Well hell, I guess I need to get on the Catwagon.

Seems like a cool coin to get behind.

505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 26, 2013, 08:05:07 PM
My miner runs perfectly fine on 'low'. As soon as I change to 'high', I get
ASIC_01-16: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
ASIC_17-32: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
ASIC_33-48: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
ASIC_49-64: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
ASIC_65-80: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
ASIC_81-96: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
Long Poll: inactive

suggestions? (I have enough power, get 420+ watts)

As noted earlier in this thread, the wattage isn't nearly as important as the amps for the Cube.

How many amps does you 12V rail(s) get?

What kind of PSU are you using?
506  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Interest in a GPU Group Buy? on: December 26, 2013, 04:22:51 PM
Working on getting quotes now from a few additional places. My first round of factory-direct E-mails seemingly died off. I imagine most factories are about at 100%, so I'm working on a few other places to do a GB from.

Thanks for the update!  Definitely looking forward to hearing more info when you receive it.
507  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 26, 2013, 04:21:30 PM
cdog.... that sounds like such a bizarre issue.  I wonder if you have a faulty main board.

Have you already tried running it one blade at a time to see if it can stabilize with less than 6 blades?

I'd contact your supplier and see if they can get a replacement.  Very strange issue you are having Sad

It looks like they have 30cm risers now as well. Before I had to buy 19's.

I ordered a bunch last week and this was my quote:

The product cost is $5.0/piece now.the cable length is 25cm

The shipping cost is $30.0 of Fedex

I'll let you know how long it takes to get here but the rep was super helpful.

Thanks again

Your country mate??
I asked them about these risers and they said they are $8/piece for 10 pieces and shipping is $42 to INDIA.

It has varied from day to day really... I've had quotes from $3-8 on 1x to 16x and 16x to 16x powered cables.  I "locked in" at $3.80 only for them to tell me they could not fill my order and refunded me.  Then I got another "buy" at $5.50 and they told me not to send the order because they are not making the cables anymore.  Finally, I got an order filled for $7.65... not thrilled about the increases but at least I know I have some powered risers on the way now.

509  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 1x to 16x PCI-e Risers for $15/ea (shipped) on: December 26, 2013, 04:14:07 PM
Bump.  You know you need some risers! Wink

I will have 1x to 1x and powered 1x to 16x in stock in a few weeks!

510  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 25, 2013, 03:53:37 PM
Hmm, stumped now. Maybe I should try a different pool? I know the password for multipool is not used, they generally say either leave blank or set to x, and I've tried it with both in the cube settings: sytherz.1:x,sytherz.1:x and also leaving the x out sytherz.1:,sytherz.1:

Happy xmas everyone Cheesy

Anyone got any advice for the above? It's still failing even though I've done everything as advised here ...

Would people recommend I install CGminer or BFGminer instead to try through them? I've not compiled much on this laptop as I needed to use my main desktops PSU to power the cube ... but I could get round to it later.

Merry Christmas!  The only thing that I can think of is that multipool doesn't support proxy mining... but that doesn't really make sense.

I'd try Slush's pool or BTC Guild and if that doesn't work then I am stumped as well.  Doesn't look like the proxy miner is connected to the pool though...
511  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 24, 2013, 11:34:26 PM
Your Gateway IP is blank and your Primary DNS is matching your Pool IP, so try this...

open up command prompt, type in "cd\windows\system32" and then press enter.  Now type in "ipconfig" and press enter.

On the screen you should see "IPv4 Address" and "Default Gateway"

IPv4 Address is the IP address of the laptop you are running the proxy on and should be the same as "Pool IP"

Default Gateway is the IP address of the router you are using and it should be the same as "Primary DNS" and "Gateway"

512  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 24, 2013, 10:58:05 PM
Try this to run your proxy batch, take out everything else:

mining_proxy.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us -p 8888 -gp 8330

Change cube settings to:

Gateway = Router IP
Primary DNS = Router IP
Pool ports = 8330,8330
Pool address = your laptop IP that is running the mining proxy

513  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 24, 2013, 09:14:11 PM
Thanks for the guide, however it seems I'm stuck at the first hurdle ... the cube is all up and running fine, connected to my PSU and the Ethernet is connected into BT homehub Ethernet port 2, but when I try to navigate to the 192.168.1.65:8000 I just says "problem loading page". I've double checked in my network settings and the way to get into my Homehubs settings is with 192.168.1.254 and it says that my IP address is 192.168.1.65 in my network connections, neither of these work with the :8000 ending in my browser, any advise?

You will need to change your router setting from 192.168.1.254 to something else so that you can access the Cube at 192.168.1.254:8000

515  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 24, 2013, 05:46:48 PM
If you are like me, then your router's IP could be set at 192.168.1.254 so you will have to change that in order to get the Cube configured.

Here was my solution for my UVerse router.

win?

ok skippy, if you like cleaning up steaming dog shit EVERY day, well, thats just super duper.

This is how I want to spend my time, EVERY day. OK, note my bias. Having a shit factory as a 'pet', seriously? Wanna rethink that?

They are cute and cuddly shit factories, though...  just like babies!

Thanks for the great guide Dogie!  I just got my cube today and have had some problems, but it is up and hashing at 32ghs overclocked with 5 cards.  I have searched this forum for a solution to my issue and I do apologize if I missed the answer to this.  My problem is when I try and power on the cube with all 6 cards on board it just clicks and turns off.  I have tried different cards in different slots and have determined it is not a particular slot or card that is causing the issue.  I am using two dell power supplies at 375w each.  I have test with a corsair 860w and Seasonic 860w.  All do the exact same thing with 6 cards on board, but work fine with 5.  All my tests were at the low clock setting.  I am suspect of the fuse, but did put in the other that came with the cube.  Could this be causing my issue?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!   Wink

I'd contact your supplier.  You might have a faulty main board and they can probably get you a new one from friedcat.  Some guy apparently got a board overnighted to him from Shenzhen.
518  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] OpenRigs.com - Aluminium Frames for Mining Rigs on: December 24, 2013, 04:51:11 AM
Damn, why not just have one designed and made, be easier to order from a local pcb builder lol

I imagine that would be much more expensive than ordering from China, though!
519  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 1x to 16x PCI-e Risers for $15/ea (shipped) on: December 24, 2013, 04:50:00 AM
If you only had powered Sad Won't even risk unpowered.

Yeah... these were supposed to be powered. Undecided

Moved to a new supplier and should be getting 100 powered ones with a 25cm cable length early next month.
520  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] OpenRigs.com - Aluminium Frames for Mining Rigs on: December 24, 2013, 03:39:13 AM
^^ Might take ya up on that! I got a bunch on order ... Should be here 24-27th.. If they flake and refund me again ill be giving ya a holler.  You got 30cm or 19?

I hear ya on that!  I've had 3 orders cancelled... just paid $1540 to have them return the transaction because they couldn't fill the order.  Talking to another supplier in Shenzhen right now to get another order for 200 of the 30cm 1x to 16x powered cables.  We will see if that goes through... *crosses fingers*

If not then I will have to go through another supplier but their MOQ is higher and I won't have the funds until next month.

Anywhoo, I currently have the 15cm (cable length) 1x to 16x unpowered.  Selling them here before going to eBay next week.
