Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that can be HDD mined?

Hello, is still profitable this type of mining in recent times? Thank you.
atm, mining using HDD is not profitable. It should be calculated how much hdd you have and how much hdd space you have. But if you want you can try the Burstcoin mine. First, the more HDD space, the better. and... if you tried and doesn't profitable. you can stop the mining and delete allocated files.

you need to invest first is the knowledge of altcoins. in practice, coin investment is very risky and also very profitable.
no one can be sure and must coin which one should you have. as in the case of ETH coins whose prices are skyrocketing, it is obviously advantageous when someone holds the ETH coin when the price is below $ 100.
When NXT coin fork becomes IGNIS coin, some people buying NXT coin at the price of $3 and hold it until IGNIS coin release. the reality after IGNIS released, priced Coin NXT dropped and an IGNIS coin price is not too high. much of loss when this case.

ater they will tell you to deal price and direct transfer to the seller, not escrow payment.
the items you ordered, most cases are different from what they show. many duplicates of the original goods. but not all sellers in Alibaba like that.
better don't buy in Alibaba.

Unless you are overclocking too much, mining will not damage your CPU. Some CPU mined coins are a little bit profitable, and if you have access to many computers that are otherwise idle, like a big network at a company where no one is using them at night, you can definitely make plenty of profit.
this point i disagree Surely cpu mining without gpu, can damage cpu because cpu is not in design for mining. of course many computers and have access in a company must profit because it has free hardware, free electricity, free internet. but which boss can allow his property to be used for the benefit of others? anyone doing hidden mining in cpu. he must become' the failed boss'

at this point of mining.mining with a desktop or cpu can make your device damaged. CPU / desktop is different if used mining. because the mining process must run long priode and remove heat.
any coin that will be mining will definitely not be profitable because the resulting hashrate is small.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What issues can bad PCIe risers cause?
|
on: January 28, 2018, 06:24:41 AM

yes, sometimes riser problems are often forgotten. I also experienced it. Sometimes Riser lacks power because it doesn't take into account the GPU power required through Riser. Riser itself requires power.
I experienced my Rig Restart itself, so actually wasn't perfect Riser in the installation, Riser melted the cable due to lack of power.

If you are going to update win 10 it is better to unplug your GPU in PCIe slot because there are few instances of win which are not detected automatically if upgraded before windows 10.
then uninstall your GPU drivers before upgrading to win 10. and reinstall the GPU, then restart. Good Luck

Hi, I have two graphic cards - msi gtx 1070 - saphire nitro+ rx580 8g special edition
I would like a mother board with two + pci x 16 to be able to connect both motherboards directly in the pc without risers.
If you want to install GPU directly to PCIex16 without Riser, are you not worried about melting it? Because mining produces hot temperatures. If the GPU goes directly to the PCIe slot, the GPU blower releases heat which causes heat radiation on the other part because GPU placement is parallel to the other part. different if using Riser. Any recommendations for the motherboard please?

Thanks for the replies! I'm obviously not very clued in at this stage - useful information/advice is very welcome. I was given a 'to do' list of steps to complete - and one of them included listing devices incl my phone etc. here. Certainly don't like the sound of my computer burning up.
member suggest you don't mining using your device. But if you still want to mining (Mac).alright, you can try CPU mining based. such of ETN coin.

Thanks for answers. ! I have already 1 1060 but it is 6gb , So I was curious if buying a 3gb 1060 will be a problem in near future.
if the Algo Equihash is fine, but VRAM 6 GB VS 3 GB is different in terms of performance, because in the process of mining, GPU function to generate code in block transactions. So the speed of dragging is certainly different from 6GB and 3 GB VRAM.so if long-term goals are certainly not worth.

I generated config files on the nanopool website.
I did set up my eth wallet and poloniex info in the .bat file. I didn't set the -dcri, but I changed it with +/- to various values, no change.
it's seems the main problem is a d pool, you could try to changes a d pool pointed to another pool. Good luck

do you seriously want that's the device for mining?
first, iPhone isn't a product to use mining, iPhone making calls,SMS and updated status on your social media.
for the laptop not design for long time periods and laptops have the small fan. when mining process issued heat, your laptop comes to be broken.
any coins will you do it of mining with Macbook, you have small hashrate and you have the small profit. your profit more less than bill electricity must you pay.

a year ago I bought RX480, RX570 and 2 pieces NVIDIA 1060 6GB. that time it cost 1060 more expensive than the RX480.
until recently RX480 running mining without any problems and damage but 1 unit of my NVIDIA suffered damage to the fan.
in terms of hashrate was smaller than RX480 in ETHASH, and in Equihash more or less the same.
from that experience, I recommend not to buy 1060, if you stick to the NVIDIA option better buy 1070.

He makes some good points. But you still have to figure out how much time you have to devote to mining singles. If it's better to mine singles, because you have knowledge of that coin, you have to have the time to devote to acquiring that knowledge and continuously keeping up with it.
You know how far you can push a card as far as overclocking on specific gpu's mining a specific algo, which is also another valid point.
Some of my rigs are auto switching algo's and some are mining singles.
Yes, Sir. The first time I mine I used Nichash to change the automatic algo, then I read and practiced what I read manually. it takes a long time to know between manual and auto switch (coin). as well as sacrificing a lot of profit because RIG is supposed to be in use mining, this is done to practice what I read. but all wasted profit is not a problem for a knowledge. (for me)
