1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: March 02, 2018, 11:19:43 PM
That isn't a very low fee for the transaction you did mate. Moreover it is possible there may be no much congestion when you made the transaction, hence the reason why it was quite fast but all the same 0.0034 isn't a small transaction fees,Mass adoption right now might lead to more crowding (higher fees, slower confirmations), I think they should SOLVE the scaling problem(s) ASAP and maybe find a way to STOP the spammers.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: March 02, 2018, 12:54:53 PM
Its nothing like that. It doesn't matter if bitcoin confirmations are slow or what. When you send you bitcoins you can not really revert the payment so the buyer is is assured that he will get his money. Also, you can negotiate fees and ask buyer to pay half and you will pay half that way confirmation would be faster. the only problem is the damn coffee or soem case of real life usage, but bitcoin is not good yet for micro transactions we all know this, speculation is good now for bitcoin, it help the value grow where it should be
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin about the free world, but not for us in the Middle East! on: March 02, 2018, 09:03:45 AM
Buy bitcoin in localbitcoins.com or in coinbase they are the trusted site when it comes to that one, and the issue in the Middle East I don't know about it, maybe it is not yet accepted it on where country you live in. If you aren't happy with that, don't buy Bitcoins, try to make profit online only by working on the internet and using, of course, decentralized online services that don't have any restriction over your country.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people fear 1st Aug hardfork? on: March 01, 2018, 03:15:06 PM
Because there could be a coin split and people are worried about that. That's exactly we all are anxious. We fear splitting bitcoin into two.
So price might go up or fall really hard. Soft fork ? Sounds great but too many greedy people don't agree (I really don't know much why ).
To my mind, it's the matter of experience. Experienced users see much further, than newcomers, so they consider hardfork just as a "working moment"
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x support growing day by day, WHY FORK FUD and PANIC on: March 01, 2018, 07:42:29 AM
Still I see tons of people crying about potential fork. Cmmon people, we all know by the end of this week SegWit2x support s probably going to go over 95%. Why do you buy that FUD about Bitcoin fork..But otherwise the markets would be sooooo boring without action would they?....Who would trade in a flat market? Many people cry because they're afraid of evolution and change. That's something we saw in the last few months from people from several "camps". Although comprehensible it's sad to see people taking things to the extreme.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halvening! Can I buy Bitcoins at this high price? on: February 28, 2018, 09:42:22 AM
You can buy bitcoin anytime you want but it is your decision because it may rise more or dump. But I think you still can buy with todays price, we may experience some more pumps the following weeks before halving. Just be ready with what may be the outcome.I suggest you to buy small amounts daily instead of buying large amount in one time
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending bitcoin without the miner fees ! on: February 27, 2018, 09:25:13 AM
If a transaction goes unconfirmed for too long, it will eventually disappear from the network. Most clients will remove it from their pool of unconfirmed transactions at some point. And yes, the money should return to your account. You need to remember about applying appropriate fee size to every transaction unless you want to get your money stuck. The only way to send BTC's without miners bounty is to do it through some website
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitcoin is about to be Centralized on: February 26, 2018, 01:30:49 PM
It couldn't possibly be that maybe we don't want to sell?  That we realise fiat monopoly money is going to be printed into oblivion and the IOUs will approach near-worthless as time rolls on?  That we know they have a laughable security record and cost their customers time, money and effort with each and every fraud the banksters have enabled with their flawed and insecure system. On the other hand, I don't doubt for a second that eventually the authorities will begin knocking on doors.  Our hope is they run out of money (or political support) to pay for enforcement troops before they do.  Make friends with a cop and get him started on Bitcoin in order to educate them.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: February 26, 2018, 11:23:36 AM
I think splitting them up is a good idea. I split my coins in increments of 10, I have been thinking about lowering to 5, that way if I need to sell some without compromising my other coins, i just redeem the 5 coin, or better yet, have  a mixture. 1 25btc, 3 10btc, and the rest 5btc.With 10 paper wallets you risk them being destroyed. You also have the problem of not having a true hot wallet in order to send bitcoins on the fly with unless you carry the paper wallet in addition to your phone and scan in the key.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit on Bitcoin has Failed , BTC Core has Lost , The Miners have Won on: February 25, 2018, 03:27:17 AM
But Bitcoin Core does not care. They will run this out till November, no issue. They see BTC as a 'store of value' not a currency. So they really don't careif the block size increases or not. Thus it is more of an issue to the miners.Segwit & LN are the Power Grap, if that fails then BTC Core fails.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doubler... on: February 24, 2018, 01:08:36 PM
It's more that two copies of the same bitcoin will be created (one with segiwt and one without). While it is needed to activate segwit, there should be a way created that completely destroyes the other bitcoin. It probably will happen that it will break into two blockchains, as I'm not sure how much hashpower will be behid the non-segwit bitcoin but all it takes it one core to be mining the currency (on an incompatable) segwit release and then thre will be the separate currency creasted (much less power and userbase behind it but still a separate chain) - and it doesn't take much to get that second chain running.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with cash from sales on: February 23, 2018, 11:34:35 PM
Are you talking about sales from selling crypto? I personally only sell what I have to, which is pretty much just loans. I put almost all of my other earnings in bitcoin.I sell only a small percentage of my bitcoins by transferring it to my localbitcoins wallet to meet my family expenses.I always plan to save the remaining bitcoins safely in my wallet for my future.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High school dropout who invested in bitcoin is now a millionaire at 18 on: February 22, 2018, 11:56:25 PM
I did read this the other day on reddit. We all wish to be this guy and retire early, even tho he is the type of guy that keeps going after getting rich. He invested his initial bitcoins into a business, then bought back by selling the business from what I've read.to the last part of not dropping out of school. Even Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg with their wealth will not encourage anyone to drop out of school for any reason. If I had been in his shoes at that age, I would have taken the same decision because at that time, I wont have any need for the money afterall so its an educated guess anyone would have taken and nothing special happen just that he took the decision more favorable to him.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the future of bitcoin is brighter then any other currency in the world. on: February 22, 2018, 11:25:04 AM
Now it looks like the price is constantly rising but you have to now that it doesn't have to be always like this. Volatility is natural for bitcoin ad price gets up and down all the time. This just proves that more and more people are getting intersted in cryptocurrency. And Btc is like the most powerful currency amongst most of them because other crypto's adjust there price accordingly.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree that Bitcoin is nearly to be just like another business? on: February 20, 2018, 11:40:11 PM
What I experienced could really change my life in terms of income With the investment I get from bitcoin also there are only about 300,000 stores in Japan that are currently accepting bitcoin. It was designed to run at the principles of business. How else would people around the world pay millions of dollars pay day in electricity cost to provide security in the system..
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrencies Will Never Be Safe Havens on: February 20, 2018, 12:57:09 PM
I read the whole thing, nothing new here it is obvious they are pro gold and they claim it is a store of value despite the fact that we do not know how much gold there is and how much it is going to be, In the digital-age that we are living, Crypto-currencies are the most practical store of value as long as the internet exists. If we are at the point where the internet is no longer and the world is in total chaos, then what good is gold and silver anyway? People will be more worried about food and survival each day.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to launch an independent bitcoin network ? on: February 20, 2018, 11:27:47 AM
Yes, it's possible.  You need a different genesis block, and probably a different port number However, you wouldn't get far if you bounded your currency to a specific community. Specialization and interconnection of our global economy lead to greater prosperity and world peace.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what's up with the bitcoin transactions on: February 19, 2018, 10:19:24 AM
Yes, to pay the miners to push thru your transaction.  I think it's not that the network is slow, but sometimes the transaction fee that you paid matters. Bitcoin blocks are almost always full. Since there is a capped size of 1mb per block, and each transaction is worth some bytes, there is a limited number of transactions that may be included in each block. Because of that, you need to "fight" with other users to get your transaction confirmed in the next blocks, this is done by using transaction fees.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The Best Way To Store Your Bitcoins Offline? on: February 18, 2018, 05:42:32 AM
You should not use an outdated version of Electrum. You will have problems sending and fee estimates will be too low. Newest is 2.8.3 at Electrum.org. Electrum explains how to use two computers (one always offline) for cold storage here. Almost no one bothers with this setup anymore since hardware wallets are more secure and inexpensive. Get a hardware wallet.I agree. These are your best bet to guard against any attack you don't want. Having hardware wallets don't share what they have inside. So even if you use them on a virus infested computer you have, it will still store your coins safely.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why there's no Bitcoin Contracts available? on: February 17, 2018, 01:52:16 PM
you need to ask genesismining support why they have finished their other contracts and only have altcoins ones.Dont go cloud mining..sure you can try it out for a small summ just for the lolz.. but I would advice against investing large amounts into it. ROI is terrible, rewards goes down almost daily etc..
