41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple hitting a few ripples after Coinbase announcement, what do you think? on: January 05, 2018, 02:18:02 PM
This is just another FOMO gaming i sold my XRP at $2 and from 5btc it gave me 5Obtcs in return, good decision i dumped it earlier!

Wow 50btcs!! lol that's so much but I guess at that level little gains still mean big $ profit if you would have held to 3 that would have been amazing, if it drops closer to 2 or 2.50 I think I would attempt to get back into it but until then I am avoiding

Just relax, xrp will be listed on Coinbase. Just not now. In fact Brian said no coin is added in a short term. That could be very short.

Besides over 3 dollar without coinbase. Its a solid company.

Yeah I am staying away but at the same time I was thinking the same thing, it has grown decently without the coin base adding it. Im sure if it keeps dumping more people will get it anticipating a huge pump after its corrected.

I would be carful with Ripple my friends, if you buy get it after the drop, I am staying away from it. checkout my topic and chime in! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2694661.0

I always figured XRP was hyped up a bit to much with unreal gains, after the rumors over the past week of adding it to coinbase finally coinbase responds! What do you think? That market cap drop is insane!!

The two coins taht have been getting a lot of media attention these days are Ripple and Litecoin, I have had my friends and family ask me about it, for me these are a definite no.

May I respectably ask why not Litecoin? I like Litecoin but I am always open to different point of views.

XRP- too much hype, not enough backbone
BCH- Still overvalued in my opinion by ALOT
SNC-probably the most hyped up coin I have seen in the last few months of 2017.

SNC?
Really? It has a working product. PowerLedger, its competitor has no working product and is 20x the market cap of SunContract.
You're funny. But it also shows that you have no insight in the project and its competitors.

Yes SNC, didn't say it was junk or scam coin I said it was hyped up the last few months. I have been a long term holder since July and tons of other coins have outperformed it, its not worthless but not worth some of the hype, I am a day trader and do lots of trading and generally do not like to hold more than a month. It shows you can't properly understand a simple statement and I am aware of the projects and competitors.

The thread is about overvalued coins. Not about day trading.
I never mentioned anything about it being a junk or scam coin.
SNC is not overvalued. You're spreading false information.

Its not false information just as other people in here have different opinions for different coins, maybe you are satoshi himself since you know so much. I respect anyones opinion but not disrespect, and sorry but I will continue to get help and advice from big day traders and long term crypto gods that are pretty important to our community lol if you only had a idea. Your first reply shows the type of person you are. SNC has been overvalued the past few months end of story, take a look at any chart and facts its plain and simple, if you dont like my opinion then respectably keep it moving, I could be wrong/you could be wrong, stop junking the thread up.

RaiBlocks, Verge, and basically any other coin that went super parabolic in the past few weeks.

Yes, the golden rule is to avoid coins which already just went parabolic. Including Ripple and Stellar by the way, which have reached surreal heights.

I agree with the surreal heights of XRP, I was really surprised to see the amount of continued gains this morning. I think it will continue to rise especially once coinbase adds it then will pop but we will see.

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: January 03, 2018, 07:52:27 PM
I really enjoyed HITBTC's demo program they have, I would use that for a few weeks to get a hang then go over to other exchanges that such as Bittrex or Polionex because they are safer and have better support. I have lost coins in the past with Hitbtc and did not like how they responded to me so I vote to stay away from that one even though it has a attractive interface.
HITBTC is a rip off! I mean they take away fixed amount of tokens at the time of withdrawal. I just had to pay 170 MSP tokens to make my withdrawal to my private wallet. Also all the trading is so shady over there, looks like its bots working most of the time.

I agree the only thing they have going good for them is their demo program that I think is the best demo and helps you can't lose anything. I wouldn't put 1$ into them, I am surprised they have never been shutdown yet

I honestly have had no problems with Bittrex or Poloniex and would recommend them as you have 2 step verification setup for every login in, never stay logged in, and a password that is changed on a regular basis. I have had many issues with HitBTC and would not recommend them for anything other than their demo that actually can help you get pretty good at trading.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn a million dollar on: January 03, 2018, 06:14:03 PM
Hey guys just be cautious and vigillant with these channels, most of them are scams and few are legit.

I agree, that's why I prefer to just do the research myself and keep up on crypto news. It is much more effective than any channel or signal program I have ever used, I may be lucky though lol
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 03, 2018, 03:37:15 PM
Nope I do not think it will reach half of the value of BTC right now, I just don't see how its possible. Gains and profits are definitely to be made though from long term holding and trading. Most may see that as bad but honestly its a nice reliable low and slow coin.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple on Coinbase? on: January 03, 2018, 03:30:56 PM
Then they better become a trading website too.  Grin
It aint a wallet anymore if that happens.
Many have reacted when they added ethereum in their side and now this.
This could be chaos again or maybe more. It could be hell.

If I am the coinbase owner I wont do that. They will be losing more users again.

That's what I am saying bro, they are heading down the road that is pretty much pointless to say its a wallet if they keep adding more coins regardless of popularity. And I dislike the fact that it increases the amount of newbie investor and traders that do not understand cryptocurrency at all or how it works. So many people in my town are complaining about how they downloaded coinbase and put their savings and 401k into BCH when it was 4,000USD now they are still out 50% even weeks later, that makes for crybabies that can possibly turn into a big thing that I don't want. I prefer lowkey type of things.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: January 03, 2018, 03:25:14 PM
DIM has been treating me very very good the past few days, its so cheap and the pumps and dumps are pretty profitable. A few of my other favorites are XMR, XRP, STORM, and ETH. I am a daytrader so I do not hold very long although looking at the charts of these in the past few months have done pretty good aside from DIM but that's because its on the way back up alittle.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Advice on: January 03, 2018, 02:59:27 PM
Hi all and happy new year.

I am looking to invest £1000 in altcoins. How should I diversify and how should I split my purchases? Any suggestions and valid points on which altcoins to invest would be much appreciated from experienced traders. I am looking at holding until at least 2020.

Best wishes

Your best bet will be to surf the forum daily for coin updates and what other folks are saying about them and most importantly check Crypto news on a daily basis, just keeping up with the news alone has really advanced my trading skills over the past year. Also be sure you always have the best password and 2 step verification methods you can have for your wallets and exchanges to make sure you don't get scammed. Best of luck to you.

Proceed with caution with this guy I wouldn't trust him, its been months and I have not got my themes or even a private message reply back. He says that I selected the wrong item box during checkout and that I would have to go through some type of support that's not through him but at the same time told me he had the themes that I wanted on his drive, he has had the money. His last reply was November 9th to me and its obvious hes been online since then. #scammer
