Why are governments so scared of Bitcoin, if they can regulate it's use. The first defensive tool seem to be banning the technology, which in my opinion should be the last resort. For me holding always win, because long term holding always brings you profit, yes it is not like day trading that will gave you a lot of profit when you keeps on winning, but when you are holding your coin it will lessen the risk to lose it all. I am a holder and a trader I can say that both are good.
