Thanks for your help!
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 220V Electric on: January 24, 2018, 07:47:13 PM
When I put the clamp on each line it gives me 18amp, but there are 2 lines so 18 amp on each = 36 to a circuit of 30(220). Why do I get 18 on each line? Isn't it supposed to be 9 amp on each line (2) to get 18 amp?

Hi guys,
If I have 3 S9s connected to a 15x2amp Circuit Breaker (220v). How many amps should I get per line (2)?

Thanks,

I see you are pushing the hot air out the window.. where is the cool inlet air coming from? If this is an inclosed garage, wouldn’t this cause negative air pressure?  Reason I ask is I’m thinking about doing this in my garage since I can’t find a good hosting company for my S9s. Thanks!

It would be too hot to run in my garage, it's in a bedroom. The cool air is being generated via a portable AC, with the intake hose outside of the room pulling in air from the rest of the house.

If you're going to run in your garage, just make sure it's not too hot and that you have good airflow (intake & exhaust).

Nice Setup!
With 18 L3s you need around 4,000 cfm (18*220cfm) on your "cool room" how much air is your portable AC providing? Same on the "hot room" Be careful with positive and negative pressures.

no. Radiant effects are negligible vs the heat transfer their fans produce.

Thanks!

The shelves on my rack are 120cm wide where I can fit 6 S9 (135mm) and 6 APW3++ (62mm) side by side. Am I going to have problems with the radiant heat?

BTW thanks to all of you for your help!

Dividing the room in a “cool” and “hot” room with the outtake fans going into the hot room. On the cool room I’ll be pushing 11,000 cfm matching the intake of miners. On the hot room having a little more extraction to have a negative static pressure.

How many amps should I calculate for an S9 considering it gets hot (35C) in the summer? I'll have pretty good ventilation system.
I'm doing this calculation 1350w / 220V = 6.13amp. Is this right?
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / KVA transformer needed for 50 S9 220V on: December 02, 2017, 01:04:31 PM
Hi,
Planning on building a farm. Just ordered 50 S9s 13.5Th (1323W). I’m not sure how to calculate the KVA needed for a three phase transformer for that amount of antminers. Will be using 220V.
Thx for your help.

12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Which PDU for S9s? on: November 25, 2017, 07:07:26 AM
Hi,
I´ll be connecting 20 S9s, and I´ve been looking a these PDUs:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Do-not-mine-on-110V-5-2kW-Four-Outlet-PDU-for-Antminer-S9-L3-T9-S7-/182469461559

https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/product/pdu/pdu30bhvt8r/

I would like to connect 4 S9 to each PDU, is it ok?

Thanx

How many S9s did you connect to the PDU?

Forgot to say electricity is less than 1 cent.
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Farm with "Hot Room" and "Cold Room" on: November 21, 2017, 05:11:24 PM
I've seen some youtube videos of people using the "Hot Room" where all the hot air from the miners is being blown to. And the "Cold Room" where the miners are placed in racks and the temp is lower. Need advice on the following questions:

Lets say I have 20 S9's blowing 200CFM each = 4,000 CFM, and in the summer It gets hot 40C.

In the Hot Room, should I place a vent (intake fresh air from outside) of 5,000 CFM + $4,000 from the miners, and remove it with another vent of 9,000 - 10,000 CFM? or do I go only with the outtake fan equaling what the miners are blowing into?

In the Cool Room, I need to supply them with 4,000 CFM of air. I have an A/C of 5 Tons (2,000 cfm only), so do I need 2,000 of fan vent from outside? If so, what is the point of having a 5 ton A/C if the air from outside is warm-hot?

Thanks in advance for your help.
16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: APW3++ Dimensions on: November 21, 2017, 02:49:46 AM
I was 100% sure they weren't  there. Went back to make sure and found them. 220mm*108mm*62mm.

Thx

I just ordered 6 S9 and 6 APW3++ and want to plan how to setup my mining rack. Can someone pls tell me the dimensions of the apw3++?

Thanks,

Hello,

I'm an entrepreneur from Pakistan. One of my companies is into rental power where we generate electricity and sell it to the government. I have over 5MW in surplus that I can use for a mining operation. I can also invest heavily into buying state of the art miners. Wanted to know what are the profits like per miner and how to setup operations. Also how sure shot is this business and if the miners consistently generate income streams.

The location is centrally air conditioned with a 100MBPS internet connection.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Jahanzaib

Mining profit is mainly based on the electricity cost if you have free electricity then you can be a millionaire soon.I think S9 miners are the best to mine bitcoins so buy some miners and place it in your room. The earning per miners will be $ 1000 a month because you don't have to pay the electricity bills.

Could you explain the $1000 a month with an S9 with $0 electricity? I get on mining calculations around $470 a week.
