1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: July 13, 2013, 10:52:18 PM
Reading the play by play on the development of these Klondike boards is amazing.  BkkCoins and terrahash, thank you for all of your hard work on this.  And big props to everyone else who is making this a reality in such an aggressive time frame.

Final video before I start debugging the hardware to see why it can't hash when clocked over 275 MHz. The board finally reached 4.0 GH/s!

Excuse me while I wipe a tear of joy from my cheek.

some more details how you got it working?

Even I don't know exactly. I have had very little sleep in the last 3-4 days. I will look at everything again tomorrow and see what I changed that made this work.

Go get some rest.
Thanks for all your hard work!

Awesome news Smiley

The 16 chip board is working now (kind of).

Thank you Terrahash for opening up your office to knightlife999.  I also appreciate the recent efforts in keeping us updated with progress.  Speaking for myself, not hearing from your firm in this forum was one of my biggest concerns.

Now I'll leave you be so you can get those boards hashing Smiley

Hello Everyone,

I made the trip to Terrahash today...

Thank you knightlife999 for going on this trip as you promised.  I think with your efforts, some of the more alarming concerns raised in older posts have been put to rest.  We are dealing with a legitimate start up that has been off to a very rough start.  Things appear to be moving in a positive and acceptable direction.  I am seeing hardware being worked on, multiple updates, and photos from Terrahash.  My comfort level and patience have all been re established.
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: July 09, 2013, 06:44:34 AM
Ok. I will go and visit their office on wednesday or thursday.

This is a very positive development.

knightlife999, thank you very much for making this effort; especially when dealing with kidney stones.
I very much look forward to your report.

And a speedy recovery!

I'm happy to report that Terrahash appears to now have working voicemail. This is a small step in the right direction.  Whether they can respond to everyone's request is another matter nor would it be reasonable for a small startup to be expected to do so.

Still pining for someone to pay them a visit this week or upcoming weekend if possible.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: July 09, 2013, 01:07:45 AM
Obviously some here have exhausted that avenue with Terrahash. I think they are overwhelmed and getting on with other more important bits. In any case someone needs to visit them in person unannounced this week.

Who here can do that??

Well said!

This has been offered up a few times already.  I'm a 24 hr drive away, or I'd have my ass down there pronto.  I will offer up money to help offset reasonable travel expenses. I think it would be fair to ask for video of front of TH's office and some video of inside office.  That would go to tremendous lengths to put people's concerns to rest.

bearsworth, you said you're a couple of hours drive away.  Would you entertain this if we help offset expenses?

I know other posters had concerns about who would be our "person on the ground" so to speak.  How do we agree on that issue?

Only paid for one year of services to the web companies.  RED FLAG!

Domain Name: terrahash.com
Registered at http://www.dynadot.com

Registrant:
TerraHash, Inc.
TerraHash, Inc.
1800 Wyatt Drive, Suite 15
Santa Clara, CA 95054
United States

I own 90+ domains, most on active websites, never pay for more than a year at a time. And I make more $$$ than Terrahash.

-1 red flag

Many domains auto-renew after 1 year, so this neither confirms or denies the scam situation.

PLEASE READ GUYS"
You all know, as a whole, we represent quite a bit of buying power...

MinermanNC,

This is a great idea.  I would certainly be interested and would consider this option before making another solo purchase decision.

I imagine we will know where we stand with TH in the coming weeks if not sooner.

Seriously terrahash? You have nothing to say to us??
I've tried to be patient, but this behavior is ridiculous!

Brutal.
What kind of Demon Spawn company are we dealing with here?  Good Sirs, this is truly the handiwork of Beelzebub.

I live in Sunnyvale ---very close to your office...Can I make a visit?  We'll talk terrahash mining and your experiences with it,  I'll buy you a coffee or a sandwich.  After the convo I can post replies onto this board of the impression I had visiting your office and hopefully garner you more reinforced "credibility"  I am interested in looking at prototypes if you don't mind - just to acknowledge with everyone else that you have real Proof of concept units and not rendered drawings.  Sorry I'm not trying to come off as overbearing or skeptical, I just want you to know where I stand.T  hink "lab_rat" visit to BFL labs Smiley

Most of us are out right now. We will be available in the office after 3:00pm. You are more than welcome to visit anytime after that. We'll be there till 6:00.

Did anything ever come of this visit?  I do not recall an update being posted.

Im still troubled by the fact that bkkcoins has not heard a peep from terrahash for sometime now and has no idea of what they are doing, I trust bkkcoins. So we have not heard a peep and he has not head a peep....so whats up? ...I am still trying to give them benefit of the doubt" but the silence treatment" is getting old. Terrahash, if your reading this and you are in a jam, tell us so and what your plan is, most of us can understand and may be willing to work with you or help perhaps? But we can't if you don't tell us so.

Well said, and very patient to give Terrahash the benefit of the doubt.

At present:

- I was last able to contact Amir yesterday by phone after calling in multiple times throughout the day.
- I offered to receive a BTC refund (I originally paid by wire) and am not interested in any more delays. Terrahash would not issue BTC refund and stated it must be by wire.
- I forwarded my bank details for the wire refund as instructed by Amir.  I followed up via email today to get an update that the wire has been processed.  For example, a reference number or something.  I sent Terrahash a screenshot of the funds clearing my bank account to prove my wire was being processed when I originally ordered.
- As of 3:45 PM PST, I have not been able to get through by phone or have my emails answered for confirmation of a refund.
- I have also not seen any wire transfer come in on my bank account
- As you can imagine, my patience has worn through.  No normal business would let a situation escalate to this point unless there is something seriously amiss.

....

Also, they have no internet at their new office, which is why they have not been able to respond to the forum concerns or support tickets.

....

Sounds like a load of BS. They were online on this forum as of 20 minutes ago and they still have not given ANY update or fulfilled their promise to provide information to paying customers:

Why are they online and reading all of the complaints on this forum and refraining from giving any response ?!?!?!

Just to clarify.  That post pertaining to me getting in contact with them today was complete satire.  I have thus far emailed them today and attempted to reach them by telephone about a dozen times.  They are not answering the phone or responding to emails or support tickets.

For my friends at Terrahash, here is some light reading on the State of California and its position on fraud: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=pen&group=00001-01000&file=484-502.9

daydream?

No, daymare.

Well I have some great news!!!

 Shocked

I just got through to Terrahash.

They're voicemail system is now all setup.  It's very professional.

They responded to my ticket and were very apologetic.

Apparently they are diligently soldering each and every board with care. This is taking up an inordinate amount of their time.

Also, they have no internet at their new office, which is why they have not been able to respond to the forum concerns or support tickets.

And lookie here!  My refund just arrived in cash via courier.

I had these guys all wrong.

18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: July 03, 2013, 07:54:31 PM
Ticket input for cancellation 2 minutes ago for order #548.. Enjoy the bump up in the queue (hopefully).  Best of luck to you all. I hope Terrahash comes back and unveils that they have secretly been working on improvements, and that everyone's hash rate is now doubled for no extra cost.

 Undecided

A big wave of dispair washes over Scornflakes.

I cancelled my order yesterday.  Paid via wire; was told must be refunded over wire as well.  I offered to take BC.  Tried calling several times today, they're not answering phone.  In fact, their v/m is still not set up.

This whole thing is either a scam, the people that are running things over there don't give a rats ass, or they're utterly incompetent.

I have run multiple businesses over the past decade; I would never dream of treating my clients the way Terrahash treats its PAYING customers.

any update on them shipping?

No, defintely not on shipping yet,,,still waiting to hear if paypal orders are still in or not?

I think PayPal uses a very heavy handed approach in dealing with sellers and merchants.  I have used PaPal as an ebay seller and to send funds from one PayPal user account to another.  If you are a new seller on ebay, PayPal will hold your funds in escrow for a minimum of 21 days. Whether you ship the item in a timely manner or not; whether you ship products that are exactly as advertised, PayPal will hold new seller funds in escrow for 21 days.

I recently sent money from my Canadian PayPal account to my US PayPal account.  This transaction is taking approx. 14 days to complete (the funds cleared from my bank in 2 business days).  Both my accounts are in good standing and I have had both PayPal accounts for several years.  Why is PayPal doing this?  Because they can.

What deeply concerns me is PayPal reserves the right to do this: "Payments received in your Account may be reversed at a later time, for example, if such a payment is subject to a Chargeback, Reversal, Claim or is otherwise invalidated."

Even more disturbing, "We may close, suspend, or limit your access to your Account or the PayPal Services, and/or limit access to your Balance for up to 180 Days (or longer if pursuant to a court order or other legal process)"

The two clauses are in PayPal's current PayPal User Agreement: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=ua/UserAgreement_full&locale.x=en_US

I would be quite reserved in believing that Terrahash will find a favorable response from PayPal in reagards to having their funds released.  There is no benefit for PayPal to move quickly on this matter.  Interest is accruing in PayPal's favor each and every day.

It makes me firmly believe that a technology like bitcoin is long overdue to free us from the abuse of companies like PayPal.
