Lol, this thread made my day.
On a side note, open source wouldn't make a difference anyway. He's obviously got a higher aptitude for programming. Most small OS projects such as that with intent to be malicious. Especially with little routine as, transfer of wallet.dat. Remove such code from source and release it anyway?
I can see a difference if it was trivial, but something as simple as a wallet.dat transfer or client side transfer initiations could be easily removed.
I don't care, I don't have BitCoin wallet on a computer that I use anyway. I liked the UI, its not ugly. Kuddos on the app.

Hey,
I am currently running 2x Sapphire 5830's. Picked them up at NewEgg for 102$
I have mine overclocked a bit, running at 1000Core and 300Mem. I am averaging 311Mhash/s. Thats pushing it a little bit on Stock voltages, but I haven't had an issue with the system becoming unstable or hardlocks.
Running @ 975/300 would using Phoenix miner, would get you right about on that 300mhash/s mark. Which if you ask me, is bad ass for a 100 Dollar card.

Keep in mind that Trixx can only overvolt/clock a pair of cards in CrossFire.
MSI afterburner would let me change clocks, but not voltage edit.
I suppose trying RBE wouldn't be a bad idea, or make some custom VCCD profiles in ATI Tray Tool.
I have been running my Sapphire 5830's overclocked at 1000/300 for a couple weeks with no issues.

Both cards on 1 motherboard no volt mods stock (1.163).
Very tempted to try and see what 1.25V will allow me to overclock the card to, STABILY.
GA P55-USB3 no separation cables. I have Sustained these speeds for about 2 days now.
I ran the cards solid at 1000/300 for about 2weeks, with no issues. Couple days ago decided to try Phoenix miner. After some trial and error found out that POCLBM gives me about 5-8Mhash more then phatk.
I have the Mobo on a tabletop, no case with two 120MM Fans blowing on the cards, with the GPU Cooling Fans at 80%.
What operating system are you using? I am using linuxcion.. and if you set multiple cards to 950/300 then it will freeze guaranteed within a few hours (for myself at least). How hot are your cards running at full speed? My Cards are running between 62-66C on Full Load

Trixx will only overclock one of the cards, due to the fact, that It would only pair profiles if the card's are Crossfired. I used ATI Tray Tools. Gigabytecoin: TriXX will let you up the voltage to sustain those speeds
Namley: If you're getting more with poclbcm than with PhatK, maybe you have the old Stream SDK? Try 2.4 instead of 2.1
I'm using SDK 2.1 I actually had issues with 2.4 and my Cards not showing up at all, but that was back using GUIMiner, I'd had to test it out with Phoenix.

Hey I was just curious if anyone has pushed their 5830's over the 311MHash/s Mark.
I have two Sapphire 5830's
Core Clock: 1000MHz Memory Clock: 320MHz Average Temp : 60-66C Depending on the Time of day.
Getting 311.4->311.89 using Pheonix Miner in Win7 without Aero

I just purchased 2 of Sapphire 5830's and I'm getting 304MHash/s on each card.
Running POCLBM with flags -v -w128 -r2 -f1 Clock speeds 1000/300
Not bad for 100$ card.

Little sooner then 1hr, realizing that my ugly boxfan was on medium, I turned it to high
Top Card is sitting at 58C Bottom Card is sitting at 60C
Both have remained at those temps for about 10-15minutes
How long have you ran your 5830's at those clock speeds? I was bit afraid of frying the cards.

Keeping in mind that I have both fans on the Cards running at 100% and a High RPM Box Fan running at full speed pointed to the open side of the case.
I will monitor for an hour and let you know. Its floating between 59-60C at the moment.

Oh okay, I'm going to try dropping the clock right down to 300 and see how it goes.
So I got it down to 300 no problem, but with my flags for POCLBM -v -w64 -r2 -f1 I dropped my Hash rate down to 273-277
Switched it to -v -w128 -r2 -f1 and Its sitting at 304-306 on both cards.

Make sure you leave at least one thread open for your GPU mining ** If you use it, to didn't specify **, otherwise you will see a drop in your GPU MHash's
At the current difficulty rate its probably more cost effective not to run the CPU, and save money on your power bill.
