241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Unknown fact our profitable colleagues won't tell us on: January 13, 2024, 06:52:15 PM
When you take only such trades, even though you lose 60% of your trades, you will still be profitable.
Correct me if I'm wrong but how come you're still profitable if the 60% of your trade is a lose streaks? this is so confusing.

What you've been stated is all the obvious, of course you're going to need quality trades using your experiences in trading in order to make profits, without it, I doubt that you're going to be profitable in your trading journey. Trading is all about skills and knowledge in order to be a successful trader.
You could lose 100 dollars 6 times in a row, and make 1000 dollars once and that means you are in profit? Is it like something like that? I am not really sure I do not know what OP was talking about. All in all the profits are not easy and easy at the same time, it could be easy on a bull period when the prices go up, and it is not easy when things are going down, unless you are shorting.

I have a lot of friends who made money in the last 10 days, and a lot of friends who lost money in the last 10 days. And they are not like bad vs good traders, these are all great traders, it just happens at times and we need to forget about our losses and not chase them and keep attacking what we know how to do, that would work.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 13, 2024, 04:53:53 PM
P2P orders are priced against ongoing market prices, you cannot "name your price and get away with it".

Most of the OTC deals going on are also at 10% markup. P2P dealers are not going to loss positions after selling, so you can assume the same type there too. That "Had I known" has very little effect here.

But there is also the fact that 1BTC = 1BTC, so why vary the cost when speaking in terms of USD? This is because of lack of liquidity of bitcoin compared high liquidity of fiat.
That sort of depends on the amount and the buyer/seller as well. I mean you think someone buying 1 million dollars worth of bitcoin at OTC markets would have to pay a 10% markup? Of course not, but when yo udo it for 1000 dollars, that is a very big possibility, so it all depends on the amount. If I go to someone who already is a very wealthy person, and ask to buy a million dollars worth of bitcoin that they have, they may charge me only 10 grand, they do not need much anyway, and feel like that is enough.

However, if I need to sell my coins urgently, and someone who doesn't need it, ends up taking my money would ask for a lot of markup. Whereas, if I have enough, and someone is selling urgently, like I am on the other side, I could get the markup to be much lower, even profit from it. It all depends on the situation.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 13, 2024, 02:15:54 PM
4.Learn how not to mind your own business, making every events around you your concern even when it doesn't affect you. It's a nice way to make cool enemies. Etc.
Won't make you poor but I got to tell you that this one will definitely risk you shortening your lifespan especially if you're meddling with people that are fighting, you never know if a shooting or a stabbing will happen with you getting caught in the crossfire.
Even the title itself says "how to stay poor", why would anyone wonder how to stay poor, it's easy, just spend your money on useless stuff and make a debt to get useless things and you are suddenly poor, I have done it before so I should know lol. But also, it's human life, we live only once is a cool motto at times, yes I should not have bought all those things at times, I have bought things that I used only a few times and quit all together, so I spent money so uselessly at times, but that is also a good way to live if you can keep yourself in check, it's just inevitable.

Nobody goes through life without ever spending money on a thing they should not spend, everyone does it at least once, and that is the most important thing, limit it and make sure you know what you are doing.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 13, 2024, 01:09:52 AM
This market has been speculative for years though, even since in the beginning. So we already understand how everything works, it's volatility, FOMO and what parameters affect the price. The good thing is that many of us knows how to play around and take advantage of it.

And so right now, with the whole ETF approval as 100% already, this could fuel the price to go up and ramp up before the halving. And then with the halving, it will pushes the price, and we all know that it will be the catalyst as we have seen it based on our history. So I think we can see 6 digits as our baseline for a new all time high, and it might peak at around 2025.
There are some people who deal with TA and indicators, charts and all that but there are also a lot of people who do not deal with any of that, and those people know that they are just going to end up holding and waiting out all those periods and make a profit. I am one of those people, I do not care what happens, all the volatility, all the craziness that is going on, none of that matters to me and all I do is just keep on buying and keep on waiting.

I use this as my retirement pension, so if I am right and it goes up, then I will retire wealthy, but if I am wrong and I do not make that kind of money, then I am going to end up with a lot of trouble without a doubt. That means I will retire poor, and I do not know what happens when you are too old to work and have no money.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 12, 2024, 07:01:22 AM
Lyon are not so lucky this season perhaps this season is one of there challenging season so far because they use to perform very well in there previous seasons but there performance on this season is like a club that doesn't have a target or team work because I never believe they will be on the position they are now considering there performance on the previous season, well considering there stand on the table now they should avoid relegation.

Although they still have a chance to improve on there table because the two clubs that's currently above them on the table doesn't have much of a point difference with Lyon, so perhaps this is actually a chance for Lyon to secure some good record for themselves by removing themselves from the relegation zone but although there next match against Le Havre is really going to be a tough match for them because currently Let Havre performance is more better than Lyon and even on the table Le Havre has more better position than Lyon so I wonder what will become there faith on this match.
Lyon is at least out of the relegation zone, which is a blessing, they won three in a row that nobody really expected them to do, and that's why I think it's quite obvious that we are talking about a team that would have a good chance. I think it's clear that we are talking about a team that is in the history of Ligue 1 and they should be preserved as much as possible. That doesn't mean that they should not be relegated when they deserve, we all know that would happen, but cheering them to stay on is not a bad thing, I would prefer them staying.

Clermont looks like they are already gone, so nothing much to do there, Lorient seems like they may go too, so it's all Lyon vs Toulouse to me, and I think Lyon would be more suited.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you take out your investment when in profit? on: January 11, 2024, 07:23:01 AM
When my investment already gain value, I mostly rely on technical analysis on when to take my profit. The simplest thing to do was to determine the support and resistance. When price hit resistance barrier three times and then surpassing the support I would sell it, but sometimes I also watch for some news that might affect the price.
This does sound like a proper way to do it, it includes everything, from profit making to indicators to walls, it is really the way to go. Doesn't mean it is the only way, doesn't mean it is the best way, but I can say that it is a good way to do it and I support it.

I believe that we are dealing with something that is not all that easy, and it is going to be a tough deal if we are not careful with it as well. I believe that the best thing to do in this case would be making sure that we are dealing with something that is a little tough to handle. So if you are leaving, if you are getting out, the only risk is the price keep going up, but if you are already in profit, it won't be an issue, and if you are in a loss, try to stay longer and not get out.
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Unknown fact our profitable colleagues won't tell us on: January 10, 2024, 06:04:16 PM
When you take only such trades, even though you lose 60% of your trades, you will still be profitable.
Though most people have the ability to win 80% of there trades because of how skilled they are.
It's very important that you take only trades that makes the good days to count,  don't take any trades that wouldn't give you the minimum 1:3 risk reward ratio.
That's what the profitable traders do, no one has a crystal balls,  everyone do experience some losses, but if you can win 50% of your trades while trading only 1:3 risk reward ratio then I bet you, brother you are definitely smiling too the bank .
Quality of the trade do matter, but it also depends on the type of trader you are. Some traders make 100 satoshi in 100 trades, some make it in one trade, some wait out to make 10 thousand dollars more, some wait for just a few bucks in trade and close it and open another a thousand times a day. It is not really a right or wrong way, as long as you are profiting it doesn't matter how you do it, it's all on your own decision.

I believe that we are going to end up with something that would profit us, and I think the best thing to do in this case would be just making sure that we are dealing with some great return, that should be the most important part. If we can do that, then who cares how we do it, as long as the profit is there.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 10, 2024, 04:29:23 PM
I heard many African countries are strict with Bitcoin and even if let say they are not, I will still doubt that they will be having this idea, since many countries who has a stable relationship with BTC are still not doing it. Maybe we are still early for this? As of now, we are only lucky here in the forum to first experience it.

I am not aware of those crypto payroll agencies you listed there but that was cool. Employers can try using it, if they think it's a hassle to manually send the BTC's to their workers. BTC is decentralized so it has nothing to do with the government, although BTC must be legalized first by the governments in order for the employers to start doing this innovation.
Many African countries are basically "de-facto dictatorship", they may not be as dictators as you might see from China, but more like Russia. In theory, Russia is a democratic nation, they do have elections, have you ever seen Putin lose an election? That dude is a dictator that makes sure that he wins, there is no scenario where he loses, but you still go out to vote right?

So, that is kind of the situation at many African nations as well, maybe not in the highly developed ones like Egypt or Nigeria or South Africa, but there are plenty that are doing terrible. This is why you should be considering the possibility that you may end up with some more strict approach to it, you might be allowed, but you would be watched for sure.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 10, 2024, 08:22:14 AM
There are lots of comments, sorry I can't reply to each one but in general like sportsbooks it's more logical to win. I forgot to ask about table games like poker and blackjack, I play table games more often than slot machines. Do you think table games are also bad and based only on luck?
I don't trust live dealer games frankly because I have seen several instances of the dealer cheating and even saw a few videos where they rig the roulette to some extent using magnets etc.

Sports betting is good... but the problem is the odds liquidity. In a game where both sides have an equal chance to win, you get 1.83 odds in general while on dice you get 1.98x so it adds up when you make a lot of bets. The casinos and sportsbook are very smart and they know how to negate the skill advantage that some people have in games where skill matters.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 09, 2024, 08:05:22 PM
In times like this, there are many expectations for the SEC's approval of the Bitcoin spot. But of course this is still speculation; it just appears that the majority will happen, but the future is still unpredictable because no one knows what will happen in the future.
ETF has been the way of  people to manipulate the  market as pushing its approval will result to high increase in price but look how many times this has been denied?
I don't think SEC will just approve this like that because if they do it has been proven years back.
I do agree that ETF has a lot of rumour mills churning at all times, and that's a weird feeling because back in the day people invested into bitcoin because of bitcoin, not because of bitcoin ETF possibility and I think there are still way too many people who do it because of that as well.

However, it is also clear that we are talking about a situation that is going to be quite risky as well, it is not going to be all that easy to get that ETF accepted, so we should be careful about what we are doing, it is not that simple. Hopefully, we will get to a level where people could realize that ETF is not a must and we could get better as long as we give it enough time, and not really end up with anything that would be all that troublesome.
251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: January 09, 2024, 05:23:05 PM
2. Learn how to analyze chart
For those who prefer long-term trading, it's not necessary. Fundamental company analysis or related coin is sufficient... afterward, price fluctuations shouldn't affect emotions and decision making. I'm talking about trading for a period longer than 1 year, not day trading. Because, until now, the best practice in my opinion is to hold for a long time. Low risk, low effort... just make sure you have main income to survive.

Well..it doesn't mean I discourage people from analyzing candlesticks... go ahead if you need . However, for newbies, analyzing charts should be on  number 4. It takes a long process and a good sense for things like this.
Such as me, I do long term investment and I believe that it is not going to be all that confusing or great, I believe that we are going to end up with something that would be a bit harder to handle and we should not really focus on the indicators. I am not saying short term traders shouldn't, if you are someone who does day trading that indicators are all your life, it is just part of your day, and that means you need to learn them like back of your hand.

However, we need to figure out a way to just hold long term, find some money to do that, and then we do not need indicators if we do that part. I personally hold long term, so indicators mean nothing to me, I just buy and hold, what could indicators do to help me with that.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 09, 2024, 06:29:34 AM
My country has a more complicated situation. Anti-Bitcoin are common among individuals over 35. Bitcoin is distrusted by this group, which is rooted in established banking systems. This is why awareness is so important.

Indeed, education is powerful. Misunderstanding and ignorance fuel most anti-Bitcoin attitudes. To educate those who are unfamiliar, especially the elderly, is my goal. Its about simplifying Bitcoin's terminology. After understanding Bitcoin, many see it as an opportunity.

Its about applying Bitcoin's benefits to their daily life, not just bombarding them with facts. Even the most doubters soften when I do so. While risk is always present, the potential returns for individual investors and the society are significant. Sharing knowledge benefits everyone and is a Bitcoin enthusiast's duty.
Because they're being taught in traditional way, they only know tangible assets e.g. fiat, land, real estate, gold, or anything that you can see has a physical appearance. What about stock? it's promoted by the country and government, especially it already exist since long time.

While Bitcoin? it's fairy new, intangible asset, and the most of country doesn't promote it, some even say it's illegal and haram.
I think that is why bitcoin is much better, it makes sense that it would be something that you could make a lot of money from BECAUSE it is new, and people should realize that we are going to end up with something that should benefit everyone. I believe that the best thing to do is to get a lot better approach to it, and we should definitely consider that as the most important part.

That doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with anything that would hurt people on the long run, we just need to make sure that it is going to end up with a result that should not be all that confusing. I personally hope for the best, and invest into bitcoin that would not be all that easy to handle, could definitely change it for the better.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 08, 2024, 08:03:31 PM
About the Clippers, as a German national I am a bit disappointed they are giving Theiss such a small role yet again. He started really strong after the trade from the Pacers but now he gets so few minutes and pick and roll opportunities, they don't get the best out of him. He actually showed what he can do but right now this is not looking good.  Cry
They don't start well after James Harden was traded, so the decision of not giving him plenty of minutes was due to the result of their experiment. They (clippers) are in the playoff ranking now, they have more wins in the last 10 games, and that would only tell that the current set of line up, from starting to secondary are working well on their system.

Westbrook didn't even complain which is a triple double machine before, and because he played on the 2nd unit, he is getting quality minutes.

Every player has their talent, it's just a matter on which team they'll fit.
I would say it actually works a lot better for Westbrook now, which is definitely funny to see. He is not really a second unit player though, he is a sixth man, which means that they do not "start" with him, but they do use him when they need someone playing well, and sort of like Manu Ginobili rule, Ginobili wasn't a starter neither, but he did finish the games and he was one of the most important player in that squad, doesn't mean that he was second unit player just because he was the sixth man, he just ruled when the others were resting, and then rested when others joined and then they finished together, same is going on about Westbrook as well, that's important. I think it should be important to notice that difference.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 08, 2024, 06:54:22 PM
Juventus' goal productivity level this season is not very good. But the good thing is that Juventus can always win even with a small goal difference. Juventus actually often wins several matches quite dramatically. As if luck was always on their side. But one thing that is certain is that it is all thanks to the intelligence of the coach they have, Allegri.
Juventus, which actually almost experienced bad results in the match against Salernitana, was then able to turn things around thanks to Salernitana who only played with 10 players, which was also like luck. But still, it was all thanks to the good use of opportunities by the Juventus squad.

Yes, there are many clubs that start the season well but slump at the end. But there are also clubs that are having an ordinary season but they can continue to maintain their performance until the end. And I hope Juventus is a club that can maintain their performance until the end. Even though this squad has limited players, so far Allegri has been able to make very good player rotations.
To be fair, their defense is so rock solid that, they do not really feel the need to score a lot, Inter is doing better on that front to be fair, but I think Juventus is close to them for a reason and I think that should be an important case. I believe that there are a few things that Juventus does better, but defense is definitely one of them and should be an important deal.

I think it would not be all that simple to handle the workload the team has this season, they are focusing way too much on the league and they will try to win it no matter what happens. This creates a bit more stress for the players, because every single game matters, it feels as if every game is a finals of something and they need to win it.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing Royal Shiba , Next meme king ! on: January 08, 2024, 03:59:52 PM
I don't think retail investors are still crazy about meme coin as many are still stuck in doge and shiba inu. They made a huge dip from their ATH and no one knows how it will go for the meme project in the upcoming bull season where institutions will be everywhere. Institutional investor will look for fundamentally strong project, they won't gamble with their money on projects like meme. Crypto is a highly speculative era so anything can happens so let's not be certain about something that hasn't happened yet.
They still do mate. Have you ever wondered why meme coins next to DOGE and SHIB like Pepe have become successful? As long as there are new trends, a meme can come out and so as a new meme coin. Many will try to ride it, in hopes that that it will pump and they can get some share of the pie. Maybe it's true that many are still rooting for the OG of meme coins but many have already lost their hope and moved on.

The upcoming bull reason can be one of the reasons on why retail investors will try to gamble for the meme coins for a while because they also expect that meme coins can pump. We don't know maybe institutional investors are like that too?
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 08, 2024, 02:04:35 PM
Henderson with Al Ettifaq was play 19 times and create 5 assist i think these records proven his performance isn't quite bad but reported Henderson found it difficult to adapt to Saudi Arabia because the country has high temperatures besides that with the lack of enthusiasm of the fans to watch for each matches makes him not comfortable to playing so recently Henderson have already told to his team mate at Al Ettifaq that he want to out from Saudi Arabia and return to Europa immediately but so far there was no teams who showing their interest to him however Henderson has 2 years contract with Al Ettifaq and if i am not mistaken he has 2.8 millions monthly salary but apparently high salary doesn't make him comfortable to playing at Saudi Pro League because he was failed to adapt with the atmosphere of that league
I mean coming from UK to Saudi Arabia is not an easy task, that dude lived in a western world, home of pubs, and cold wet weather raining all the time, to a Saudi country, with desert hot weather, with a different culture as well. Adapting to it must be a very difficult thing to do, I am not saying it's impossible, but it's definitely not an easy task neither, should be something that may take some time.

I still think that players do not need to leave, they could wait it out and get used to it with time, it is not like it's worlds apart, they are rich millionaires, their life is not the life of some poor folk, so they should wait it out and get paid, that seems like the better idea on the long run if they can be patient about it.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is just happened on the Bitcoin Market? on: January 07, 2024, 03:52:28 PM
don't worry, it looks like bitcoin will recover to $45K in the near future.
Considering it is nearly at 44k again, you could see that all those FUD people were wrong, as always. I mean this is such a simple thing, and we need to just realize that it's been happening for so many times in a row right now, so it shouldn't really be something that we should care about. I get that we are going to end up with a situation where it snot going to be all that simple, but it's really not that complicated.

The price will go up, it is nearing halving, so for the next 1.5 years it will go up, that is just as simple as that, there will be tiny drops like this, but overall it will go up and we just need to realize that is the reality and that's it. I get that we may not end up with something that could change the world, but we just need to accept that as reality.
According to CMC, it has peaked at 45.9k at second of January, I agree that dropping to under 41k levels a day later may have scared some people, but also it peaked over 44k just a day later as well. That is why we call bitcoin volatile, there is a reason for that and I think it should be important to be aware of that.

I am not saying that it is going to be all that easy to handle it, all I am saying is that we are going to end up with something that should matter to us all the time. I get that it is not that easy, and I get that it may feel a bit off, like when you see it at 45k and then 40k, I get the "fear", but that is just volatility. Let the bitcoin world act all up and down, the long term will always be up in the end.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solana - Is it still good to buy or it's FOMO on: January 07, 2024, 06:10:53 AM
...and I think this will be going down to what is the regular price before the increase last year?

so If you are planning to buy more then better to consider sooner when the value drops good for Buy low Sell high strategy .

You can also consider the current price for buying, as the price has already corrected quite a bit after the last rise. And before we wait for an even stronger correction, the price may increase by 2 times again. Although I am skeptical that the price of SOL can drop to $20.
What makes you think that SOL will go back to $20? That is only possible if Bitcoin goes around $30k once again and I don't see that happening at all. The maximum value BTC can drop to from here is $35k in my opinion and that is also too low, to be honest. Just like everyone else, I'm also expecting another correction but it wouldn't be as deep as you are expecting, if SOL drops even to $50 from here, that will be the best price for buying during this market cycle.

Sometimes, you have to take some risks to earn great returns, which could happen to me if I had bought SOL when it was around $28 when I thought it wouldn't go high this soon, then it went to $48, and I thought it has already pumped enough and it will drop from here, and that made me miss one of the best trades.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: A big buying opportunity might be on the horizon on: January 06, 2024, 06:51:24 PM
Well again this will end in Waiting time , yeah ETF denial will never stop bitcoin from making another ATH because we have seen this happens many time before , but the thing here is that we are nearing the Halving so bitcoin will make another great chance to increase and so as we to purchase and make our folio open for another investing .
as soon as the market grows is the faster we can make withdrawal and money .
It's a good idea not to withdraw money in advance if the market is developing quite well because everyone will take advantage of this good trend for their own benefit. But if it's time to withdraw money, I think it's not a problem to do so as long as there is still potential for better price growth in Bitcoin. Of course it would also be very good to remain in the current position while continuing to implement purchases with the capabilities we currently have.
I agree, not withdrawing right now is a good approach and should be considered as the best thing to do at the moment. I agree that there are some people who are fearing what may happen, but I think it would be quite good to just let it be, I feel like that would be an ideal situation. I am not saying that it is going to hurt us on the long run, but that is still a good thing and we need to let it be and not sell or not touch our coins and just hold and wait.

If we can do that for about a year, then we are going to get a lot more profit, and I am not sure how much more, but I bet that it is going to be way more than what most people assume it would be. I believe that in a year, we are going to peak over the ATH price and will do amazingly.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: January 06, 2024, 05:23:23 AM
something like the IPFS for the server of the dex website may be the most decentralized but seems not possible yet. the project Filecoin was supposed to function this way afaik, its development however is just too slow. if there is something like decentralized storage, it will mean the government will not be able to shut down a website.

but there are wallet apps today with built-in exchanges, i think this is working as decentralized.
I would guess that when you are dealing with servers, it is really not that hard to find one that will not be taken down. Banned? Sure, but banned is not the same as taken down and that should be important.

Plus, you could literally have your own server, what we call a "server" is just a pc, I mean of course bigger ones look different, but if you could just have one pc that is running 7/24 then you will be fine, or you could even buy one of those server looking servers and not a pc, and that would run non-stop and you will not need anyone else. Want even bigger independence? Put some solar panels that means you are going to end up with non-stop electricity as well if you can get enough sun light to it.

So there are very few things, but it is possible to keep it running forever. I believe that is not going to be possible if you build it at New York though, you also have to pick a place that government won't try to reach and stop you, has to be somewhere with more easy laws.
