should be interesting and easy for a journalist to prepare interesting story/news. Meanwhile stay positive and don't pay too much attention to markets, our time will come.

Hi,

I transferred some GEO coins from one exchange to another. However, the Tx does not appear on the chain. If I got it right, there was a chain swap?
Apparently, on exchange still use the old chain (https://etherscan.io/token/0xfa95646aec63d22ffaecdd49cc1efdf5ae37c911?a=), while the other exchange may use the new one (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/geo/).

I saw a post on the GEO twitter, that they process the swap claims manually or something...

Anybody has an idea what I should do now to have the coins transferred?

Thnx

Geo in January had a switch to a new blockchain. The 1st link is some different coin, it's supply is 20milion and last transactions occured over 30 days ago. 2nd link (chainz) is part of old blockchain that is developer abandonded and coins from that chain can only be manually swapped with developers if coins were present on the wallet before the swap occured - therefore transfering old coins to a wallet and requesting manual swap is not going to be honored.

Only official exchanges trading Geo coins are Bittrex and Cryptopia, recently there were rumors of other exchanges offering Geo, but it has not been fully confirmed yet. Yobit used to trade Geocoin, but they did not participate in the swap and they remained trading old coin, those are worthless as they cannot be swapped.

As Geo is part of Ubiq network it uses it's block explorer - https://ubiqscan.io/contract/0x500684ce0d4f04abedff3e54fcf8acc5e6cfc4bd

Well looks like the dumping is in full effect already and Bitcoin hasn't even made a big swing yet, this could get ugly. If Bitcoin shoots up to 10 or 11k I think GEO is going to struggle to hold 20k satoshi.

3-4btc volume crashed the price by more than 10%. We are dealing with some peanut traders here and soon should have them off board Smiley
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: April 14, 2018, 07:30:13 PM
Looks like that is the end of the rise and interest from the news. Back under 30k within the coming hours?

if in your opinion Geo is worth 30k satoshi and it's going under - you are welcome to sell. It's your choice.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: March 16, 2018, 03:15:51 PM
I also have some coins on yobit. So what have I to do with them now? For what reason Yobit didn't support a swap? Usually they did it. For example, they provided swap of PACcoin recently. Do you mean that all of GEO coins remaining on Yobit exchange cost nothing now?

Ask Yobit, pre-swap there were numerous requests by Geo developers to the exchanges - Bittrex, Cryptopia, Yobit for the swap support. Yobit did not reply and kept the old market; since it's their website they can do whatever they like. Meanwhile Geo devs announced that Yobit coins are obsolete as they were not transfered to the new blockchain.

All coins are worth what others are willing to pay for it, maybe somebody sees value in an old blockchain without developer.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: March 05, 2018, 07:03:31 PM
I hope the devs have some good news to save an incoming massive selloff.

At least there is option to potentially buy at 5k sat in the coming weeks. I think it will go down more than anyone expects before it goes up again. I don't think it will be above 30k for at least 6 months now.

Talking price wise sub-20k is inevitable, but 5k would be real bargin imo, I don't think we will get to that unless bitcoin goes above 20k$. But I disagree with part about having to wait 6 months for >30k, I think we will see it as soon as CMC updates all information, but likely will fall soon after.

The reason I say this is that soon Bitcoin may explode. This will likely leave all alts that are currently in a slow development stage dumped completely, if BTC goes higher than $20k in next few months we may see GEO at much lower than 5k sat. I think it is probably more likely Bitcoin explodes than GEO have big news currently but this is just my opinion as I do not know what the devs plan for GEO is in the short-term. With current news there is zero buy pressure, only sellers.

A finished GEO and headlines will be in every newspaper about the hype of it but that does not stop it going to 1k sat first in a booming Bitcoin market in a worse case scenario for GEO investors.

I totally agree with you regarding how Geo will react to strong bitcoin, but I really doubt we will see sub-10k levels. As much as I love Geo I am truelly worried for short-term market prospects. I mentioned few weeks before that Geo needs more clarity about the project as new investors still have little clue what they bought into.

Let's see where future takes us, Geo is great for long run, but there is also high risk of substitute projects if things don't move fast enough/do not attract market awareness; if an 'ICO' copy of Geo emerged we would be in deep trouble.

, my friend, watch and see  my old messages and take a look at the geocoin prices

regards!

I totally agree with you, but if you check yearly graph - in summer it settled rested around 0.5$ per coins, autumn 1$ and now we oscilate 2.0-3$ which could mean we found ground here or there may be more small drops.

There is some development to be done with Geo so it has time to grow to values you or others mentioned before.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: February 28, 2018, 02:00:07 AM
nothing, no idea All that is technical analysis of the graph

price will drop? show me how

watch and see :| Price 150k 6 weeks ago will it be 5k in 6 weeks from now? project value will not change until pump and dump like always :|

Imo it may drop, but overall we should be heading upwards in the long run. I doubt we will see Geo below 1$ in coming 1-2 months as we did in autumn, but I'd not be too surprised with something in range of 1.5-2$. Time will tell.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: February 22, 2018, 12:50:02 AM
wow, price dropped ruefully, it's only left to wait this project to get new wave of popularity

And price action is super sad. I wished to believe this is solid project without price fluctuations resembling bitconnect...

It is not a big achievement to issue an ERC20 token, yet I feel like we've been hyping "swap" for past half a year. I am really worried how long will it take to do real development work when systems such as 'Geo withdrawal method' in the new app (ubiq network takes payments in Ubiq therefore anyone withdrawing from application has to pay in 'Ubiq' for the transaction fee, makes it complicated for the network as it seems devs will need a pool of 'ubiqs' to power it, question is who will pay for those?).

Those things are complicated and if it took us 6 months to go through set up of ERC20 token I am really scared about the future develpment parts. But at this point there is not much we can do, just hodl and pray we will be able to dump out in the future Wink

I am still ahead considering swing trading over past 2 months, but I really thought this has different base.

It does suck the price coming down this hard after reaching a huge 150k sat ATH, I am certain it will hit that again and higher in the future. Obviously impossible to say when, could be bagholding for a few months to a year or two. At least we aren't stuck holding some shit coin or a scam, GEO has so much potential and I think it will skyrocket to much higher than we have seen within the next couple years.

I know 150k sat is matter of time, even cryptopia's levels of 260k (litecoin/dogecoin markets went upwards [in equivalence] of 500k satoshi) are achievable within some time. Just expressed personal opinion on possible time frames of the project and market action which makes it look like a classic p&d scheme.

Imo project needs more clarify for people already invested in it to understand what is the purpose of Geo coin in the long run - many questions arise in forms of "when will I get my Ubiq coins?" or not aware what are the next development stages for Geo. Most of crypto projects will not deliver their "product" releases in 2018 or 2019, yet they openly talk about what is meant to be delivered, no marketing (ex. paid ads, articles in main websites), just clear vision with steps that need to be taken.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: February 20, 2018, 01:29:18 PM
Worst part for me is that there is no sense of urgency or need to market the project even... In theory this coin lost x15 times in value over past month, looks like one of worst crypto scams and yet no one is in a rush or worried about that. Sad.

ps. i understand not marketing something that has nothing new completed, but that's a different issue...

Doesn't surprise me, but concerns. Things are not moving fast and likely we will see the app released in a year or two with way things are. Swap was expected to happen since August, yet network itself was created in last days of January.

Now we are progressing with connecting backend map with new wallet, but could it not have been done while we knew swap was going to take place? Now we will probably have 1-2 months of experimentation with the network, then 2-3 months of connecting wallet backend with new interface, 2-3 months debugging, 2-3 beta.. etc etc. If things happened simultaniously this would actually have strong base to work, but not when they progress one after another...

GEO Txs:  https://ubiqscan.io/contract/0x500684ce0d4f04abedff3e54fcf8acc5e6cfc4bd?node=mainnet1

Isn't this the old block-chain?  (That supposedly ended at Block 1,568,125... now showing 1,600,000+)
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/geo/

It appears to be live still; aren't these guys wasting there time?

Yeah, https://chainz.cryptoid.info/geo/, is the explorer for the old network that still exists, but all the newly minted coins cannot be swapped for the new token as balances had to be present at time of snapshot block. Explorer was paid until mid-2018 so it will likely still track and display the network. I may be wrong, but old network will probably exist "infinitely" as there is no way to recall old blockchain.

And yes, you're right that they are wasting their time and we will likely have angry people coming over to this channel to requests swaps, but there is no way to reach out to everyone on the internet. Miners should be aware of what they are mining, just as investors should be aware of what they invest in.

help the developers, I have on the exchange YOBIT.NET left coin geocoin 10,000, what do I do with them and where they are displayed. help the good people, how can I withdraw them

Yobit did not participate in the swap therefore all coins on yobit are not part of Geo Coin network anymore. There were multiple announcements not to buy Geo coins on yobit and to transfer out your yobit funds before 25th of January.
