Wow. That was quick. $42k
322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 04, 2023, 04:44:12 AM
Cool. Have Sunday dinner and watch some NFL and miss the much-awaited passing of $40k.

Another game in about half an hour. $41k after the game?

no 42k big candle

btw you like kc or gb

I am stuck with my Jets

they lost again

Game over. I liked the Packers... young exciting team in an old-school small-market franchise that's overachieved since I was a schoolchild.

They won but it wasn't enough to put Bitcoin past $41k. Had to settle for $40888 at Stamp.

Can't complain though. ATHs are a good thing and we still have lots of time for tripling the price this year.

Go Bitcoin go.

Good morn Bitcoinland.
Another haiku Sunday
And an all year high.

Is today the day
For the next ladder rung up
And pass forty grand?

We still have four weeks
To triple the price this year
New Year's to New Years.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

After Uptober and Morevember we embark on a new month with a new AYH.

Hopefully the uptrend intensifies. We need to put a reinforced concrete roof and hurricane-proof windows and doors on our new, bigger house in Mexico. Labor is much cheaper there but the materials are only a little cheaper. We'll have to sell some corn in early January.

Luckily one of my main OTC Bitcoin exchanges also owns a chain of foreign currency exchanges. Bitcoins for pesos, nice and clean, no governments, best rates.

Go Bitcoin go.

Now that was that kind of facepalm which did quite hurt on my forehead...  Roll Eyes

Was that facepalm for a local BCT troll or a BBC-quoted Dutch moron?

Maybe a double facepalm is in order.

It's still Sunday here.
There's still time for a haiku.
Here's a simple thought:

One coin's worth one coin.
That's still one hundred million
Little satoshis.

Buy when you're able
And sell only when you must.
The need not the price.

It was dark by 5pm last night  (NJ)  which sucks.

Lawl.

You realize new Jersey is so far south that it would be in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea if it were in Europe.

If you want to talk about short winter and long summer days, check out pretty much anywhere in the most populous parts of Europe or anywhere populated in Canada. How about the great Scandanavian cities which are farther north than anywhere in the UK and on a par with Alaska, the Yukon and the NWT.

That's just the darkness though. Without the Gulf Stream that warms northern Europe all the way to Iceland, the western part of the North Atlantic does get pretty cold in the winter.

I don't feel the need to go all the way to Australia to get away from winter. The airfare to Caribbean Mexico is ridiculously cheap during tourist season and everything else is cheaper and  with less government interference.

Also Australia has its weather issues too. My niece in NSW near Sydney is a volunteer firefighter and she's dreading the upcoming bushfire season.

No place is perfect. It's best to keep moving.

You can sense the MSM's desperation right now, to keep Average Joe away from buying bitcoin and focused instead on buying useless Xmas gifts.  Roll Eyes

"Stay away from Bitcoin, because...because, CZ lawsuit! Because $115M crypto hack and Justin Sun! Because moar SEC lawsuits! Because lack of regulation! Because, SBF, because stuff!"

You forgot the part about running up your credit cards to buy the useless consumer trash. Gotta give the banksters their compound interest.

Hoping to see btc go 70k + in 2024!!

Not hugely invested in btc right now but i think if it hits the 40k mark this year thats a good entry point for me

so you rather buy at 40k+ than 37-38k?

why not get at 37 then 38 39 and 40

Some people obviously like paying a higher price.  Huh

Some people also seem to prefer taking profits in fiat currencies instead of real Bitcoin. Go figure.  Roll Eyes

All Year High, All Time High

I'm  not sure if this is correct though

That is correct.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Solidly (?) over $38k.

I love the smell of AYHs in the morning. They smell like victory.

Still a good wait for an ATH though. No problema. Soon come. Patience is a virtue.

Meanwhile, 1 bitcoin is still equal to 100,000,000 satoshis.

$38k

Back to bed.

Woke up for a piss and rehydration to see I just missed seeing an AYH.

Still shy of $38k though.

Go Bitcoin go,

It's Thanksgiving Day
For all you Americans
South of the border.

Happy football day...
That's kind that real men play
(with body contact).

It isn't Sunday
But we can still make haikus
On Wall Observer.

Dunning-Kruger?
337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: November 23, 2023, 12:30:39 AM

Is it just me that this looks like an open book?

An open order book... bids to the left, asks to the right.

The big numbers are distracting though. I would make more sense to show the last trade price instead of the last high bid and low ask.

Many people mistakenly view the bid and ask numbers as trade prices.

Or just get rid of the silly numbers altogether. Chartbuddy would be so much cleaner that way.

...listened to one unnamed influencer, which was stupid...

No kidding. Influencers should always be ignored.

~snip

Hahahahaha.. "Little weasel".. that is a good one for Homer.  I can imagine that Canada has a good number of weasels.  Can you imagine a weasel eating his daily McMuffin and trying to sip at the overly hot coffee... So cccccuuuuuttttttteee!!!!!  #nohomophobo

OMG!  That's literally what everyone, except Antisthenes' mom, calls me!

In other news, I'm having two per day at these prices but I give one of the coffees to a homeless guy who solicits alms every day at the traffic light standard near the entrance to McD's.  Actually, he isn't calling me "Little weasel" either but I imagine once the breakfast deal is over and I pass by without giving him a coffee, it wont take long for him to start.

Only a weasel would go to Mickey D's instead of Timmy's.

A big weasel.  Angry
