Satoshi cashing out some Bitcoins!!! http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2bu43g/who_mined_the_bitcoin_blocks_in_the_first_three/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=712502.0The only people I know for sure mining a significant number of bitcoins blocks in the first three weeks were Satoshi and Hal Finney. Is it common knowledge by now that we know who the first early miners were? I ask because someone who mined blocks between January 29 and February 7, 2009 has been cashing them out over the past nine months. I'm curious how large the list of likely suspects is. ** EDIT ** I have an article pending on 'Let's Talk Bitcoin' which includes all of the raw data. However, here is just one example of what I'm referring to. https://blockchain.info/address/15coobWGLz5rTPPLwMqDrC848g5rSqgXX1https://blockchain.info/address/1CgrbzKje66Pcz1egaAnhr7qEGfdk9atS2https://blockchain.info/address/1KiCeqdXxzTYeq1dDUi6B1265cqFwsihzmhttps://blockchain.info/address/14pDPbeBCCn4CoNKc7YZJnJSWnqfoxf1XFMined January 30, 2009 then February 4, 2009, then February 6, 2009, then February 7, 2009. For those who do not know, the very first bitcoin block ever was mined on January 3, 2009 https://blockchain.info/block/000000000019d6689c085ae165831e934ff763ae46a2a6c172b3f1b60a8ce26fThe second one wasn't mined until 6 days later on January 9, 2009: https://blockchain.info/block/00000000839a8e6886ab5951d76f411475428afc90947ee320161bbf18eb6048So, any blocks from January 30th are absurdly early in this history of the blockchain and only a handful of people could be responsible for this! These begin with block #2400!! All spent/transferred within minutes on February 6, 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And these aren't the only very, very, very, early bitcoin blocks which have been redeemed. There have been a series of them, which is included in the data when the article gets published. So now we know that the million Bitcoin is not lost and the guy still have control of the wallet, the next thing we need to know is if he will be selling some of that million and how, when and to where otherwise to whom (we might know who is satoshi at the end). i guess he saw the end of bitcoin bubble is very close now, last chance to sell better than nothing Really bad attempt at spreading FUD looks like you spent a lot of time doing that too..

I haven't tried adf.ly and have always seen people using it but instead I thought using coinurl would be the better choice because it pays in Bitcoin but I never reached the minimum payout.

Actually my friend had a rather good tip for me when I was thinking about going into Bitcoin mining and that is to never have your mining setup up stairs as heat rises and it would be cooler for you to keep them at the lowest level possible he said he used to exceed 70+ temperatures and sometimes had them failing on them until he eventually stored them in his garage. I guess not a lot of people think about where to store them I don't think he had any good fans installed on them though.

Bitcoin is great, but there is infinity of place for further improvement. Im actualy sad to see so much price gain, and so little development on the coin itself, and on its infrastructure.
However, the real epic moments are yet to come, since in the following months/year many of the "if" questions will be answered, from many ban notices, to mainstream adption. If it doesnt gain/keep traction, if will huff and puff, and be forgotten like it never existed
That's true the next few months/years are the make or break point for Bitcoin it's becoming a adult and growing but as it grows it will face more and more difficult problems. I have faith in it though as we have had some major speed bumps through the last year and we have recovered maybe not fully but we are on the right track of recovering fully.

WOULD like to have? 10,000. It would be amazing. Id go around and tip everyone in a certain thread 0.1 each to 1000 people It would be awesome. Honestly I just want 1 its not much but its a goal 1 Bitcoin is certainly achievable in a small amount of time, good luck! (everyone wants 10k Bitcoins )

Not a lot of people will answer this, because the answer would make them a target for hacker attacks. My satoshi are all placed in paper wallets {Cold storage} for long term investment, when bitcoins reach $50 000 per bitcoin. The bitcoin I have online, will not even be enough to buy a round of coffee for 10 people. Well people with a lot of Bitcoin should have it on a cold wallet so there should be no problem with hack attempts and also people who say they are aiming for lets say 5 Bitcoin doesn't mean they have anywhere near that amount yet.

I think at some point those coins will move. I can't see sitting on that much potential wealth and never moving it. I think if and when they do move it would cause a bit of a panic. If they never move then the owner is a better man then I.
I think it would be incredible if they never move it really shows that satoshi actually cared about the project and removes the possibility of people calling it out as a scam for the creator to earn a quick buck.

Very true. I'll always keep a tab up on my PC with this account logged in and Vod's latest up, to always remind everyone what he's done and what kind of person he is.
He's got the red trust he leaves everyone. I've got my persistance and sense of justice. I can do just as much harm to him as he tries to do to me and I most certainly will.
I won't ever stop pursuing him until he's reversed everything (which he wont). Even if I get him put in prison for the extortion, I'll still be here telling stories about what he did.
So, you're right!
I know you've been told this before... but the only members who leave Vod negative trust are the ones that he busted. And I'm not saying you were busted - all I'm saying is that's what people will think. In other words, they won't take your recommendation seriously. He already has a shit load of red text in his trust profile, get in line. But how many are actually from members who have positive trust? Thanks Chris, this is exactly why I have to follow him around, PM people, post links, screenshots and quotes to make people understand. So it may seem like I'm going overboard when in reality it's a fucked up trust system. He posts an unfounded / false negative on me (I'm sure I'm not his first victim simply by the way he's acted here), everyone see's it because there are some members that added him to the default trust circle because they thought he had good intentions (which he may fully have had at one point). My only point here has been and remains that his intensions where not that in my case. I've proven it over and over. Maybe the guy was legit up until he did this to me (I doubt it but I'll acknowledge that it's possible), even doing this to one person, lying about it, extorting him, reverses Every Good Deed he has done here, and then some. You go around donating to charities and serving soup to the homeless, does not get you a free pass to rob a bank, which is what a couple of idiots think around here. I'm not having it, plain and simple. I'm very defensive because I was the one attacked, if you can't understand that then you're not being realistic. The attacks have gotten more and more below the belt. I'm just a guy that had a business proposal he posted on this forum. Previous year and a half before that, just a contributing member and honest trader. Vod created all of this for some reason he created in his own mind that was not even true (he abandoned his old reasoning for it long ago). So you'll have to pardon me if I have a natural defensive reaction and dislike for people who speak highly of him or defend him and bash me. Imagine this: Some piece of shit steals your car, you were trying to get it back while the dude was taunting you, laughing about it and stealing more of your shit at the same time, and 3 of his asshat theif friends where telling you that asking for it back or accusing him of being a car thief was wrong, you should just let him have it and go buy another car. If you keep trying to get your car back, he's just going to steal more of your shit. You're wrong for trying to bust him and not just let him have all your shit. I'd imagine that you'd not take it well and probably lash out much like I have. If you don't like car, use girlfriend or your dog, something you give a shit about. I give a shit about my reputation and I'm not some anonymous noobie account which is what he 'normally' picks on. Vod stole my good name by labeling me as a scammer for no reason then lying about his reasoning for a week. You know he lied about it, you've seen the proof of it. You know he's been changing his story over and over, you've been following along. Fucking speak up and say something about it. Why are you letting him get away with it? I admit, I made myself look foolish at times for being furious about it and wanting justice but, think about that car reference any time you think I'm the one in the wrong. I looked at Vod's thread over at the scam accusations and he said that he removed the trust because he couldn't get proof yet you still tried going after him and then he decided to update that trust and presented evidence against you. So what are you trying to argue there?

I personally do not see many people spend their coin. Most are hoarding in hope of higher price.
Hoarding behavior is clearly not the intended goal of a currency.
But hoarding gold or silver is commonplace, so is bitcoin more like a commodity or a fiat currency? where do you guys get the idea that people don't hoard currency? have you never heard of a savings account at a bank? everyone hoards currency, unless you're broke and living paycheck to paycheck and have to spend it all. Hoarding, or saving, for shorter or longer time is the only purpose of money. There is no alternative use for it. Holding the money is the point. If nobody wants to hold it, it is not money. Then again if it isn't traded them is no reason to be holding there needs to be a healthy balance and a reason for Bitcoin without traders and people who buy things for Bitcoin it would be totally useless to everyone and therefore holding because a useless act.

...the price to go up every year
3 years from now, a much bigger group of members will be talking about the huge Rally in late 2014!Maybe it can take some months, maybe an year, but bitcoin will surely hit a new ATH sooner or later, just hold and wait for it. We can never say 'surely' as there will always be risks in Bitcoin and there will be no guarenteed result otherwise it would of already been adopted by many of the rich people in the world. It's a experiment which I think will pay off if people can hold and trade at the same time otherwise if too many hold and dont trade with it it becomes worthless.

But a lot of people run nodes on vps which are likely to be located in the US because of the mass size of the country so I don't quite understand what the point everyone is trying to get at nodes being in the US doesn't mean the US is dominating in the BItcoin world or 'control' Bitcoin.

Problem with bitcoin is that too many people are expecting insane returns in 1 month timeframe. That being said, if you are looking bitcoin as a daytrader, its going down, but in the longrun things may be different.
We have some good progres with merchants, and with infrastructure, so thats in our favor.
But this is what freaks me the most; damn useless earwax removal thingy is on comercials and all over tv, and bitcoin is away from public coverage like it has mental illnes. A little bit of advertisement effort would bring lagre inflow of fiat, but nothing is being done because there is no real bitcoin central authority that would recieve certain fee from bitcoin transactions to use it for the good of the entire network.
That's something which I think the community should pull together and fund a advertisement campaign I agree that we are out of public exposure but finding good advertisement material which isn't going to be too complicated and to long will be difficult to explain the whole of Bitcoin.

Very good idea to collaborate with the Bitcoin community and encourage people to contact their favorite retailers I have contacted a few in my time using Bitcoin and have only received two replies (If I recall accurately) but the ones that did respond stated they are looking into new payment gateways all the time and are well aware Bitcoin. I don't know whether it was the way I write the email or whether they have already looked into Bitcoin but the two that responded pretty much said the same thing.
