Not everyone has internet connection that is why goverment will protect paper money as long as they could do that. For me in next 20 years crypto will be used at the same level like paper.

After the events of last week.
I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small. Does it matter?
For me it is just matter of time when bitcoin will be the strongest, nowadays it is just trying to reach that but we are lucky ones cause our world has chance to get to that position. |

I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum
If we just eliminate everyone who makes bitcoin price fall down and start just holding it and never sell bitcoin price will go just up and be more stable imo. |

yep, dont do panic selling.
we should buy in low price and just wait for the raising!
But if lots of people do panic selling price is getting lower and lower and it make some possibilities to just invest and after that we have chance to earn by buying at those moments! |

At first I want to say: Read my post carefully and don't spam.
We all wanted high price, higher than 1000$ and got it, we got even 19k and there people were hoping more than 20K, they think like it's infinitive.
Did so high price do a good job? No, higher satoshi/byte fees became even higher in value because of price rise, some exchangers closed registration and etc. In reality there was no need of 19k but I think currently it's best to see price between 5000-8000$. There isn't so much demand.
You want high price to get much from holding? Seems you hang on bitcoin and are only selfish.
For me it doesn't mean selfish, why? Not all of us are just hodlers whose want to get as much as it is possible but for me bigger price of BTC is bigger market value which mean that all other coins will try to chase bitcoin price which leads to an overall increase in their value. |

I hope you just done it. Eth was, is and will be a coin that will be a rival for bitcoin and those two coins will compete for the first place. Personally, I always laughs at the current ethereum price cause i believe that pumps which will come soon will get it to the moon. |

That is simple, buy when down, sell when pump. No one will tell you when it will happen with 100% effectiveness but there are some moments when bitcoin just drop like now or before the end of the year (December).
Just try to find out this moment by market observation and buy btc.

Based on the news, bitcoin might hit $50000 by the end of 2018. Is this possible? If so, what are the reasons?
Of course it is possible. But it will be just after all whales will buy it as much as they can. Whales' thirst for profit is a simple and main reason of bitcoin price rising. For me it is possible only after whole bitcoin are being mined. I mean price will grow to this price and bigger after whole 21 million bitcoin will be in somebody's wallets. |

Satoshi won't show his life, his data or anything that could just lead who he exactly is cause nowadays he is one of the richest people on Earth and life which he has now most likely respond to him. |

Many many people say they are holding this, holding that for the "long term" but please tell me what exactly is your guys definition of "long term"? For me, 1 year is considered long time. I began investing this January and I will hold one year and cash out everything January 2019. So by your definition, is this more short term or long term? Is 1 year enough time to see gains?  Answering your last question even one day sometimes is enough to see gains, you could just buy some alts for 0.01 and sell them for 0.30 after one day, imagine that you bought a 1000 of them... So longterm is defined individually |
