Kryptium app version 1.3.0 is now released!

This version builds on the feedback that we received from the Kryptium community during the last months:
✅ Simplified betting transactions by using only the betting wallet
✅ Cancelled the need for betting accounts
✅ Improved support for "non-sports" events

About

This is the first campaign of Kryptium aiming at introducing the platform to a larger audience. The campaign consists of 2 phases:

• Phase 1: Join the Kryptium community and get a chance to be one of the 10 lucky members who will receive a WELCOME prize of $30.00 in ETH (not in “funny” coins!).
• Phase 2: The 10 WELCOME prize winners will have the option to go after one of the 2 KRYPTIUM PIONEER prizes of $100 in ETH (each), simply by placing 4 bets within a specific period using the Kryptium app.

Terms and Conditions

Phase 1

Joining period: 31 March 2019, 00:00 UTC to 6 April 2019, 23:59 UTC

To join the draw for the 10 WELCOME prizes, you will need to do the following by the end of the “joining” period:

• Have a Twitter account which is more than 90 days old and with at least 50 “real” followers based on the report of twitteraudit.com for your account.
• Have a BitcoinTalk account which is more than 90 days old and with activity greater than or equal to 10.

• Join Kryptium’s channel on Telegram: https://t.me/kryptium
• Download the Kryptium betting app from https://kryptium.io/#try_it and install it on your desktop/laptop. Open the app and click on the “coins” icon (on the top right) to open the “My Money” tab on the sidebar. Take a screenshot of the whole window of the Kryptium app, including the QR code of your new betting wallet. Upload it on webqr.com to make sure that the QR code can be recognised. See below example.
  
• Post the screenshot on Twitter with a message including the hashtag #Kryptium. It goes without saying that the message should not be negative for Kryptium.
• Submit a post in this thread for authentication purposes. The format of the post should be:

Announcement of Phase 1 winners: 7 April 2019 by 23:59 UTC

The list of participants will be available on this spreadsheet
For the draw we will use the “Third-party Draw Service” of RANDOM.ORG. We will randomly reorder the list from the spreadsheet and pick the first 10 participants as winners.


Payment: 8 April 2019 by 23:59 UTC

The WELCOME prizes of $30 will be sent directly to the betting wallets of the winners in ETH at the then current USD/ETH exchange rate (which will be published on this thread).


Phase 2

IMPORTANT: If we have less than 10 winners in Phase 1, Kryptium Team might consider cancelling Phase 2. Participation of Phase 1 winners in Phase 2 is optional.

Betting period: 9 April 2019, 00:00 UTC to 11 April 2019, 23:59 UTC

To join the draw for the 2 KRYPTIUM PIONEER prizes, Phase 1 winners will need to do the following by the end of the “betting” period:

• Transfer any amount you wish from your betting wallet to your betting account. Make sure that you leave at least $2 worth of ETH in your betting wallet for the payment of transaction fees!
• Open, join or match a total of 4 bets.
• The stakes of these bets should not be less than the “minimum amount”*. So, make sure that you also don’t match a bet with a required stake of less than the “minimum amount”!
• All bets should be placed using the betting wallet you provided during Phase 1.

* The “minimum amount” will be $1.00 worth of ETH at the then current exchange rate. To avoid any misunderstandings, we will post on this thread the exact value of the “minimum amount” in ETH by 8 April 2019.


Announcement of Phase 2 winners: 12 April 2019 by 23:59 UTC

For the second draw we will use again the “Third-party Draw Service” of RANDOM.ORG. We will randomly reorder the list of Phase 2 participants from the spreadsheet and pick the first 2 participants as winners. A link to the result of the second draw on RANDOM.ORG will be posted on this thread. Note that winners will need to continue been followers of Kryptium’s Twitter account and members of Kryptium’s Telegram channel in order to receive their prizes. Also they should not have deleted their post on Twitter. If any of the Phase 2 winners does not meet all the criteria, we will pick the next winner from the list and so on until we find 2 eligible winners.

Kryptium v.1.1.0 is out with support for HEAD-TO-HEAD BETS!
For those familiar with bet exchanges, Kryptium now supports both back and lay bets
without compromises on the intuitive user experience of the app.

For those who have expressed concerns about Ethereum’s tps performance and scalability
as well as its suitability for Kryptium’s truly decentralised betting platform, there are some
good news after the Constantinople upgrade.
On 2nd March, Ethereum was the fastest it's ever been! 6,402 blocks and 13.35 second block times.

For those of you who have downloaded the app and opened or joined one or more pool bets, keep in mind that this is just the start!
Kryptium Team is already working to add support for head-to-head bets which are planned for version 1.1.0.

Head-to-head bets will give 100% control to those who open them. You will be able to wager any stake you wish, no matter how big or small it is,
and define your own odds! And the fun doesn’t stop here. You will also be able to define any combination of possible outcomes as your winning forecast!
So, for example, for a football (soccer) match that has possible outcomes “home win”, “draw” or “away win”, a bet forecast can be any of these possible outcomes
(e.g. “home win”) or even a combination of 2 outcomes (e.g.  “draw or away win”). Or, in a horse race with 10 runners,
you could very well bet on the 3 horses that you think have the most chances to come first.

Stay tuned because head-to-head bets will also play an important role in our upcoming “bounty” campaigns!

In addition to the above, it is important to note that Kryptium betting houses can be deployed not only on Ethereum
but also on any Solidity-compatible network, such as Ethereum Classic, Expanse, PIRL, Callisto, Ellaism, POA and Musicoin.
The Kryptium app already supports easy switching from the default (Ethereum) to other compatible networks!

You are right, heavy usage of Kryptium could clog the blockchain just like the Cryptokitties did. This is a known issue for Ethereum but it is also known that Eth developers working (Plasma, State channels, POS) in order to fix the the tps and scalability issues.
We are also considering the usage of ipfs as an additional decentralized storage of our DApp

Did you tried our app Kryptium? We are really interested to get feedback from users. Please note that Kryptium isn't a site(Web application) but a desktop application available on Windows, Linux and Mac OS. It works similar to Desktop crypto wallets and currently has deployed smart contract on Ethereum, Ellaism, Callisto, Ethereum Ropsten and Rinkeby testnets. So it's possible to try the application on testnets using currencies with zero fiat value.

Ethereum is 2 years ahead. There are a lot of developers already writing smart contracts using solidity, the internet is full of stuff to help devs for doing this and interact with its blockchain. It has been forked heavily like Bitcoin and Monero, it has even a permissioned blockchain clone(Quorum).
I am sure that sooner or later Cardano will find the developers community required to succeed but to surpass Ethereum nope

Ethereum works just fine given the existing DApps adoption. Sure in the future it will need to solve the missing cap, scalability and transaction costs issues
