Yes but it's mechanical, this means you need to fap a lot to sustain your hashrate.  Grin

Of course, the world has not yet seen a blockchain that has been battle-tested, that does not reward the maintainers in a native token. So there's that. What's the incentive?

Unless someone solves this problem in the realm of game theory, it is impossible.  This is one of the absolute foundational pillars for the stability of bitcoin the removal of which would create a sort of 2 legged stool.

...
Will there be a mass realization that blockchain without bitcoin is just a slow, shitty database? How long will this realization take?
...
I wonder about that, too. Most crypto people I know from meat space think some "newer, better" coin will supersede bitcoin, yet most don't know how bitcoin or any of the alts actually work.

What they also don't get is that if bitcoin was replaced by something newer, more shiny (assuming such a thing would exist), then not only would bitcoin be pointless but also the new shiny coin, and every next shiny coin down the line.

It's either bitcoin, hooks into bitcoin, or it's a parasite sucking on bitcoins success.

7  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: April 16, 2018, 03:34:55 PM

I take no joy in profiting from war

I do, make the rich richer & make the poor poorer. It’s the way the world has been for centuries. Choose which category you wish to fall into.

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could

I’m willing to go to hell if it makes my time alive better yeah

Glad to meet you all there, hopefully the heat won't wear out my (not yet delivered  Cry) teslas batteries.

Bonus: opsec won't be a concern anymore.

edit: Regarding the war stuff, it's not like any decision makers would give a shit what we think. Can as well profit from it, not doing so won't change nothing.

Erm, guys, i don´t get how to get UBTC. Couldn´t a helpfull soul direct me ? Thanks ! I´m always offtopic, i know, but can´t help myself.

you're too late. you had to send them some bitcoin from the address you're claiming and hand over your ID and blood and even then they'd probably deny it to you. their 'offer' closed a month ago.

They added an extra grace period for claiming until 14th February, then kept all the unclaimed coins for themselves (including Satoshi's million).

To even begin claiming you had to give them an email address and a mobile phone number. After you supplied that information they wanted even more intrusive details from you.

In order to even get started with UBTC, a user must supply a valid email address and a mobile phone number.

Lulz this shitfork is like a special tax for the mentally challenged.

Why is it that  hardly anybody here other than myself and a couple of others will admit the show's over?
I know it's hard to accept but it's true.
Dark forces pushed it up to its heights  in order to be able to obliterate it.
Not just Bitcoin....all digital currencies.
You are seeing it with your own eyes but sill won't acknowledge it!
 Huh

That's the spirit!

Now everybody repeat with me: "bitcoin is deddd". This time for realz.

Most of the ppl in Crypto (speculation) have a very short time horizon.  A days action may seem like a lot.

They find it difficult to see the longer term picture. That is why there is so much conflicting opinion.

A view on price always has the caveat of a time frame.

Its not only that. There is always this menace that bitcoin will be crushed to the ground by speculators, banks and governments, and will never rise again. Everytime someone talks about "regulation" is always posed as a threat, even if it would mean only regulating exchanges to halt crashes like this.

And that's why Ripple is a better investment.

That's what I was told lol Grin

Down 2000 , up 500
rinse and repeat.

Yeah, whatever everybody is saying on charts and..... its a fact that for the moment the market given us a pump little higher than the last one and dips down to pump again but allways with little lower ending .....  i don’t have a problem with This , i Just hope its breaks out and don’t give to much chance to the f****** Guy’s that knows better and allways telling me i read in the articles BTC is Going to go to 2K and then i Will buy iT and blabla while they have such a Nice uppertunity to start buying allready , i even would hate iT if Some of the f**** buy @this prices please leave them in the dust , all these i know better Guy’s whitout any longterm picture....

Don't worry, these kind of people don't have the balls to buy if it actually goes down to 2k. For them bitcoin is always either "to expensive right now" or "bitcoin is dead".

At the same time they bitch about how bitcoin is easy money, bitcoiners were just lucky, blablabla, yet they fail on making any "easy money" from bitcoin themselfes, it's hilarious.
17  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: March 28, 2018, 04:02:37 PM
Moin,
