Dear STRAKS holders,
Please update ALL wallets, especially Masternodes, to the most recent release: 1.14.7.5
PPA packages are available, and currently the preferred approach in distributing binaries:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install straksd
Windows wallets are available. You can also compile from source, if you are so inclined.
The update provides a interim fix to a bug in the Masternode payment code, which will activate after block 649620, which is less than 24 hours away. A rogue miner is running custom code to exploit the fact that MN payments can go down to zero as a result of the rebalancing process. You are asked to update as soon as possible to avoid being on the wrong chain, as this release may result in a fork.
If your node fails to sync on update or after block 649620, and your log file has rejected block error messages, you will need to clear your STRAKS state directory (e.g. .straks dir on linux), retaining your config files and wallet.dat files. Upon restarting, your node should sync as expected (but may take time).

We are glad to announce that we finally offer bounty rewards for the following activities. YOUTUBE50 to 500 STAK depending on quality of video submitted. The description of the video must include a link to the STRAKS website, STRAKS official social media channels and at least one of the cryptocurrency exchange sites it is currently hosted on. Video must be at least one minute and thirty seconds long and must include voice over. Your channel must be at least 2 months old. This bounty is limited to a maximum of 50 users. REDDITReddit is a crucial building block of the STRAKS community to stimulate engagement. Please see the reward plan below. These must not be simple one-liner comments nor posts. They must work to engage community and communication. Posts and comments can either be in STRAKS' own community or any cryptocurrency related channel. - 2 STAK for post or comment with Karma greater than 5
- 3 STAK for post or comment with Karma greater than 10
- 5 STAK for post or comment with Karma greater than 50
STEEMIT or MEDIUMWrite content about STRAKS in some capacity and earn rewards as per below. We appreciate that the numerous delays of recent in listing STRAKS on HitBTC is not acceptable or good business practice. However, we stress that the notion of “best practice” can only be loosely applied in the cryptocurrency sector due to the sector’s rapidly developing nature. Standards are being drafted, disclosure requirements and extensive regulations are on the horizon, and the entire cryptocurrency community is playing its part in driving for higher standards. To the latter, we encourage the STRAKS' community to continue to exercise professionalism and patience, and foremost to encourage better standards whilst adhering to - and thus promoting - well established business etiquettes.
We can confirm that we were in active and lengthy discussions with HitBTC in relation to concessions as a result of the delays, and to push for prioritization in listing STRAKS. HitBTC's rational and commendable approach in addressing the issues highlighted allows for an excellent platform to build a valuable and mutually beneficial relationship. The exact details of the concessions and "new" agreement will not be disseminated due to competitive and confidentiality reasons. Note, however, that the nature and higher nominal value of the agreement will become very apparent, to the discerning eye, over the coming days.
It is with great pleasure to announce that STRAKS will be listed on HitBTC on 21st May 2018.

Following extensive internal discussions and the resolution of various key issues, we are pleased to announce that STRAKS is looking to expand and add new brand management, marketing and public relations people to the team. In total we are targeting five to six new members.

Our existing moderator, PROXIMUS, will now fall under the umbrella of Community Moderator and Public Relations, and two additional members of the community have been selected unanimously for a total headcount of three for the Community Moderators and Public Relations role. 1. Initial shortlist based off interest and fit
2. Internal discussion and views on short listed candidates
3. Very very brief Q&A session with the candidate
