Then set the system on freezer that has cooling capacity over your rigs thermal output and you can overclock anything madly.

Or you could make a cascading compressor to cool the oil in the insulated box to archieve same result, but the simple freezer is basically the same stuff in not-so-fancy form.

I have seen this in action once and it worked like charm.

prepare the tinfoil hats. Greece and Ireland are the Euro-based economy trouble-areas.

If portugal has also problems then Im shitting bricks.

Now. Consider this:

Tycho is doing superb job. He is also getting handsomely paid to do so (tax + transaction fees?).

He also demonstrates that bitcoin pooling is great way to attract people when you do it properly and keep it honest and working open system.

The logical conclusion is this : You should repeat the idea if you have capability of doing so - exactly like Tycho is doing; he has the wheel. Dont re-invent it! Now its time to blatantant copycatting, since it is so obivious pooling is currently easiest revenue on bitcoin market when you do it realiably and serve the community - just like Tycho.

This is the moment you realize its time to offer similiar quality services to ensure enough competitive pools. How about bitcoin wisemen giving a bonus to few next competitors on pooling market who arcieve more than 15% of total processing power and provide stable platform for pool effort?

Some will switch just for the sake of switching to similiar system. You can also compete with less tax or giving out part of transaction fees to your miners. So you can easily attract miners at this point!

Im ringing for competition. It is obiviously good thing for community now, and its worth doing. ACT NOW FFS, ITS OBIVIOUSLY WORKING. Repeat the idea. Profit. Simple as that!

This will push Tycho to refine his system, now its "too easy" for him, im not saying this angrily or frustrated, but with all do respect, seems deepbit is Ferrari of pooling now. To keep the race meaningful we need serious competitors at same level.

First, thanks for the pool - I tried others and they simply failed at different things. This one works like a charm.

One thing boggles my mind, I run at about 20Mhash/s and it seems quite slow compared to the whole pool. It seems that blocks are solved every now and then before I've even done one shares worth.

Im not too familiar with this stuff... so basically, while Im doing my slow work the fast ones at 200+Mh that catch the right block erase my workloads purpose?

Could this be eased by putting up two (or more) different groups; fast ones and slow ones... so both would be numbercrunching on about same total speed. Once fast ones find the block they get their contributed shares, and once slow one get their block they would share profit with the slow group.

This would make it more even, slow group members would have more time to submit their shares, so there would be less "slow ones doing overtime".

Then again, as I have no deeper view to this stuff it might be totally absurd suggestion....
