I think China is developing a serious bitcoin habit. Cool

I was staring at the BTCChina charts an hour ago as the ATH was passed, and decided that they could hit 8000 before I go to bed in a few hours. That was wishful thinking, just exercising a little daydream.  Here we are are at nearly 7500.  Who needs TV. Really!

it seems that the auction is done ?  I have bought  a lot in havelock...

The auction runs another day and a half. there are no shares left to bid on at .29, you have to up the bid to jack the shares from one of the listed targets. I mean buyers  Grin

Speed up announced  Wink

Nov. 28, 2013, 5 p.m. - Speed up Customer Service! - Click to Read

We have just sped up our verification process and re-assigned workload to 6 full time people. Please be patient as over today and tomorrow there will be mass phone verifications conducted as well as ticket responses in the order in which they were received, we are starting our efforts on Nov 18th and project to be caught up by next week. We are devoting our full human resources to make this happen with the addition of 3 more part-time people to make a total of 9 staff working solely on tickets and customer service!

That and a whole message on zero fees which would not be processed because they would be below dust but they caught that one quickly
Just teasing  Wink

Starting on Nov 18...
Unless that's a typo, they got buried in the avalanche the next day. as they try to speed up, the treadmill just speeds up more  Smiley

AFAIK, the chineese Yen / U$ ratio is arround 5..
U$ seems to lag on the price rise in Yen.  BTC should be @ 1200+ U$ to reflect the ratio.
Im I wrong ?

6.1:1
3048  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 28, 2013, 02:42:40 AM

there is no auction price yet. my guess: it will end up at 0.6.
There will be no divs, and likely no news in the next 2 days. Other than drunken bidding, what would cause it to reach close to double the going rate?  I know the champagne is flowing free today, but by Saturday I would expect even the hangover to be mostly gone  Shocked

just a market sell. cheapest is .335 still

Is there any news on the dividends yet?  I'm at work so I'm curious to see where they end up this week.
Nope, no movement so far.

As far as i remember Friedcat never postponed dividends day. I hope nothing is wrong.

Maybe he's still celebrating. Cut him some slack Grin

Collaborate? I doubt even simple math is possible, yet the ASICMINER threads have some of the best organized, most well thought-out conversations on bitcointalk...

Anybody with shares (AM1) today could sell them for .36..asks are abundant..  and even if the auction got up to .39 for every available share (which we are far from at the moment), it's STILL free money.

So what I don't understand is why the asks are still there so high while the auction is running....   Anyone explain it?

Because nobodyelse wants to sell for less.
3053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2013, 04:45:01 AM
:-XHere's a question - considering the Mt. Gox high (at the time of writing) is $985, and as far as I can tell, that's an all-time high and easily the highest of all the exchanges, does that mean that whoever places an order to buy at $1000 will be the first ever buyer of bitcoin(s) sold through an exchange at $1000+?

That's gotta be notable, right?

No it reached over 1000 USD in China one week ago.
But priced in USD it will be the first time and yes, will be very notable.

So do it already  Grin

Is that the solo address, or cumulative with franchisee revenues?
3055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 26, 2013, 08:52:46 AM
this whole BTC is now occupying my mind, taking me over.. i think i need to meditate or do something that removes me from this constant antsy feeling about making a obscene amount of money.

FTFY

The question is: how do we know which Gen are those?

Seeing as there is only one, I'd guess... 1.

with 2 dropped and 3 due next spring, its a pretty good bet.

As gen2 failed why are you so sure that gen3 will succeed ? Indeed this is a bet.

Yep. But then,  if you're not some sort of gambler, you're not involved to start with  Grin

2.5% is crashing now?
3060  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: November 23, 2013, 10:39:14 PM
Gen 3 is coming and stuff never lost trust in the stock. I wanted to buy more stocks under 0.20 Tongue but it hanged at 0.23. But back to speculation. You guys think it will reach 3.0 btc again next year with high devidends? I don't got a lot off stocks But I went in with 2.5 btc for long term dividends. So In a few years I can maybe gather all the btc again.

Why I didn't stepped in earlyer? Didn't know bitcoin stocks existed lol.

I think anything above 1btc per share is going to be a huge over evaluation. With difficulty so high maintaining hashrate becomes harder and I doubt we will ever see upwards of 20% control. I would think 10% is more achievable and with 10% I value the shares at 1btc per.

FC did relay a while back that he was still happy with the business model, and on track. I took that to mean he intended to maintain (regain?) the 10% network share.  20 was amazing, but I'm not as fond of this 1% era  Cheesy  We have no real way of ascertaining the scope of the franchise sector though. Do we?  The 0.0013 div seems to indicate that it is tiny, unless funds are still being withheld for operations.  a reasonably stable 10% average would kick ass after plumbing the depths.
