One of the promising project I saw this year. The Scavo project is very good for us. Especially the concept of the project is very nice and they have a good purpose. I really like about the project things. By the way, a great team behind this project and they are doing very well in improving that project to success... I hope this project developing well and become a successful one in the future. Good luck to the victory.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: August 28, 2018, 02:43:10 PM
Never liked Eth  once they did the fork to roll back the huge theft It got 2 coins stuck in a wallet I have on a mac mini.

I have never been able to get the wallet to synch.  It simply reaches the fork date  and freezes.  Even with  a 2tb ssd it wont go past that point.

Never got a good solution  for it.  I email and pm'd them  there were 3 or 4 of us with the issuse one guy had 6 coins stuck another had 11.

So I simply  gave up on the coin.  When it got over 1000  I spent days trying to free the wallet up  and simply a no go.

Now it is around 287.50    so  I pretty much think it will tank to under 200 soon.

Hi phill
If you have you keystore file you can unlock your wallet via myetherwallet and then move your coin

I had this issue in the past and it was faulty psu, any load on system ( lunching miner) caused gpu fan 100% --> system freeze or restarts

Hi guys

Strange behaviors on one of my rigs.

8 X msi rx 570 4g elpida memory
Asus prime z270 a
8 gb ram
120 gb ssd drive
intel g4400
blockchain driver

as you can see the last card has periodically 0 value in memory controller load and hashrate drop.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: July 10, 2017, 05:10:29 AM
@ Citronick, What CPU would you recommend for that board? i3, i5?
ram? I'm thinking about getting one too.
Thanks for any info.

does look cool a 13 card board.

I have to think use  an i5  6400t  but not sure.

Wouldnt you need like an i7? i wouldnt think the i3 and i5 have enough pcie bandwidth... my understandings is each 1x pcie slot reserves 2 channels on pcie controller..... the motherboard may be compatible with the lower cpu's but do they have enough channels to fully use the motherboard fully??

ive read that i3 with 16 channels can only support up to 8 gpu's max

ive read that i5 with 16 channels can only support up to 8 gpu's max

ive read that i7 with 28 channels can only support up to 14 gpu's max

I have several rigs with msi z97 gaming 5, all with 7 amd gpu, so i decided to build a rig with 7 nvidia gpu with this type of mobo, it detected all 7 gpus in device manager but one gpu has error code 12 ( not enough resource), it is not to mention that it tried everything in bios also i replaced some gtx 1070 with gtx 970 because of one post i read in this forum about difference between amd and nvidia in  pcie lane handling in among of gpus memory, no success at all, cpu was g3260 and i tried both win 7 and 10, i don't know what is difference between amd and nvidia here!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.6 (Windows/Linux) on: July 01, 2017, 12:39:56 PM
Ok so I have 2 x gtx 970s and 2 x gtx 1060s. Windows 10 how can I possibly run all four at the same time? They use two different video drivers?

I'm a newb but to my knowledge you can't.  I started with a 970 and got it hashing 19 MH/s but was unable to use it and the 1070s I started buying.  I only have 10xx series cards in my windows machine now.  My Linux rig runs 1070s, 1060s and 1 970s all without any trouble however I cannot figure out how to overclock the 970 in Linux so its running around 18.5 MH/s.  But at least its running and I can control the fan speed.  The 10xx series cards all overclock via server-x settings without any problem

What are you using to overclock 10xx cards in Linux and what hash rate are you getting with that?  Are you putting things in xorg.conf that you can share or are you changing in the GUI nvidia-settings?  I changed in the GUI, but it didn't have any effect.  Or are you executing on the command line?

I also have 2X1070 8GB and 1X 970 in my Rig.

the 2 1070 makes 29MH/s while the 970 only makes 2.3MH/s

Is there any solution? Windows 10 64bit, latest Nvidia driver. Claymore's 9.6

Thank You

I have the same issue , i also tried etherminer and it did hash very slow for GTX 970 , !

Guys, get your ethminers ready...

Tried alexis with 970, 47 on myr-gr and 335 on skein.

I get invalid argument from alexis on myr-gr with my 970s, would you please share your commands
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.0 (Windows/Linux) on: February 20, 2017, 07:42:03 AM
I switched back to ver 11.1 because of stability, i tried lowering intensity, clock and increase voltage but no success.
the interesting point was the crashed gpus (390) did not work normal even after windows restart, they were hashing around 40 sols where other gpus did 380.
so i was forced to uninstall and reinstall gpu in device manager.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig freezes with 5 or 6 GPU attached on: January 31, 2017, 05:59:47 AM
Hello everyone, I was hoping someone might have some insight for me about why my rig may be freezing.

I have
H97 anniversary mobo
4gig RAM
Cheapo CPU
6 MSI RX 480 Gaming X 8GB

The rig will freeze if I have 5 or 6 GPUs attached. The driver will constant fail, freeze, and sometimes reset the pc. The rigs will freeze mining Monero and Ethereum.

I have done a full system reset. Installed only the necessary drivers plus GPU drivers, set the virtual memory to 16gb min and 32gb max. What else may I be missing.

I appreciate any help.

Thank you.

Do you use custom rom for those 480?
any undervolting?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v11.0 (Windows/Linux) on: January 15, 2017, 10:36:01 AM

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm getting 260-267 h/s on 10 Sapphire Nitro+ rx 480 OC 8gb cards totaling 2580 - 2610 h/s (stock bios). According to GPU-Z, each card draws an average of 115w (core), but shows intermittent spikes no greater than the maximum specified power consumption for the card (225w). Running Windows 10 on both rigs with crimson V. 16.11.5 (this is the most recent update, that I've found, that will recognize a bios mod).

GPU Settings:

Core clock = 1400
Mem clock = 2040
Voltage = +6 mV
Fan = 100%
Pow lim = +50%

.bash Settings
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0                                     |
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100                                    |-----------> The hashrate was more consistent once I added these variables. You don't have to use
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1                                  |                  them for 4gb cards or above.
SET GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT = 100            _____|
Stratum-Port: 3336
-i 8
-allpools 1

First Rig:

Motherboard: MSI z97 Gaming 5
CPU: Pentium Haswell 3258
PSU: EVGA Supernova P2 1200w Platinum (ran my first 7 cards on this rig for a while, but could only run at -i 2 and no overclock)
SSD: 120gb (partitioned for Ubuntu (30gb) and Windows 10 (90gb))
Memory: 8gb DDR3 1600 (2 x 4gb (2x > 1x))
GPU: 5x Sapphire Nitro+ rx 480 OC 8gb (stock bios).
Risers: The green ones with the black usb cable??
Display: HDMI Headless Display Adapter (Only one is needed for the FIRST PCI-e slot recognized by the motherboard).
*Power button needed
***Remote access only

Second Rig:

Motherboard: Gigabyte ga-z97x Gaming 7
CPU: Pentium Haswell 3258
PSU: Rosewill Photon 1050w Gold Rated + SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W Gold Rated (connected with dual PSU adapter)
SSD: 120gb (partitioned for Ubuntu (30gb) and Windows 10 (90gb))
Memory: 8gb DDR3 1600 (2 x 4gb (2x > 1x))
GPU: 5x Sapphire Nitro+ rx 480 OC 8gb (stock bios).
Risers: The black ones with the blue usb cable??   <------Better quality than the green ones. I recommend these.
Display: HDMI Headless Display Adapter (Only one is needed for the FIRST PCI-e slot recognized by the motherboard).
*Power and reset buttons are included ON this motherboard! Amazing.
***Remote access only

I could do 8 cards on the MSI Gaming 5 (7x PCI-e + 1x M.2 ---> PCI-e adapter), but the rig lost some stability once I went over 6x GPUs, even with enough power. The Gigabyte ga-z97x Gaming 7 can house 7 cards (6x PCI-e + 1x M.2 ---> PCI-e adapter), but as I said before, stability seemed to become more of an issue with more than 6x GPUs. Each rig has been running for about a week without any resets or crashes. Just in case the miner or machine does crash, I have made some simple .bash scripts to restore all of my settings and programs upon reset. I have also used the Windows Event Log and Manager to reset in the event of a freeze crash. So all in all, I plan to have 6 cards per rig and I'll probably have to add another PSU to the first rig when I reach that point.

When it comes to power supplies, it is almost ALWAYS cheaper to buy 2x units and an adapter, than it is to shell out the money for even a 1200w PSU. My EVGA Supernova P2 1200w Platinum was about $220 (on sale), but I could have bought 2x  700w-850w PSUs + a convergence adapter for 2/3 the price. Also, Never purchase a PSU with a rating less than gold; it will save you both time and money in the long run.

*This is a great PSU reference guide.

On a final note, I am aware that there are mods to allow for more than 4 GPUs on Windows 7 and more than 5 GPUs on Windows 8, but save yourself from a giant, time consuming pain in the d!<k hole and just kiss the ring and buy Windows 10. I can assure you that the $100 is worth it.

no need 4 win 10 its a 1min mod and u can buy great psu's for under 100 that are 1kw+ used on ebay all day either mod cheap server psus or buy oems or buy brand name like yours above me personally i only buy single rail psu's why im fond of the old pc power and cooling before ocz buy out but there are others but the pcp&c are great in low ripple super clean single rail i have 1kw-1200w ver of them 10 years old still kickin some r newer

I tried several drivers but no success on running more than 5 rx 470 on my win 7 rigs, lbr mod did work great for my 480 rigs but not 470.

What is the hashrate for r9 390 and 390x should i move to xmr from zec ? I'm concerned about diff. Thx
i just tested on 390x out of the box stock settings gives me ~830h running stable for over 3h now
altho evry rig with rx470 or 480 hangs whole rig between 10-60min of running on stock settings also, any tips anyone?

same here my 470 & 480 rigs are unstable for monero, i tried to reduce memory clock and increase voltage but no change,
they are all have modded bios for eth
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: December 22, 2016, 07:27:17 AM
you could squeeze 21.7 on ethash / 230-40 on equihash with 970...
I didn't know the xmr score though

How could you achieve these hashrate?! my zotac extereme do 18.7 eth ( zotac overclocked them heavily ) and my gigabytes 970 g1 do 17.5

New feeminer for zcash (2% fee):

250MHASH works on all pools.

Can anyone verify it?

The virustotal scan is clean, but the link is posted on a newbie account...

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v8.0 on: December 03, 2016, 09:33:23 AM
OK after a few thousand combinations in BIOS, lots of reboots, crashes and Bluescreens due to "Driver stuck in Thread (or so)" I believe I finally have it running stable for more than 30 minutes:

BUT.. I have three cards .. Yet it only displays Fan and temp for card 0 .. Shouldn't it display for all cards ?

PS: And no, Card #4 is still not working, as soon as I plug it in the mobo disables the SATA adapter.. What a PITA .. Never buy a ASRock Gaming Z170 K6 Board for a rig...  I'm still trying to get that running

for temp check crossfire state of your cards
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v8.0 on: December 02, 2016, 05:45:27 PM
Funny, so I've installed windows on one rig, Win 10 Pro, especialy for Claymore 8 and my 480's and like 10 years go, Win freezes completely on a random basis Smiley

It feels like nothing has changed since XP etc Smiley

Anyone got Win10 running stable on a Z170 based Motherboard ? (Asrock Gaming K6) Ubuntu runs flawless.

Which drivers do you use ? When I'm trying to install 15.12 it just hangs at 2% for the AMD App manager

do you use custom bios for 480?
