1  Bitcoin / Project Development / App developers: Can you create a consumer app that uses blockchain technology an on: July 26, 2018, 11:43:21 AM
Blockchain is one of the most cutting-edge technologies, but developers haven’t had access to a consumer-ready cryptocurrency that can be easily integrated into the mainstream apps and platforms they create. The Kin Developer Program wants to change this, so you can start building meaningful experiences in your apps that are powered by cryptocurrency.

We’ve allocated nearly $3M to up to 25 qualified developers who successfully create earn, spend, and peer-to-peer use cases for the Kin cryptocurrency in their apps. This can be a consumer app built completely from scratch or a new feature that integrates Kin into your existing app.

Up for the challenge? How will you use blockchain technology to create the next killer app? The deadline for submissions is August 10. You can find out more (and apply to the program) here: www.kinecosystem.com/dev

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: KIN will be the MOST USED CRYPTO IN THE WORLD by the end of 2018! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on: May 27, 2018, 11:42:01 AM
I don't think so, do I need Kin tokens to access the platform, for me the answer is NO, I think what people don't understand is that mosto the tokens are useless, if there is no need to hold it to use the platfrom what is the incentive for the token buyers and investors

...and with 10 trillion (10,000,000,000,000) coin supply...it is basically worthless. Cheesy

Not touching it.  There are way better coins out there. Wink

yeah, the supply from KIN make me doubt to invest in this cryptocurrency
i can said, its hard to grow my friend,
hope there will be a burning mechanism to reduce the total supply from KIN

That's just a ridiculous comment, proving you didn't spend more than one hot second trying to understand the economics or the idea behind the token or its supply.
I'll only refer you to this comment on the Kin subreddit, providing some sense to the supply:

My list is BTC, ETH, NEO, XLM, KIN.

Why XLM and KIN?
Because in a month or so the two start working together and will strengthen each other.
Kin is about to onboard big partner to the existing 15M of Kik that will use Kin's platform. All their transaction will be on the Stellar network.
Think about it: just within a year or so, millions of users who start using Kin to earn and spend and do it over the Stellar network.
It's going to be Massive.

You wrote all that and couldn't include one sentence in your post about what KIN is?  You'll be get much better engagement if you provide people with some information!

Thanks for that. I edited.

Hi all,

I'm the community manager for Kin.

In a nutshell: Kin (KIN) is a decentralized cryptocurrency token issued on Ethereum, an open-source public blockchain. It was created by Kik Interactive in September 2017 in a token distribution event, raising over $98 million from 10,000 participants. The purpose of the token is to facilitate value transfers in digital services such as gaming applications and social media, and will initially be launched on the Kik messenger to leverage the application's 15 million monthly active users. Use of Kin over other tokens is incentivized by providing a daily reward to developers of these digital services based on their usage.

I'd really love to get a genuine opinion.
Have you heard of Kin? What is your standpoint about the project?

Kin is aiming to bring crypto to the masses. In Q2-Q3 of 2018 we will be announcing major partnerships with B2C companies, a full implementation of Kin's SDK's and the launch of our Kin Reward Engine (KRE - our monetisation mechanism). There's a lot to come and I'd love to get your insights.

We're super active on Telegram and Reddit and I want to ask you as crypto experts how you think we, Kin, should engage and educate the masses on what we're doing and maybe crypto in general.

What are your thoughts?
