1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Moonlander 2 Driver and Support Thread on: January 02, 2018, 06:58:59 PM
Hi, is therae also NICEHASH Support on that bfgminer for Moonlander? I didn't get a connection to nicehash with 5 Moonlander connected to Raspi/Minera+bfgminer-5.4.2 Cry

It works, but initial diff for nicehash is like 64K + so it could take hours to submit shares. As long as bfgminer is showing that the sticks are hashing you'll have a chance to submit a share, it will just be very slow. If your mining on there over the course of months it wont matter since over a long time you'll submit enough shares that your average hashrate will be what its supposed to be, but if you like watching "Share Submitted" nicehash(and other pools that don't have lower diff ports) is not your best bet.

Im sure if enough of you open tickets with them they will open a "low-diff" port.

thanks for your reply.
what should be the optimal diff for the moonlander on your opinion?

This could be a solution too:

here some new tweaks ... i set tdp on all devices somethink between 50 and 70:

nearly 200watt off seems to be a good result  Grin
teaking it with this webinterface is much more easy.

rx480 is now running at 50% tdp also. hashrate even the same 266sol

thanks and brgds

I like to keep power at 75% or less, but depending on your power cost, perhaps efficiency is less a concern for you than Sol?  Also, I have found that even when setting a power limit of 75%, sometimes that actual power usage is quite a bit higher, especially with 1080Ti's with dual 8-pin connectors.  My Zotac Arcticstorm is a power hog.  I have mine set at 68% but it actually consumes 73%.

But it looks like you have already played around with your settings quite a bit.  One question, did you unlock temp limit from power limit?

yes, i've played a lot with settings but it is getting unstable very fast. efficiency is very important for me, more than sol.

temp is unlocked from tdp on all cards. on that 1060 with 3g i fixed fan to 75% - so it is same 'cold' as that with 6g.

on long runs i get about 0.3% rejected shares - is that normal value ?

Glad you got it working!  Are you running Afterburner?  If so, what are your settings for each card?

Are you using risers?  That one 1060 is running a little hot and I would think you should be able to get better efficiency out of your cards than that.  Thanks for showing that interesting mix of cards in one rig.  On the surface it looks like the 1060 3GB card is perhaps the least desirable card to use with this miner.

there is also one rx480 in this rig, but it doesn't matter.

following config with afterburner (beta16)

1080ti
core+ 40 = 1822
mem stock (micron) = 5022
power 78%

1070 (watercooled)
core stock = 1800
mem+ 600 (samsung) = 4400
power 75%

1060 6g
core+ 122 =1847
mem+ 163 (micron) =3969
power 77%

1060 3g
core+ 84 = 1885
mem+ 236 (samsung) =4032
power 77%

i am using v6 and v7 risers.

Result:

Powerusage complete rig (+rx480 @ 280 soll, Celeron 3900, 4GB DDR4, 1500Watt PSU):

how to get these statistics (website?) ? is it an extra application or buildin in ewbf ?

Build in.  Just add this to your .bat file:

--api 10.0.1.201:42000

You will want to change the IP to that of your machine, or just use 127.0.0.1:42000 if you only want to be able to point a browser to it from your local miner.  I like using the actual IP of the rig so that I can access the stats from any machine on my LAN.

thank you, that works. YAY Grin

my result is:

is that ok or shall i tweak somethink ?

Nothing new for 280x / 290 / 290x?
what do you mean? my 280x only getting 12mh
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Database for AMD RX 4xx/5xx BIOS on: September 05, 2017, 05:27:02 AM
thank you, really nice tool ... but on my shitty rx480 nitrco+ oc 4GB my own rom is much more stable under same conditions.
but will try it on other cards as well.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 04, 2017, 06:56:38 PM

"Our test bed idles at 138 watts and the entire system consumes an average of about ~385 watts under load while mining."  Big difference than that clickbait 130w.

OK, so this screens is a fake? https://imgur.com/a/1GgvR

And no FAKE that high hashrate iff you look closely they get it on Ubiq NOT ether haha
So DAG file much smaller only way to get higher hashrate so far

i am just testing it and i get 44.2mh on vega 64 (custom water cooled) but only with power target +50% core 852 mem 1100.
while setting power target to -25% max ram speed is 500 - there seems to be a bug in blockchain driver. will test stable driver soon

This is a good 1750 MHz strap for Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB cards with Hynix memory from BuriedOne on Youtube.

Code:
777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB030000001B162C31C0313F17

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiPCwJV_ryM

I copied it over the 2:1750, 2:2000 and 2:2250 timings on a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB Special Edition (blue faceplate) and get ~29.25 MH/s ETH + 935 MH/s DCR with a core clock 1120 MHz, memory clock 2200 MHz, -96 mV undervolt and power limit -15% in Afterburner. Runs stable with no memory errors.

thank you, can i also test it for a rx480 4gb ?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Database for AMD RX 4xx/5xx BIOS on: September 03, 2017, 03:09:01 PM
begin at 1930 mem speed i got memory errors, so have to go back to 1900 without undervoltage.
result: 27.1mh
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Database for AMD RX 4xx/5xx BIOS on: September 03, 2017, 11:29:06 AM
ok, thank you.

i have a 4gb rx480 sapphire nitro+ oc hynix (stock 20-21mh)

at first i have copied 1500 straps to above.
with this i get already 25mh.
after it i set clock to 1250 and mem to 1950 and get 27.5mh

are there some additional tweak which get me nearly to 30mh?

Hi all,

is there any Database for Downloading some already tweaked BIOS'es ?
alternativly is the a noob guide how to tweak bios for mining best?
I am not yet very firm in tweaking it myself.

When you start a miner, one card shows 511 degrees!
Lord, I do not know what to do (
Card RХ480 Sapphire

i have the same on one of my rx580 ... does anyone have a solution ? i think it is damaged...

Where does it show its 511 degrees?  If its only in claymore than it is probably just a bug.

from my side it was within ethos and also in windows with claymore 9.5.
card is long time laying around - will try it again with new setup and miner.
