Heh. Right place to be for blockchain OG's.
Allthough what Chromia is about is everything else but 'old guard' - the whitepaper is well worth a read.
Chromia's relational blockchain approach is a cutting edge approach based on realistic real life requirements and parameters instead of some ideology.

Well, not surprising imo. All those systems are gonna be gamed.
Have to say I like the underlying idea, to increase quality content/reduce spam. But this behaviour you documented is exactly what I would expect as a result, and that is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
In reality it will just reinforce older privileges, lead to farming like that, and make bitcointalk less atractive for new users.

Potentially good project, but the blockchain space is filled with similar projects eIther already existing or still on pre-ICO phase. What is the unique thing that your projeCt is bringing to the blockchain space that is different from what we`vE seen or expecting? Thanks
its actually much further in development than most whitepaper ICO's, and is valued way below what others raise (2m$ marketcap). Devs are active on telegram, what it does NOT have unfortunately is any hype or people that know about it lol.

Thanks for handling this campaign very well.

Any news on aditional exchanges? What about Idex for example?
I don't like hitbtc and cryptopia tbh.

https://idex.market/eth/exyLooking forward to product release, the teased news announcement tomorrow, and bigger exchanges (which will only happen when it happens as ususal because of NDA's).

Oh, ah pump and dump coin you say?
I must have missed the pump then. And the dump as well. And the hype too now that I think about it.
Funny how perception can be so different.

it is actually listed on IDEX now, https://idex.market/eth/x8xStill not on coinmarketcap so absolutely below the radar. Will probably stay that way until closer to Q3, because this project is not about generating hype without the product being delivered (which can't be rushed for a solution like this obviously).

Definitely looking like a not shady crypto exchange. So far the team made a good impression on me.

I prefer idex.
If you are using a hw-wallet you should be fine most of the time on ED anyway, but the weak spot is the website.
The actual smart contracts are great. When their DNS server was hacked you could still withdraw everything safely through the contracts (if you are technically able to, but there's youtube videos for that). If any other exchange was hacked everyone would have been fucked probably.

I found the sweet spot for the power target is aroung 2/3rds (67%), while still overclocking a bit.
only if you care about elecricity cost though.

I dont think this centralized coin would pump ever again because only FUDs will be the reason why this coin is getting pumped, those who got FOMO from unconfirmed news would be the only people who are still putting their money to this centralized coin,if i were you i will research first so you will know why most of the people dont want to get involve with this coin.
I think it will pump again, but not so soon. It just needs some time now until a lot of fresh crypto noobs are there to buy it for a few dollars (because muh banks - its just a good story to apease "get rich quick" types), then marketmakers will pump it again to unload.

second coinmetro, will look into the others.
coinmetro seems like it could be a decent non shady crypto exchange.

It is actually being used most of all decentralized crypto's. Better hodl some of it, for sure.

No crypto-savvy eye missed Ripple’s remarkable journey in 2017. Ripple (XRP) Prices Heading For $2 In 2018 ? Is it possible
Ripple is a centralized coin and therefore has no predictable value. Value will it grow when banks and companies that stand behind it so decide, and they will fall in the same way when they decide to damp. All users who think otherwise are naive. They are small fish that swim around the sharks and only get their trash thats the way I see it as well. they can dump 1billion coins a month if they see fit. banks won't open a binance account and buy xrp from plebs there, I don't know how anyone can believe that, even if they may use Ripple Labs Tech. XRP doesn't even belong in "cryptocurrencies" forum imo.

Eos is not even released yet. It has to walk before it can run imo. Allthough it is one of the contenders, and should offer another compromise between security/decentralization and scaling than ethereum.
For a lot of dapps ethereum level decentralisation may not be needed, and the 21 fast nodes of eos will be enough.
They do have some overlap, but I expect both projects to do well.

I am more interested in actual usage / transaction statistics - does anyone have any numbers, or better yet, how is xmr adoption in the dark/grey areas of the interwebs coming along?

Trade do still work however, they are not displayed any more.
