Ethereum gas fees were also cheap back then, but look at them now it's hilariously expensive. It's because of so many people using it, so many projects built their projects above ethereum and the popularity of DeFi. Probably, it's what exactly happen with BSC now. Many people and developers switch off to BSC because of the crazy fee of ethereum. I think the Binance NFT marketplace also contributed to this.

First thing first, we should really prepare our minds for the upcoming bear market cause it can lead to a winter season. We can't be weak. So, my plan for the upcoming bear market is to cash out to fiat for all of my assets, doing other things that I can do in the crypto world like airdrop and bounty while probably buying here and there, relaxing, and then waiting for the market to recover or even bull market come.

I faced the same issue as you but the difference is my transaction was pending for 3 days and I can't stand it then I decided to cancel it with additional fees of course lol. However, we can't do anything about it for now. Take it or leave it. If it's really urgent to do some transaction with ethereum then be it.

However, I'm confused about the smart contract mechanism. Probably one of you could help me. A project claimed that they distributed airdrop and bounty rewards using their dAPP (smart contract) and set the gas fee at 60-ish gwei. So, if the gas fee touches that point, the rewards will be distributed automatically. But, yesterday the gas fee even touched 53 gwei but nothing happened. What's actually happened? and how the mechanism should be?.
