Agree...

.31 BTC = $340 @ Mt Gox last price

.25 BTC would be more fair of a price... I am tempted to buy this, but then I would have to expand to two mining rigs and that would just anger my wife too much... haha
744  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitBot Faucet Farmer | ALPHA 4 | FREE on: December 02, 2013, 09:03:12 PM
While I think that its cool you are smart enough to build this... I also think this is not what faucets are intended for and you should maybe stop robbing money from the poorest segment of the cryptocoin world... the new entrants... additionally these guys pay a lot of money just to make sure people can try out crypto for you to bleed it dry. Can't say I am a fan of this.

While I tend to agree with this... what is the actual purpose of the faucet sites?  They typically give out satoshis, right?

0.00000001 BTC = $0.0001 USD

It's not like you are robbing anyone for a bunch of money and the faucet sites still get credit for the web-traffic, which is one of their main purposes right? Build up traffic and spam the shit out of the site with ad revenues?  Sorry if I am wrong on that, but I have only visited like one faucet and that was on accident.

Some of the Americans humans are very nice, but some are like - this is a one-side opinion - kind of arrogant or selfish

Fixed it for ya.

LTC sure looks like it is heading upwards.  I only have like 10 at the moment but I might be getting more soon.

Yeah, some of us are pretty stupid... but I don't think any country is free of the sheeples.

751  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: November 30, 2013, 06:31:15 AM
Seal,
Im making this post to convince you to increase your payouts. First of all, you shouldnt look at the fiat value of bitcoin, but instead look at bitcoin as bitcoin. 0.007 BTC a week is relatively low in bitcoin terms, for 1001+ posts. Additionally, there are other competitors which are offering higher rates monthly. So please take a moment to think about your payouts in terms of bitcoin not fiat. If you are receiving btc constantly (which I think you are) then, paying out a bit higher wouldn't affect you too dearly.

This is what I would suggest for the time being:
100 - 250: 0.002 BTC
251 - 500: 0.004 BTC
501 - 750: 0.006 BTC
750 - 1000: 0.010 BTC
1001+: 0.014 BTC

Look at it in proportion to the bitcoins you have, not in fiat terms.

Overall you are looking at around 0.3 BTC to 0.35 BTC per month. Which is good considering we still do make posts. Many of us make more than the required 14 posts per week. Plus you have our already made posts!
Thanks Seal, please consider it!

Sometimes I take ridiculous parlays for 1mBTC, and sometimes they pay off like when I hit a 100:1 MLB parlay earlier this year.

I prefer to bet on games straight up, though.
753  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] OpenRigs.com - Aluminium Frames for Mining Rigs on: November 26, 2013, 09:13:48 PM
Just browsed on my phone.  Those look clean!  I like the standalone unit.

I take it if I get the 4 GPU version that it is not as large as the 8 GPU version?  The picture just makes it seem so big and I only currently have 3 GPUs but am looking to get a 4th one very soon.

Yes - the 8 GPU is pictured, the 4 GPU unit is not as wide, just over half of the 8 GPU unit. Should've made that clear somewhere, sorry about that:)

Groovy.  I think I will be getting one on Friday Cheesy
754  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Still searching for a "simple" explanation of how Bitcoin operates on: November 26, 2013, 09:09:37 PM
When a hash is submitted that "solves" the block, then it is basically 1 of the 6 confirmations.

There isn't a thing like 6 confirmations. That number is an arbirtrary one. You need one confirmation for the transaction to be confirmed and anything else above that adds security for orphan blocks, network attacks etc.
6 doesn't mean anything else than that your transactions are more secured from having 5 confirmations and less secured from having 7.

Truth.  I'm just going off of an explanation that could correlate to the Bitcoin-qt wallet that shows "broadcasting" and then 0/6 confirms, etc.  It keeps getting confirmed everytime a block is found.

I guess it's just hard because a "simple" explanation of how Bitcoin operates doesn't really exist.  lol

The block is basically a list of new transactions (new as in since the previous block). Each transaction is already confirmed in one sense - it has the signature of the owner(s) of the bitcoins that are going into it (i.e. the signatures of whoever's spending in that transaction). But this is only one level of confirmation - confirmation that, up to the last block, those signature owners still had those bitcoins. The problem would be that those owners could spend the same bitcoins into more than one transaction. That's the point of the blockchain; it creates one uniquely valid version of history - the only valid transaction history is the one in the longest chain of blocks. If two different blocks are created simultaneously, with the spending happening more than once, one of those blocks will become "orphaned" and ignored.

Helping?

This is much more eloquent.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CGMiner - WTF Blue Screen of death? on: November 26, 2013, 09:05:21 PM
haha this might be a long shot but been as your using 13.1 drivers

setup all the cards so there all plugged in and spinning
now uninstall ATI using the setup file
now restart computer
reinstall ATI drivers using custom instead of express install everything except the HFMI audio driver and the atuall Display drivers
now restart computer again
now run the install again and use custom install to install the Display Driver
now restart and try mining

should all work fine and dandy

Sounds bizzare, but I am definitely willing to try it out this weekend.  I will probably just put a fresh install of Windows on there, too, for the hell of it.
756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would like to rent SCRYPT hashing power on: November 26, 2013, 09:02:29 PM

Using that figure, at dustcoin.com I came up with the $33 day before electricity-  and I am thinking it's not even worth it!  Am I wrong?  With 4 of these cards operating should I be earning more?

$33/day * 365 = $12,045/yr

8760 hours in a year, so you are saying you use more than $1.375/hour in electricity?

Or at $0.12/kwh you are using more than 10,000watts of power for 4 cards?

757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Still searching for a "simple" explanation of how Bitcoin operates on: November 26, 2013, 08:58:58 PM
Just go here:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Confirmation

When a hash is submitted that "solves" the block, then it is basically 1 of the 6 confirmations.  Since the average block time is supposed to be 10 minutes, this makes a fully confirmed transaction 60 minutes.

Most sites that allow you to spend Bitcoin will credit you after 1 confirmation, but some might go much higher.

759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: *******CROWDCAPPER.COM*******Sports betting Picks - ( RECORD 421-114-30) on: November 26, 2013, 07:59:53 PM
we need to find 3 games we can parlay with spread even if (one is over and under) so when family is over games are enjoyable Smiley

Right now I am thinking -6 Lions Over 40.5 Pit Game and -9 Cowboys

I'm scared to touch the Lions game.  They are so bad on Thanksgiving and they just lost to the Bucs.

Historically I would want to go under on a Steelers/Ravens game, but these teams don't resemble anything close to what they were even last year.

Took Cowboys -9.5 but haven't touched the other two... yet Cheesy
