Take one down, pass it around...
Interesting turn of phrase. Mr. rifleman74 took one down a couple of weeks or so ago (an S7). He passed it around (to me) for what I believe was a pretty fair deal. There were a couple of issues that were really out of our control, but rifleman74 seems to be a person of character; he helped me out with those issues. So, said S7 (my last Bit.... device, ever) is now plugging away @~4.7 TH/s on Kano Pool. I really appreciate it rifleman74! Mine on!!!

Has the network hashrate ever contracted? Seems it expands and expands regardless of any other factors.
snip snip Pretty sure the difficulty has already adjusted, notice the short shift: a3mwx yuno Apr‑14 02:10:18 12m 25s 14.192M 10.935k 81.87THs 1.030k 13,779.09 0 0 0.00% Also, Kano-san told us when it happened. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg34652346#msg34652346 Mine on!!!

i want to rent some hashrate from nicehash, but it fails to connect, so which port can i use for connecting kanopool by using nicehash?
Kano Pool does NOT allow rental hash. Whether it is or not, it is considered malicious and banned as soon as Kano discovers it. See this thread for why: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1002086.msg10878618#msg10878618

Still haven't got a ship notice on my Dragon. I only ordered after it was confirmed to be real, so who knows when they'll ship it. I will happily point it to a kano test pool, even if that means tricking DNS into thinking that kano.is is ckpool or slush. However, have to receive it first. I can also give Kano a VPN account so he can connect to it and tweak it if needed.
My point exactly, sir. You mine here. The ones that keep popping up to ask have no skin in this game. Unlike us, they have no cares about this pool's ongoing operation. Mine on!!!

~ So Kano, get on their ass about sending you a demo unit for testing! I want to bring my dragons home....
Better idea (also what kano already said) - someone that already has one needs to let kano use it if they want to mine here. Mine on!!!I saw someone offer to test there unit with him but I never saw if it came to fruition I may be mistaken, but I think the only people that made the offer actually mine at Kano Pool. If someone that's already mining here has a DM in hand and hasn't stepped up, it's their own fault they can't use it on this pool. Now, let's crack another BTClock!Mine on!!!

He's not renting hash; he is selling his hash on NH and when the prices are lower it switches to Kano. Folks seem to not be able to figure out that the fees NH charges to rent your hash to them kills any chance of making any gains. Everyone makes their own choices...to each his own! Ah. My mistake on that. Hmmm. I can't think of a way to justify pointing mine away from Kano. MINE ON!!!

Some reason I thought that they pool was blocking all rental hash that was going to be pointed at it? Did I misunderstand this? Seems to me that since the hashrate of the pool has increased so has the number of posts about rentals pointed to the pool and their strange behaviors the present the renter.
No rental hash allowed. If it's sneaking in, maybe that's why our blocks keep going over 100%... It's been said before; rental hash nearly killed this pool. If Kano finds it, he blocks it. Whether it is or not, it's considered malicious. An aside: if you rent hash, point it here, and it causes problems because of the way the lessor set up the machine, who's responsible? NiceScam? No. The lessor? No. It falls on YOU. Not having full control of the hardware you're using is about as smart as not having full control of your wallet. Now, let's crack this BTClock!! Mine on!!!

im not the right person to explain how it works but the ramp up system in this pool was created to keep pool hoppers away so, once you point your miners to this pool it will take about 8 days at the current pool hash rate for them to be fully rewarded at the their full 23th or whatever your hash rate is. also if you are fully ramped up and you leave the pool you will get rewarded as you ramp down, so you get rewarded even tho you are not mining in the pool for 8 days (at current pool hash rate) until you get down to 0
that is the best i can do as i am really bad at explaining things
Actually, that's a good, concise explanation. +1

What's with the new karama and merits etc. levels? Feel like an android now...
Link here it was launched on 1st April so make of it what you will Only one question: when does the pool change over to the new, Proof-of-Fruitbat algo?

how to set them to restart every 12 hours? please explain
Well I saw a post by a guy that set a cron job like a scheduled task basically that did the restart. I think he had his rig running on a rasbery pi For Windows, I use AutoHotkey to make/run a script that will close and restart cgminer on a timed basis. You can use a smart plug to hard-reset your hub. cron job is the way to go for linux/RasPi.

...I guess the guys now that has 1 Th or so probably have only a bread crumb. But.. a mouse could survive on bread crumbs.
Bread crumbs are better than dust! Also, when I started, dust was around 300-400 GH/s. My napkin now says it's somewhere around 750-950, depending.

I was looking at my worker shift information and noticed that in a few shifts the, Inv Diff had a 0. Should I be concerned? How'd you get it to 0? i'm at .118% invalid and .170% block with 180th/s. I'd love me some 0 invalids! Once Invalid Shares leaves zero, it can never come back to zero for that block. You may still, however, have zero invalid-share shifts within a block. When we solve a block and start on the next one, Invalids resets to zero (no shares submitted, yet). Ideally, you want to keep it there. Noobs like me ask, "Why?" Especially since Invalid shares don't affect your rewards. The short answer: efficiency. If your miner is submitting shares that it should "know" are out-of spec, it is wasting hashes. Almost every machine will produce Invalid shares at start-up; your miner only "knows" what's in its configuration. Once it handshakes and joins the pool to get feedback, things go "normal". To keep Invalids as close to zero as possible requires that you adjust your miner's settings (pool node you're pointed at, frequency, voltage, etc). Your miner's status page (general info), and Kano Pool's Shifts page (~50 minute reference window for time) and Workers>Workers (check Show Details For Invalids) (specific types of Invalids (is the issue network or miner config?)) are helpful here. For folks running new, out-of-the-box, state-of-the-art gear, this isn't too bad. When you have a garden of mostly someone else's problem children or older machines, like I do, it gets fun. Also, a big SHOUT OUT to Interinfinty for making that last block come in under 200%!! MINE ON!!!
